Trainer Orientation: Chaotic Neutral Trainer Class: Battle Girl, Fireworks Expert Starter Pokémon: Cynadaquil

- "Any complaints!?

Nova [Male Typhlosion]: ~ "Lucky for you, I enjoy danger."Nova has been at Kūkaku's side since she was a little girl, and the old expression of trainers and Pokémon being like each other is quite accurate. Nova is a very aggressive and often angry Pokémon. He has an air of smug confidence about him that most Pokémon don't have. In many ways, its rightly deserved given his track record of wins, but that mostly stems from his unrelenting rushdown style. Rarely does he leave a moment for his opponent to even catch their breath. He'll then proudly stand as the victor and often talk a bit of condescending advice. Torrent can quite easily put Nova in his place, and Nova will struggle against opponents who can deal with his power and speed with thick defenses.
Ability: Flash Fire Moves: Flame Wheel, Flame Charge, Crush Claw, Shadow Claw, Throat Chop, Flare Blitz, Giga Impact Forge [Male Magmar]: ~ "Is that seriously as hard as you're willing to work?"Forge, as his name suggests, is a Pokémon raised with utility in mind. He's often loaned out to her brothers to help with their respective work. That said, he's her Pokémon, and his loyalty lies with her. While he's not a particularly strong Pokémon compared to Nova and Torrent, he's a Pokémon who will give it his all. He loyally carries out any command from Ku to the letter. This means he doesn't do a lot of improvisation on his own, which can mean he's predictable in combat, but he's at least consistent and reliable.
Ability: Flame Body Moves: Sunny Day, Flamethrower, Smokescreen, Brick Break, Helping Hand Torrent [Male Blastoise]: ~ "With this cannon, we'll easily get you there."Torrent serves many purposes, a fire extinguisher, a cannon, a means of transportation, a method of cooling off. Not even to mention the strength he can bring to a battle. Torrent in many ways is Nova's opposite. While Nova is brash and aggressive, Torrent is calm and patient. Torrent's cannons are incredibly power, typically used to launch various fireworks, in rare instances, Torrent has even been used to propel Ku an impressive distance. Torrent doesn't like to fight that much and is more of a gentle giant gun turtle than most would expect. Often he'll serve as Nova's voice of reason when he loses his cool.
Ability: Torrent Moves: Hydro Cannon, Hydro Pump, Rain Dance, Iron Defense, Surf, Waterfall, Water Gun

- "I see... I get the picture. Alright, I'll take on the job."

Kūkaku Stands at 5'6", and aside from two notable assets, is thin as a board. There is very little fat on her body, her thin frame is mostly summarizable as well toned muscle on bone. At first glance, it's hard to say what would catch your eye first. There's her ample bosom, but also her missing arm is quite capable of drawing attention. Her right arm was lost in an accident she doesn't much like to talk about, the remaining stump she keeps wrapped and often has a familial knife attached to it. She has a wooden prosthetic she'll use in public, but she prefers to leave it off when she can due to it being uncomfortable after having it on for too long. On her left arm is a tattoo of the Shiba family crest.
She's a bit of a minimalist when it comes to dressing and makeup, a much more natural beauty rather than an artificial one. She uses a little eyeliner to make her green eyes pop, and sometimes uses something to gloss her lips a bit, but that's typically it. Rather than spend time doing her hair, she simply wraps her head and hair in a loose cloth bandage that's a bit thicker cut then what she wraps her arm with. Her messy black hair pokes through in a few places as well as the main length running down to above the midpoint of her back splitting in two and going either side. She wears a very minimal red rob that leaves a good amount of skin showing and leaves her chest rather free to move. Around her feet are similar wraps to her arm rather than socks, and they're typically in traditional wooden sandals. Occasionally she wears a white cape style jacket when out and about.

Kūkaku isn't by many accounts a nice lady. She's the type to demand respect and is more than willing and capable of beating it into you. She's not particularly agro towards women or quieter boys, but a loudmouth will take her from zero to sixty in no time flat. She's particularly hard on her brother, and in many ways, he's a man who's in a lose-lose situation at most times. That said it's clear she loves him, and while she'll whoop him good for not being able to stand up for himself, hell hath no fury like Kūkaku's wrath on whatever bastard beat her brother in the first place.
It'd be reasonable to say that she uses her sexuality to get ahead based on the way she dresses, but it's almost the opposite. Even so much as mentioning her looks often prompts her more aggressive side. It's almost as if she uses it as an excuse to pick fights and justify them. But of course she'd never admitted to that, and anyone to accuse her of it is going to be in for a world of hurt. There's very little that Kūkaku won't speak her mind about, and she'll always push for change when she isn't happy with the way things currently are. She often speaks out of turn, which can end up problematic depending on the situation, but she refuses to sit idly by and hear things she isn't interested in.

Name: Kaien Shiba Age: 37 (Oct 27) Gender: Male Relationship: Brother Trainer Orientation: Neutral Good Trainer Class: Shiba Family Head
Kaien is the eldest of the Shiba siblings. He was forced to take on the role of the family head at an early age, and he holds true to what he remembers of his father's teachings. He's an incredibly kind and compassionate man who will throw himself into the line of fire to help others. He has a deep-rooted love for his younger sister, being her rock after the family collapse and the loss of her arm. The only love that compares is the love he has for his wife Miyako. He trusts Kūkaku with actually running the family trade and keeping that aspect of their lineage strong. Meanwhile, he's content to make decisions for the family in general, and preserve the practice of the family martial art, code, and foundations in Ki usage. He's willing and eager to pass this knowledge down not only to his siblings but his anticipated children, as well as his siblings' children. If they'll ever find people who can put up with them that is.
Name: Ganju Shiba Age: 24 (Oct 15) Gender: Male Relationship: Brother Trainer Orientation: Chaotic Neutral Trainer Class: "Henchman." Ruffian
The loudest, biggest, and youngest of the Shiba siblings. Ganju is a man who claims to have nothing but bad luck in life. He's never been able to hold a job that wasn't given to him by his sister. He's terrible with relationships. And he's gotten in trouble with the law numerous times in most cases on no fault of his own. It's because of this, Ganju is fairly content to tag along with Kūkaku whenever she goes. Naturally, he doesn't want to cramp her, so he does his own thing until called to work. Wherein he'll fall in line as a faithful kid brother, "Henchman," to help. Ganju's the type of man to pick fights and challenge others to prove his worth, mostly to himself. The few reliable friends he has, while thuggish, are actually quite dependable. They've even been known to work under contract for Kūkaku from time to time.
Name: Koganehiko and Shiroganehiko Age: 49/49 Gender: Male/Male Relationship: House Guards, Family Servants Trainer Orientation: Neutral Good Trainer Class: House Guards, Shiba Family Servants
Koganehiko and Shiroganehiko are the incredibly faithful and devoted brothers that serve the Shiba family. They are twin brothers who have been serving the Shiba since before Kaien was born, and after the Shiba family collapse, where the only people to remain loyal to the family. They had no extraneous ties that caused them any fear, they were devoted to the Shiba and would see the children to happy lives. Koganehiko and Shiroganehiko Are very strong, and well-educated men, and serve orders from any of the Shiba siblings to a T. They are incredibly respectful towards others, more than their respective masters, and offer a good first impression on their behalf. They keep their opinions and ideas to themselves, for the most part, only rarely sharing what's on their mind without directly being asked. They are easily Kūkaku's hardest working men, and when they aren't with her, they'll typically be with Kaien.

- "This is my home. If you don't like the way I run this place, you can get the hell out!"
-
Kūkaku was born as the second child and first and only daughter into her generation of the Shiba family. They were a respected family, for the most part, a stable of the Ecruteak City community with a history of construction and fireworks. Their name often came up around times of celebration and change. Most people wouldn't have said they had enemies, but that wasn't truthful. The Shiba family rarely stayed silent when troublesome matters arose. When Rocket made its push in Johto, Kūkaku's parents became active rebellers against them. Kūkaku was about nine then, and Rocket was full of shady characters. Much like the ruins of Ho-Oh's tower, the Shiba's home would burn, the Shiba would fall.
Kaien was a teenager, He carried Kūkaku in his arms with Ganju scarred clinging to his shirt as they fleed their family home and made for the hospital. Kūkaku's arm had been broken and burned, damaged beyond repair. It would be amputated, her brother's at her side while she recovered. Their parents would perish in the blaze, but the family servants had managed to get out and clear the path for Kaien and his siblings. It would be two days before they joined the children in the hospital. They would've gone sooner, but legal affairs, as well as arranging for the care of the parent's bodies, had been a time-consuming ordeal. They'd also made to contact Isshin Kurosaki, the uncle of the children to ask about their next course of action.
Housing was arranged for them on the outskirts of Ecruteak City. Kaien still but a teenager became the head of the Shiba household. Koganehiko and Shiroganehiko served as his advisers, and are likely the only reason the Shiba name remained. They also saw to Kūkaku and Ganju's education. They helped further Kaien's understanding of the Shiba family martial arts, as well as the harnessing of Ki. Meanwhile, Kūkaku was taught the trades of the family, learning the firework trade as well as construction, and the tools she'd need to take up running the family business. Kūkaku wasn't content, and she sought to learn the family style as well, Kaien was happy to train and teach her, it provided a way to bond and get over the loss of their parents.
When Kaien began to date and soon after married Miyako, their connection lessened. Kūkaku had no intention of impeding their relationship. They still spent a good amount of time together, and Kūkaku and Miyako became good friends. Kūkaku has yet to find a man that makes her fell love the way her brother and sister-in-law do, and until she does, she won't be settling down. Koganehiko and Shiroganehiko have stayed in her service, letting Kaien and Miyako live a more peaceful life while Kūkaku takes up running the family business and putting the Shiba name back on the map. Ganju also sticks with Kūkaku, he's tried striking out on his own multiple times, but the only consistent place for him has been at his sister's side. No matter how much he gets reprimanded for messing up.
Kūkaku doesn't have much intention of moving out of Johto for the time being. It's been hard rebuilding the Shiba name after its collapse. She'll travel around the region, setting up temporary shops on the outskirts of whichever city she goes to. She's made the trek to Kanto a couple of times to scout out the market there. She'll certainly set up a branch there someday, hopefully, sooner rather than later. As much as the darkness has been a tragedy, the destruction, as a result, has admittedly been good for business. She isn't going to let it go ignored though, and with Kaien certain to help keep Ecruteak City safe, she see's it partially as her job to help keep other places in Johto safe. And hell, maybe it'll help straighten out Ganju too.

Regular Abilities______________________________________ └-Skills, professions, knowledge and talents.Fireworks: Fireworks are one of the Shiba families longest held trades. Kūkaku devoted herself to the trade of pyrotechnics, and with a knowledge and skill base to back it up, claims to the best pyrotechnician in all of Johto, or whatever region she's currently occupying. She's a veritable jack of all trades when it comes to fireworks, and can craft some with purposes one might not expect from fireworks. Her preference will always be to traditional Asian styles, she is knowledgeable and fluent in more western styles as well. │ ├-Type: Talent├-Category: Creative└-Level: MasterKnowledge (Architecture): Kūkaku took up managing and running the family business, while she's partial to the Pyrotechnics side, she's quite knowledgeable in the construction aspects as well. She's familiar with the key aspects of Architecture, and looking at the Shiba property shows a clear indication she likes to abuse that knowledge. Koganehiko and Shiroganehiko, as well as her younger brother Ganju, are her primary workers. Most others are friends of Ganju or local workers she'll hire out on contract for a project. │ ├-Type: Talent├-Category: Creative└-Level: ExpertMartial Abilities______________________________________ └-Weapon specializations and fighting styles.Shiba Style Martial Arts: Kūkaku trained in the family style of martial arts with her elder brother. The Shiba style pulls lightly from other traditional styles to form a gentle blend around a fairly aggressive overall style. The Shiba style is strongly tied to Ki usage in overall style. Kūkaku trains much less frequently now but still holds familiarity with all that she's learned. Much of Kūkaku's style has had to be adapted to accommodate for her missing arm. To make up for this, she utilizes Ki moreso in combat to better enhance her abilities. She doesn't actually have much control over her Ki like her brother does. Instead, Kūkaku's Ki is much less precise and often volatile when it comes out in combat. As it's a direct stimulus to her body rather than being channeled through a weapon, she's considerably stronger as a result. However, this can quickly overtax her body and her Ki, causing a very harmful burnout. │ ├-Type: Physical, Ki├-Category: Fighting Style, Ki Enhancement└-Level: Journeyman- Techniques─┘

Reishūkaku Shield: Kūkaku can channel her own Ki, as well as slightly influencing others Ki into an object. This object is specifically the Reishūkaku. This orb serves to Channel Ki into a barrier that can withstand an immense amount of force depending on the Ki of those channeling into it. Aside from the Reishūkaku, Kūkaku isn't precise enough in channeling to effectively imbue other objects in the same way. Instead, the force will damage and often break whatever the object is. │ ├-Type: Skill ├-Category: Ki Imbument └-Level: Journeyman
Kagizaki: A technique that moves a user's Ki to a focal point before detonating outwards. This technique sees much of Kūkaku's Ki move to her left hand with a fairly distinct visual energy. This energy must quickly be used or it will disperse back through her body in only a few seconds. Once the energy is amassed a blow from Kūkaku will erupt with energy strong enough to wreck the contents of a room and send a full grown man flying across the room. This can rather easily be used to blast in doors or as a means of propellant for Kūkaku's larger "firework" cannons. As it's a channeling of a large amount of Ki, Kūkaku usually can't use it again for a while. She'll need to briefly rest to recover. │ ├-Type: Physical ├-Category: Ki Projection └-Level: Expert
Raikōhō: A technique that uses an immense amount of the users Ki, focusing it into a lightning-like blast that can be shot from the user's hands. Kaien has instructed Kūkaku specifically not to use this technique due to the toll it can have on the body of the inexperienced. It's severely taxing on the user's stamina, especially if they aren't properly trained to deal with using the technique. The tradeoff is an immensely powerful attack that's strong enough to cleanly blast through most walls and vehicles. Kūkaku currently can only use this move once every few days, and doing so severely drains her energy, leaving her strength laughable, and her stamina abysmal. │ ├-Type: Physical ├-Category: Ki Projection └-Level: Apprentice

Weapons_________________________________________________ └-Weapon and munitions.
Familial Work Knife: A special knife engraved with the Shiba family crest on the handle. It's often strapped to what remains of her right arm. It's a smooth knife that can make a very clean cut. Typically she uses it to cut fuses and fabric, but she could use it as a weapon if needed as it's a little under a foot in blade length.
Sword: Kūkaku, at the request of Kaien, also in possession of a more traditional katana. It has a brownish orange handle with gold trimming and a fairly traditional make. She doesn't like to have it on her person all the time like she does her knife, as it's awkwardly large by comparison. When she does have it on her, it will be similarly strapped to her arm, taking the place of her knife, although tied slightly higher on the stump of her arm for better weight distribution.
Miscellany______________________________________________ └-Small items, tools, or other important belongings.
Pipe: A carved smoking pipe with gold accents. While it may seem trivial, Kūkaku is fond of this pipe, more specifically this style. She's had to have it replaced more times than she'd like to admit, and most of those times resulted in someone else being severely injured. Many times that was Ganju. The craftsman lives in Ecruteak City, so if it does break she'll have to wait for a trip home to get a replacement.
Reishūkaku: A decently sized orb that is glass in appearance. This orb is often kept at home, or it will be kept in an over the shoulder bag when out. This orb is a family heirloom made a long time ago and serves as a means of focusing Ki. When Ki is channeled into the orb, it will produce a barrier proportional to the amount of Ki infused. Usually, it's enough to surround a few people. Multiple people can channel Ki into the orb strengthening the barrier, however, it will grow no larger than a diameter of 12ft. │ └─Artifact

- "You destroyed my house."
-
A look of frustration rested on Kūkaku's face, her brow was furrowed tightly, her teeth firmly gritted. Her hand was raised in a clenched fist next to her face as she held in the worst of her anger. Under her foot was the head of her younger brother, face pressed into the remains of the broken floor mat. The room around them was charred and destroyed. A burly man peered timidly through a hole blasted in one of the wall screens, a piece of wood framing embedded in the wall behind him. In the middle of the room, under a sizable pile of scraps and rubble from the floor above, was an unconscious snarky brat who'd gotten into it with Ganju. Next to him lay the remains of her pipe.
"GANJU! How many times do I have to tell you to behave yourself? Picking a fight with someone that quick... Look what you two brats did!" She then lifted her foot and allowed Ganju to right himself. He didn't bother to look around the destroyed room, he was familiar enough with this level of damage from events in the past, he simply took a more comfortable position and bowed in apology. Truth be told, the only thing they'd broken was a floor mat and a door, the rest had been from Kūkaku, he wasn't about to correct his sister though, that wouldn't end well.
Accepting her brother's apology, Kūkaku then moved to the buried brat. She not so gently grabbed the back of his head and pulled him out of the rubble pile. Holding him up to see if he was conscious enough to listen. He wasn't. She then casually tossed the boy back to the floor, turning to the large man peering in. "Koganehiko! Take this kid to the guest room. Keep an eye on him, and bring him to me when he wakes up." The burly man quickly rose to attention, bowed and in a flash had the boy tucked under an arm and was gone. Kūkaku let out a sigh as her hand reached for where her pipe would be strapped to her missing arm. Oh wait, that's right. It was broken on the floor. As the well of frustration came bubbling back, Ganju fled the room as fast as he could. "GAAAAAAAH!!!"
