This is the path that I said I was working on. This general area is where our septic tank used to be. I'm working on using up some stuff we have had laying around to that needed to either go to the dump or I don't know what else we would have doen with it.

I'll post another pic when I'm done.

I'm glad you were able to get the bench ready in time for the visit. What a good memory of the weekend.
Where was the wrench for tightening up the bolts though? :)

Oh boy am I tired. I need a crane to get me out of the bed the next day. That is a ton of rock but I did employ the tractor to help move it. I guess that is cheating but I don't care ;)

Hey, get this, my hubby even helped! :faint: He did! He helped me get those concrete steps in place and was patient too! :faint: Some nice big flat stones would have looked better but they are expensive and I was able to use these up and not have them in the landfill. They should be very safe for my Aunt to use.

Don't blame you one bit. I would have done the same. Even if you did use the tractor you still had a lot to do by hand I am sure.

So nice when the hubby helps. Wish I could pry mine out of the wheelchair. He can walk when he really wants to but depends on the chair.

I like the plants you're getting established. The whole area is coming along very nicely.

Final report on the bench project

This is the new rock wall behind the bench and the set of steps to get to the bench. All stained and sealed.

It's really nice to sit out there in the evening after the pond is in shade. When the sun is out, the bench is hotter than Hades. It's up high enough to be able to look down on the fish and turtles and just enjoy them.
