Biography

Born 28 Nov 1935, Toronto Hospital, descendant of famous British Boer War General Buller. Family immigrated to Canada in 1929. Redvers is the only son of Patrick and Sarah Buller.

Attended George Brown College 1947 – 1952

Attended York University, gaining BA Hons in Law 1953 – 1957, Specialising in Industrial Law

Joined the Liberal Party in 1950

Worked as Solicitor within Legal Dept of Hewlett Packard 1960 – 1964

Worked as Solicitor within Newfoundland Liberal Party 1964 – 1966

Resigned to focus on political activities within the National Liberal Party

Elected Member of the Provincial Ontario Parliament in 1967 – 1969, in a by-election

Elected to Parliament in 1974

Interests:

Married Rachel Collingwood in 1970 with one son, Derrick, born in 1975.

You realize that York was founded in 1959, George Brown was founded in 1969 (and didn't really offer BAs until the 1990s), there's no such thing as a BA in Law (you're thinking of the LL.B, which is a graduate degree), there is no "Toronto Heavitree Hospital", Hewlett-Packard Canada was headquartered in Montreal until the 70s, and that having lived in Quebec and Newfoundland for most of your professional life, you'd be a very odd choice for an Ontario provincial byelection, yes?
