My pond has pretty much recovered from the raccoon devastation about a month ago. I also purchased some new fish the other day. I folded the net back today to do some work in the pond, so you will probably see netting in some of the pics.

You can see my blue shubunkin at the bottom of this pic:

In this pic you can see "Blot" - guess which one he is?

Yes your pond looks great. I totally forgot what your pond looks like.

I'm surprised your fish are not still hiding. Those are some handsome fish you purchased.

Is that your water willow next to the umbrella palm? Mine is blooming this weekend.

Yes, that is my water willow. In the spring I divided it and only kept a small clump. Mine actually bloomed a few weeks ago. The raccoon damaged it too when he visited, but it has rebounded for the most part. Watch for "root jumpers" on that plant Froggy - I found some "new" plants recently growing in the rocks from roots that jumped the edge of the pot.

Funny thing is after the raccoon attacked, the fish never really hid. They were out the next day like nothing happened. I thought that was rather strange.

I'm really happy with the fish I purchased. I didn't know at the time, but I bought a large sarasa with an orange head and a pristine white body. When I got home and took a good look at him, his mouth is deformed and he has a growth hanging down at the corner of his mouth (about 1/4" long). He looks healthy and eats and acts fine. I'm not sure what the growth is, but looking at his mouth and eye area, it seems like he had an old injury that healed funny. I tried to get a pic, but it was just too hard.

Nice fish A. You better feed them cause they look hungry to me. ;)

I really hate all those flowers and plants you have. They are super ugly and I think you need to dig them up and put them in my yard (oh, and would you water them too).

If you find anymore water willow I would love to get some. I will gladly pay for the plant plus shipping.

Melanie, go post in the "Swap" section that you are looking for water willow. Maybe someone will feel sorry for you and send you some. I would but mine isn't doing so hot. :(

Thanks for the nice comments guys and gals. Just to clarify, ALL of those fish aren't new. Just a few...

Just got back from a 3 day vacation. I really missed my pond! But all is well, thank goodness.

I'll see if I can dig out a water willow, Freckleface, and will let you know.

T, the nice thing about the pond plants is that you don't have to water them! Maybe that's the problem! :P
