The red flowers are Monarda, or Bee Balm. You might like to read about this interesting plant here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monarda It was used by native Americans as a multi-purpose medicinal herb. Don |

The yellow flowers are primrose (Oenothera. As they stop blooming, they will be replaced by the yellow blooms of day lily. Don |

My DH has a friend at work who is in the process of building a pond. He wants to make his own rocks like you DP. I'm trying to get him to join the forum. The funny thing is he recently went on a pond tour around the county. He took a survey of the 20 pond owners he visited: What do you do for a living? 18 of them responded "I'm retired!". Your pond always looks so perfect and immaculate. Thanks for sharing the beautiful pics. |
