Awesome! I don't remember you having that many fish. Not that you have too many at all, I just thought you had like 8. Do you know how many you do have? Love the black one - I hope he doesn't change too much! I still like the copper/bronze ones you have too. Pond looks fabulous. I'm jealous of your lilies. We just got 2 in. of snow last night (with more to come this weekend), so my lily is still REALLY dormant. Your pond definitely looks like spring has sprung! Have you tried using barley straw extract for the string algae? I started putting some in my pond a few weeks ago, and it has done an amazing job at keeping the string algae at bay. I've also been putting in some cold water bacteria. Great video! Thanks for sharing. |

Nice video, Those orfe are sure growing! What is your water temp? If you are bothered by the looks of the string algae in your stream you can shut your pump off. Once the water stops flowing pour or spray Hydrogen Peroxide on the algae let sit 10 minutes and start your pumps back up. The algae will turn dark in a couple of days and wash right off. |

Nice video, love the pond. We had 6 black goldfish come from somewhere last year  I think they might have hitched a ride with some plants we bought last year. |

Thanks for the tour, T. It's nice to see how your pond has matured. I still remember the picture of you at the bottom of the hole that you dug with the backhoe. It really was worth all the effort, wasn't it? You'll have to do another video after the water lilies get their growth going. Don't mess too much with string algae in the stream, as that is probably what is keeping you pond water so clear. It's using up the nitrate. DP |

A, I think I have 14-17 baby goldfish, 2 adult goldfish, 5 orfes and 5 koi. I think I have too many fish myself with knowing that they will just get bigger. I am hoping that I won't have anymore and have been trying to talk anyone I can find into building a pond so I can "share" them. I usually add koi clay to the pond but I have just been lazy and have no other good reason other than that. Froggy, the pond temp today was 62 but it has been running right at 50. Today was a very warm day but that will soon change. DP, yes all the digging was totally worth it. I love having it and like the fact that I did it mostly myself. I will get another video once my lilies get going and hopefully the pads won't be filled with aphids :swear: T |

Thanks so much for sharing your pond. It looks great. I agree with Don about the string algae. I just remove the excess manually about once a week. |
