OK, lets rather up random shots of whatever you feel like posting here, also if you like feedback or help post processing, or tips etc on composition, colour, equipment useage etc...

I'll start off with a zip of 40 pics of my USA trip last year, a selection of 40 pics from a batch of almost 3000....;)

USA 2005

If you need a bigger sample dont hesitate to ask, be advised though a few of these have been cropped a bit to improve composition.

indeed those pics are just beatiful, hands down! :o I like the way you use a white frame and that gray font at the bottom, what program do you use for that?

here's a couple I took, I know they pale in comparison to yours as my camera pales next to your camera: :D

I have the Canon EOS 20D D-SLR cam with the following lenses

17-40 f/4L
50mm f/1.4
100mm f/2.8 Macro
70-200mm f/2.8L
400mm f/5.6L
1.4x focal length extender (for use on the 70-200 and 400 lenses)

I have polarizing filters (for those blue skies :)) for use on all of the lenses mentioned.

During my time in the USA i didn't have the 70-200 and 400mm lenses yet, but a 75-300 IS DO lens (basically a very compact telezoom lens through special lens design) but it's images were a bit soft in most cases.

90% of the USA pics were made with the 17-40 wideangle lens. On my cam this is basically your walkaround lens. i used the 100mm lens on the cricket picture, and the 70-300 on the ground squirrel pair picture.

I made the white frame in photoshop on which i kept pasting and resizing the picture, retyping the notes per picture before saving them as jpgs. I didnt use the RAW format yet, i didnt have much space on my cards to survive 4 weeks shooting RAW only ;)

I did run a bit of post processing in photoshop on all of the pics, i looked at cropping the composition, the colour intensity (saturisation), contrast and levels (basically the histogram).

Norby, what cam you have? You do seem to get nice resolution on especially the Bee picture, if that is the original size that sure is a good picture technically, especially if it's a non-SLR made image.

EDIT:

Oh, and if you want tips on what cities and parks to visit in the US, I loved San Francisco the most, even more than New York. Can't miss Yosemite Park either in June, lots of water in the falls as the snow melts and that valley is just immense :o

Then there is of course the Grand Canyon, and also Bryce Park as a lot of accomodations inside. All in all i might go back to those specific places and spend more time there...

I own a Canon Powershot A510, not a professional cam maybe I'll buy a better one when I feel the need for it.. :P

that's the original size (3,2 MP), what do you mean by non-SLR?
