PokéFiends is an open and expansive multi-region Pokémon roleplay that welcomes both canon and original characters. From the regions in the main games, the anime and side games, and even a bit more, you can travel anywhere.
Be wary, a darkness lurks in the night, a sinister creature haunts the edges of the moonlight. Turmoil brews, traveler, so take your first step with caution.
Four months ago, terror held the world in stand still. The attacks on both Saffron and Castelia have concluded... and despite the growing darkness, the people of the world band together to throw an event in the spirit of world unity and the courage to stand against this new foe.
The season is currently Spring. There winter snows have thawed and new growth springs up across the world. Periodically, chill remains in the air, but never for long does it hang about.
Welcome to PokéFiends. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Solgaleo is a large, white Pokémon resembling a white lion. It has a blunt muzzle with a blue-gray nose and pale blue eyes. The top half of its face is a deep blue area that shows a constantly changing starscape. Four yellow spikes frame Solgaleo's head like a crown and two more pairs of spikes adorn either side of its lower jaw, and each spike separates large tufts of Solgaleo's mane. Solid ridges—red nearest Solgaleo's head and yellow farther away—poke out of each tuft along the middle, except on the tufts on its cheeks and chin, with the topmost part wrapping around the tip of the tuft. Overall, its mane creates the impression of a stylized sun. Around each leg is a dark orange band, and there is a black spot on each foot. It has three black toes on each foot with long yellow claws. At the tip of its tail is a large black spot with a thin yellow rim. Its fur is notably metallic, yet soft to the touch.
In Radiant Sun phase, its metal-furred body emits powerful and blindingly bright sunlight as an aura, and the rest of its body changes to a brilliant glowing gold color for as long as it maintains this form. In the center of its faceplate/forehead, a third eye opens, and for as long as it remains open the stars shown in the celestial backdrop that is its face begin to fly by quickly, leaving brilliant trails behind them.
"A fierce pride and noble bearing draws forth the greatest light from within those who witness you."
Solgaleo can easily strike a figure that appears more bestial than anything else. Most of the time its mannerisms are almost entirely feline-like. This unintentionally conceals a duty-oriented mind supported by limitless bravery and calm cunning. Responsibility such as what is laid upon a Solgaleo's shoulders by Arceus shapes the entire Legendary species's conceptualization of its own existence. Words such as 'duty', 'strength', and 'nobility' ring true through the soul of every celestial lion.
Mistake them not for chivalrous knights, however, for a Solgaleo is still as much a beast as it looks, and tends towards a very capricious nature when its sensibilities are not engaged. Once it has claimed responsibility for something or someone, or been assigned such a task by one it acknowledges on its short list of superiors, Solgaleo will throw its titanic might into its every action towards seeing its duty through. Solgaleo can be a bit brash, but with an agile mind and extraordinarily sharp instincts it guides that forward-rushing nature of its own towards the culmination of its appointment.

"Grasp hold of the future with your fangs and carve away its sickness with your claws!"
The large white figure laid upon its side on a floor of solid sky. Within the star-filled faceplate that was his face, two of his eyes remained shut, their lids two softly-glowing vivid blue lines. Between the two, his third eye stood half-open, as he projected himself elsewhere. Though his body rested here in the Hall where the members of the Pantheon came and went, his spirit roamed out among the stars. The information ranged back to him, as though he were seeing a memory... stalking across the surface of the sun... the star that Arceus commissioned, HIS sun. He chased solar flares, and gamboled about fields of nuclear fire without a care, surrounded in comforting warmth and light. Were it any other star even he would be reduced to constituent atoms in an instant, but this star was his own, and that bond ran deep.
His memories always felt like they were happening a long time ago and right now, a curious thing made all the more curious by the fact he realized this should not be. With this eye he had breached the walls of countless dimensions, with his will alone he had traveled through the dark places between stars, glimpsed some of what the local galaxy had to offer. But he would always come back here, almost as if orbiting this world, in this dimension, in this time. All because Arceus had granted him a shard of Creation and bade him to bathe this world in life-giving light, to keep it warm and lit against the ravages of darkness. A beacon, this star of his, a sign, a portent, a guardian.
This could be said of Solgaleo himself, he realized, casting his supernatural gaze down towards the world from the High Heaven, running his vision over the islands of Alola. He was revered as a deity there, along with the... bat. He'd tamed the Tapus, and put an end to the wars merely as a matter of course. There were more important things for them to worry about, and they had such a small and fragile community this far isolated from the rest of the world. When creatures broke through into this world, they usually did so into Alola, where the dimensional boundary was thin - the entire reason he'd settled down there to begin with. Yet now his sons and daughters, lion and bat, were spread out in the dimensions with their own stars and moons, and he was now setting his youngest son to take his place in caring for the protection of mortals while he maintained the great light which bathed Arceus' favored world. A blanket against the coming of the Darkness.
