Yůtů [Carbink] - "I would rather be married to broken jade than flawless clay." On a vacation in Johto's Ecruteak City, Lise and her brother had the pleasure of visiting the local dance theater. Lise had proved herself to be quite the performer when the kimono girls asked for someone from the audience to come up and dance with them. They were all so impressed with her dancing, that they decided to gift Lise with a foreign Pokémon egg. Little did Lise know that the egg would hatch into a rare variant of Kalos' Jewel Pokémon. Yůtů is an incredible entertainer and is Lise's signature Pokémon when she performs as Chang'e. Yůtů's unique coloration makes it a perfect casting for Chang'e's companion, the Jade Rabbit. Lise was initially surprised with the accelerated rate at which Yůtů gains experience, but eventually concluded that Yůtů loves to challenged and always searches for an opportunity to learn. Level 22 Ability: Clear Body Move Pool: Light Screen, Dazzling Gleam,Reflect, Protect, Safeguard Claíomh Solais [Male Gandolph] - "You helped me make my dream come true."
On a visit to Unova's Undella Bay, Lise was introduced to the talented Pokémon Finjoy. At the sight of her, the young Finjoys scrambled over to Lise as they were overjoyed to have an audience. They began performing feats of incredible stage magic and impressive juggling with rocks and seashells. The display was very entertaining until a jealous Finlock emerged from the water and harassed the poor Finjoys with a barrage of Bubblebeam attacks. The poor Clown Pokémon tried to retaliate with a Supersonic attack but was overpowered by their more powerful evolution. Without hesitation, Lise jumped into the fray, defending the injured Finjoys from any further attack. As she braced herself for a direct fire of bubbles, she was surprised to see the Pokémon performing an Aqua Ring in order to get her attention. It truly bore no ill will towards the Finjoys but instead had trouble sharing the spotlight with other Pokémon. Strangely moved by this desperate act for attention, Lise captured the excitable Finlock in hopes to train it as a talented performer. Now a matured Gandolph, it dresses in an outfit that contrasts its Trainer's when she performs as Shiny Chariot. Level 44 Ability: Magician Move Pool: Bright Pulse, Dive, Double Team, Flash, Ice Beam Kornerupine [Female Glalie]: - "People who deny the existence of dragons are often eaten by them from within."
During a winter solstice celebration Snowpoint City, Lise found herself escaping the excitement of the festival in order to appreciate the white-covered wilderness. Acuity Lakefront lay just on the outskirts of the city and was a perfect place to watch over the ice cold water. As she lazily watched the falling snowflakes, a glimmer of brilliant green caught her eye as it flew over the water freezing the lake behind it. This intimidating Pokémon displayed its brilliant green eyes and horns before letting out an echoing cry. Lise was surprised to find a Glalie in out in the wilderness, as its habitats are usually deep caverns, but she did not question it for long as she captured the gem-colored Pokémon and assigned it to her most dangerous persona. Kornerupine is the signature Pokémon of Mithra and uses its powerful ice attacks to subdue the reptilian beasts. Level 36 Ability: Ice Body Move Pool: Freeze-Dry, Blizzard, Headbutt, Hail, Shadow Ball, Ice Shard

Lise (civilian) Lise: Rejoicing in the style of all things airbrushed and undead, in her free time, Lise dresses in a plethora of 'grungy' outfits that feature ripped fabric or profanity. A tangled mess of ebony locks ripples down her back ending in a knotted nest at her waistline. Despite her natural eye for fashion, Lise prefers to dress comfortably as opposed to formally. Although she is infatuated with the alternative-underground style, Lise is hesitant to brand her body with tattoos that might jeopardize her career. Septum, lip, and cartilage piercings are her preferred way of expressing herself as she can remove them before she goes on stage.
Ashamed of her ocular condition, Lise wears gray contact lenses to hide a case of sectoral heterochromia in her right eye. The piercing blue eyes appear tarnished by the rust at the bottom of the iris from the result of a Dragon Taming accident when a Dragonair unleashed a Dragon Tail attack at the audience. Trying to calm the creature, the inexperienced 20-year-old was struck in the face with the creature's tail in order to protect the crowd. At formal events, Lise prefers dark makeup and nail polish to complete a "Gothic" red carpet look. Chang'e Chang'e: When Lise performs as Chang'e, Faerie of the Moon, a garment identical to those worn by Chinese empresses is donned in order to be culturally accurate. Her hair is done up in an ornamental style that dates back to the Tang dynasty when noblewomen kept their hair in elaborate braids in order to keep it out of their faces for festivals and celebrations. Long flowing robes dance like the dark clouds on a moonlit night and delicate ribbon sashes weave all over her body as if they have a life force of their own. During oriental celebrations such as the New Year, the Lantern Festival, and the Night of Sevens, she adorns an elaborate headdress and paints her face in dark blushes under the eyes that resemble the mask of a Tanuki.
Chang'e's soft green eyes pale the beauty of the coveted Jade stone. By daylight, her charm matches that of a sleeping lotus. Once the moon has risen, however, she blossoms into the alluring orchid impressing all who witness her captivating dances. Petals of the camellia or lotus flower are often embroidered into her gowns to symbolize perfection or purity. Charms and jewelry of jade and pearls adorn this moonlit maiden, some can even be traced to the Lunar Wing, a legendary artifact from the fabled Pokémon Cresselia. Chang'e often has a vial of Dream Mist on her body for performances to make elaborate illusions of wishful fantasies. Shiny Chariot Shiny Chariot: When Lise performs as Shiny Chariot, a stage magician who teaches the belief of following one's dreams, a wizard's guise from divine origins is chosen for this kind-hearted character. Her eyes appear as a soft and delicate rose color, just a few shades lighter than her crimson locks that hide beneath a divine witch's hat. The Shiny Rod or, Claíomh Solais, is a replica scepter that house seven pearls within the wood of the wand. Wielded by Shiny Chariot, this scepter symbolizes the Big Dipper, a smaller part of the constellation Ursa Major which many people associate with a long-tailed bear. Her broom 'The Shooting Star' is a legendary artifact that is said to be able to circle the globe in a single night. Its speed is unmatched by anything that can fly and it will only obey commands to those who are pure of heart.
Like a chivalrous knight, her red cape is a symbol of heroics as Chariot is a protector of dreams and aspirations. Her outfit is primarily a cleric's white with accents of a bright blue in the skirt, leggings, and hat rim. During festivals and special events, her ivory garments are lined with gold embroidery of constellations that shimmer when under stage lights. Known by fans all across the region of Kalos, Shiny Chariot is arguably the best-received persona of Lise's. Audiences have taken to her so much in fact, that a wave of merchandise has flooded Lumiose city depicting the red-haired stage witch for children of any age to enjoy. A series of Shiny Chariot trading cards have recently been published with varying rarities and artwork from the performer's stage shows. Mithra Mithra: When Lise performs as Mithra, the Champion Dragon Tamer, she masquerades as an armored hero who tames dangerous fire-breathing serpents. Her polished plate mail helps to mitigate wounds from claw or gore attacks but is mainly used as a costume piece to entertain the audience. Armed with a sword and shield, she challenges terrible beasts while defending citizens from a draconic invasion. Though often seen with a polearm, her weapon of choice is the relic, 'The Sword of Truth', which can cut through the toughest of hides without resistance. Also at her disposal is masterwork shield, known as 'The Shield of Virtue', is incredibly flame retardant and can endure temperatures of up to 4,000° Fahrenheit.
Symbols of crosses adorn Mithra's shield and armor as a constant reminder of good faith and victory. Underneath her armor, Mithra wears a pendant of the mythical Pokémon Victini, as a blessing for victorious combat. As beautifully detailed as her armor, Mithra's helm is decorated with the wings of an ancient Dragon-Type Pokémon and embellished with iridescent scales. Earrings of colored sapphire dangle from behind the ornate burgonet, sparkling from the shadows. Crafted in the image of dragons taking flight, Mithra's Pauldrons hold emeralds within the eye-sockets of these draconic shoulder pieces. Her gauntlets also house a single ruby on the back of each palm surrounded by decorative golden wyverns that circle each gem.

Lise (Civilian Lise: Though her taste in fashion may allude to a quiet disposition, Lise instead is a very excitable and extroverted person aiming to befriend anyone she meets. Aspiring to become as talented as her mother, she uses her performances to entertain and bring people closer together. She cares deeply about the given rights of people and Pokémon especially 'freedom of expression.' Lise is a dreamer and will do anything to help a friend reach their goals.
Although she loves to make friends, she enjoys being alone every once in a while to get away from the stage lights and cameras. Lise enjoys spending her leisure time watching broadcasted performances of different performers like stage magicians, dancers, and figure skaters. She loves spending quality time with her Pokémon and will often fall asleep with one after a tiring performance. Somewhat of a perfectionist, Lise strives to make each of her performances better than the last. She is known to spend all hours of the night perfecting a show and immediately practice it once the sun rises. Chang'e Change: As the Faerie of the Moon, Chang'e embodies all that is elegant from Chinese culture and mythology. She is quiet and introverted by nature, a specimen that prefers to be admired from afar rather than be approached. Her lilting voice and enticing dance charms all who are lucky enough to witness it, but she does not aim to impress just anyone. No instead, Chang'e performs for a sole viewer in hopes that he may emerge from the crowd and declare his love for her, the noble warrior Hou Yi.
Chang'e believes in tradition, and deviating from the ideals of her ancestors is a dishonorable act. A savant, she relishes in traditional arts of the Chinese culture. Pokémon that embody the lunar forces of beauty are easily prized by the crescent princess. A pacifist by nature, Chang'e is a diplomat and chooses to offer a clever compromise in the event of a disagreement. She is so disgusted by Pokémon battling that she has come to find the Fighting-Type Pokémon distasteful. Shiny Chariot Shiny Chariot: A defender of the young at heart and their dreams, Shiny Chariot instills hope into others with her performances. A beacon of happiness she aims to rid the world of sadness and instead see it rejoice in arms. While Shiny Chariot is very outgoing, she holds many secrets that she is ashamed of. Some topics of conversation can shift her mood into broody and melancholy. She can sometimes be seen as abrasive when she is enforcing help onto a friend, but she doesn't seem to understand when somebody doesn't want her help.
Curiously, Shiny Chariot has been confirmed to have dreams of quite literally touching the sky. When asked to elaborate, she mentions a promise and gets lost in a trance of reminiscing. Lise will openly admit that Shiny Chariot is her favorite persona to perform as. She claims that the character has such a great personality and courage that she wishes she could have all the time. Perhaps her most popular and memorable performance was when she banished the Forbidden Pokémon, Spiritomb, back into the spirit world, preventing it from threatening the safety of the audience. The feat was impressive when witnessed, but unbeknownst to anyone that the creature was merely a combination of Ditto and Zorua playing tricks for special effects. Mithra Mithra: Stalwart and noble, Mithra's bravery shines as brightly as the legendary ore that she was named after, mithril. A successor of the royal guard, her determination knows no bounds as her will to challenge every dragon will never spoil. Many believe that she is a benevolent spirit who defends off draconic attacks in order to defend the innocent, but that is not the case. It is true that she will protect those who are weak, but the true intentions of defeating dragons are in her wish to retire in the legendary 'Hall of Heroes.' Mithra believes that defeating the entire draconic population will accomplish that dream.
Pride is her biggest weakness as it can cause her to make reckless decisions only to save her reputation. In the same way, she is stubborn and will never refuse to be wrong or fail a challenge. Her Pokémon own up to an expectation of perfection, as a single mistake could cost a life when challenging dragons. Those who train these serpents can only be assumed to be warlocks of incredible power. An ancient force, drakes seek only to claim a land of fire and brimstone while watching humanity suffer from the flames. Mithra offers her respect only to those of political power, who have unmatched courage, or who have defeated her in battle. She prepares for the day when she can challenge the legendary dragon, Orichalcum.

From a young age, Lise had always been enamored by the art of entertainment. Watching her mother dance on live television was incredible, she had never witnessed somebody speak through movement before. Never knowing her father, Lise was raised solely by her mother until she reached the age of ten. A decade of close bonds with her mother formed a strange idolization for the woman, Lise wanted to be just like her. They would spend late nights dancing and cooking together along with her older brother Arnaud, yes this family was broken but it was perfect nonetheless. Childhood was a molding period where it shaped just what kind of person Lise wanted to be, an entertainer. With the help of her sibling and her mother, Lise would come to know the power of a smile and would vow to bring that strength to the entire world.
They were both very supportive of her dream and even her new step-father Ford had shown interest in her passion. Her loved ones were her strength and helped her begin her journey into becoming a global icon. While her parents traveled the world to perform as dancers, Lise received home-taught lessons from her mother on theatre and performance. Once her skills were honed, Lise was able to travel on her own and begin to make a name for herself. The first stage persona she created was the Chinese moon goddess Chang'e when studying ancient customs and culture in Ekutreak city. The character was received moderately well without any context or introduction but became more popular once Lise began interweaving her legends into the performance. After an estimated four months of performing as Chang'e, Lise was sought out by talent scouts and agents eager to sign her to a contract. With a new stage manager, she performed opening ceremonies during many oriental themed festivals and was a major contributing step towards global recognition.
With the overwhelming support from her family, Lise's second persona was made with her mother in mind. The celestial witch, Shiny Chariot, was a regional hit as a character who brought magic into the Unova hearts of workaholic urban residents. Shiny Chariot's debut was so widely praised that production for Lise's stage shows was greatly improved to feature more Pokémon, more special effects, and more stunts. The magical witch was greeted not only by adoring fans but with a wave of Unova exclusive merchandise including prop replicas, cosplay, and even a collectible series of trading cards. Lise's family was so proud of her success and continued to show support throughout her career. The popularity of Shiny Chariot continued, but Lise considered introducing another persona into her shows. While Chang'e was educational, and Shiny Chariot was inspirational, she feared that a demographic that she was not aiming towards were the thrill-seekers.
Thus, was the birth of her third and final persona, Mithra, the Campion Dragon Tamer. With the introduction of this character, audiences could now experience the adrenaline of being saved from a wild dragon as if they were in the medieval age. The show was received with initial positive reviews, but many critics were frightened by the intensity of the performances. Ignoring the advice of her stage manager, Lise continued to perform as Mithra under the impression that the show needed to only be perfected before people would come to enjoy it as much as Shiny Chariot. Although she knew it was dangerous, Lise was unable to anticipate the tragedy that would ensue at her next performance. A small crowd had gathered to watch Lise's performance titled, 'The Prophecy Foretold; Salamence, The Dragon Pokémon Awakens!' Among the audience was a very proud family of Arnaud, Lise's step-father, Ford, and Lise's mother, Marie. The show was impressive, including fire effects and explosions along with a real Salamence with a nasty temper. The entire performance ran so smoothly, that Lise had completely forgotten about the Salamence's temperament. She quickly acknowledged her mistake, however, as soon as the crowd began to cheer and flash the stage with photography. Being a Pokémon from dark caves, the loud noise, and bright lights aggravated the creature and in another instant, it broke free from its restraints and took flight above the crowd. The audience fled the scene, scattering like ants, but by this time there were so many people gathered, that only a few managed to escape its Hyper Beam without being injured. That evening over forty people were hospitalized due to injury, including Lise's dear mother.
After such a controversial performance, Lise's popularity began to decrease, so much so that her stage manager resigned from the contract and left Lise alone to deal with legal disputes for the injured. When the dust settled, Lise was devastated to find out that her mother did not survive the attack. The Hyper Beam broke several of her ribs into shards and fragments that threatened to lacerate her lungs. Without a confident surgeon, the doctors felt it was best to pull the plug and let her die painlessly. Traumatised from the loss of her mother, Lise began to suffer from a personality disorder where she could not distinguish herself from her personas. Simply donning a costume would cause her to become a completely different person. Nightmares plagued Lise for months, harassing her with the guilt of her deceased mother. She could hardly take the abuse anymore, as she nearly attempted of taking her own life to cease the remorse.
The factor that made her resist, was a single dream that almost felt like her mother reached out and spoke to her. She assured Lise that nobody resented her and that nothing could be done to have saved her, it was merely her time to leave this earth. Marie kissed her child's forehead one last time before asking a promise from her daughter.
"Do not give up your dream, give everyone on this earth a reason to be happy. Reach for the heavens, because that's where I'll be watching you from."
The dream was so vivid, Lise would've sworn that it was real. Upon waking up she found a convincing piece of evidence left on her pillow. A Lunar Wing, a feather from the legendary Maiden of Dreams, Cresselia. Though she could not hear the Pokémon's voice, Lise took this symbol as a sign and devoted her life to reaching the heavens only to one day meet her mother again. Through careful research and meditation, she has christened herself a new-found devout of Cresselia and vows to protect the dreams of everyone so long as she embarks on her quest.

This year's festival of the Chinese New Year began with an opening performance displaying the tragic love story between Chang'e and Hou Yi. Chang'e descended with a Decidueye, arm in arm onto the stage as a narrator identified the two as sweethearts Chang'e and Hou Yi, legendary gods of China's pantheon. Peace and harmony reigned over the province of China until the Jade Emperor cast down nine suns that threatened the mortal realm. The audience could feel the heat of the intense balls of gas approaching the stage, but the noble huntsman Hou Yi, played by Decidueye, shot down eight of the nine suns, sparing only one. Though the kingdom was saved, the Jade Emperor was not pleased, and out of spite stripped Chang'e and Hou Yi of their divinity. Denied of her godly status, Chang'e grew melancholy and no longer danced as she was once known for. Time passed and eventually, Chang'e and Hou Yi had discovered the elixir of life that would grant them immortality once again. Though their divinity was ensured, dark forces crept from the shadows in attempts to steal the elixir. They ambushed Chang'e when Hou Yi was gone hunting, and in an effort to prevent the elixir from being wielded by evil, she drank all of it. Too much for one person, Chang'e was not only made immortal, but she transcended the gods and was imprisoned in the moon with a Jade Rabbit as her only companion. The crowd wept for Chang'e as the pair of star-crossed lovers were destined to never meet again.
