It has started to snow this morning and when enough had accumulated I got out my camera.

Sure looks peaceful and quiet. How much snow did you get? Here it is a third of the way through January and we've had a grand total of 1 inch of snow. I have yet to run the snow blower. We've had some rain and it is raining right now, but no snow and no extreme temperatures. The lowest its gotten to is 6 degrees.

Your whole pond area has developed so nicely. You must be very proud of it. :goodone:

We got about an inch today DP and then it melted off. Right now as I type this (almost 10:pm) it's snowing again. Supposed to get pretty cold here tonight so the roads will be icy. I hope no one wrecks but I do love the quiet it brings. We have a steep hill on one side of our property and a fairly steep hill on the otherside so all the cars avoid this area if at all possible. If the do take the chance they go by very slow. It's heaven to my ears

I am quite surprised that you don't have more snow. I remember lots of talk from you about removing snow and the video's with your dogs in the snow. :popcornguy:

The pond looks so nice with all the white. It has come along way since I built it but you know how that goes... I'm going to be changing things first chance I get

I can't remember a year with so little snow. Of course, we've been in a drought since early last summer and it seems to be continuing. We have been getting some rain of and on, but not in the usual amounts. We're going to be in the 50's today and then go back into the twenties for highs, but still no significant snow.

That is sweet T. Wow, what a change you have made. :)

Our total snowfall for Dec was 14 inches. Lots of shoveling.

Friday it was 57 degrees and yesterday it was 64 so no more snow. It rained a lot last night with temps dropping. It will only get to a high of 40 today. :boohooguy:

It's 22 F today and snowing lightly. I might have to get the snow blower running today as there is some accumulation. Looks like winter is finally arriving. All the ice had gone off the pond over the last few days and now the pond is covered but for the area around the bubbler. I haven't used the floating heater yet this winter.

We have been down into the high teens and low 20's and I finally had considerable amount of ice on the pond. More cold for us and I don't mind.

DP, I hope you get your snowblower going without an problems.

Started on the second pull. Got the driveway cleared and put salt on the ice underneath.
