Wolf listened to Steven's explanation, nodding at his words. Of course, he had been aware that the former champion was working with the Devon Corporation although he was unaware what he had been doing for the company. He rarely followed up on a champion after they stepped down and never really bothered checking in on what corporations were doing unless it was a major deal. Still, he suppose that there was some business opportunity in Alola. "Well, for me, I'm just on vacation," Wolf answered. "Normally, I wouldn't travel out of Sinnoh for one, but I'm making an exception to that. The new league Alola started has caught my interest given how unique it is compared to the other regions. I have no plans of competing in it of course, but still, I would not mind seeing how it operates." As Wolf finished his explanation. the two would have finally arrived at the PokéCenter. Wolf eyed it up and down, taking note of the differences between it and others he had visited, before heading on inside with Steven. |

A man interested in the newly commissioned Alolan Pokémon Leauge, now it was apparent as to how Wolf knew his name. He'd likely challenged the Leauge in Sinnoh, and likely looked to other regions to see their Leagues as well. In truth, Steven had little interest in the Alolan Leauge itself. His interest lied in the crystals given to trainers as proof of their accomplishments. The crystals that gave Pokémon the ability to perform devastating attacks unlike any seen in other regions. These Z-Crystals were definitely something Steven planned to look into during his time in Alola. Steven stepped inside the Center with Wolf before he gave a verbal response to what he'd said. "As you could probably guess, I have little interest in the league here, although I did receive a letter from its originator asking me to come and give my thoughts on its organization. I'm not sure if the acting Hoenn champ received such a letter, but I suppose given my stepping down, I'd have the time." Steven then allowed time for Wolf to make any comments before he spoke again. "It's been a pleasure Mr. Ledger, but I have a few matters to attend to. However, should we meet again during our time here in Alola, I'd like to further our conversation." Steven then made his way to the front counter, confirming a few questions with the nurse before heading to a room behind the main area of the center. He'd emerge about ten minutes later, his suitcase swapped out for a more suitable over the shoulder bag. He carried it much more loosely than he had carried his suitcase, and one could assume what he'd been worried about before, was no longer carried in the bag. His next stop was the PC for people to transfer Pokémon and select stored items. He typed a few select commands into the keypad before opening a hatch at the side before wiring the machine to his PokéNav. It would be a minor inconvenience for the time for anyone wishing to use the machine, but he wasn't going to take long to finish his task. |

"Nice to meet you too, my name is Yellow." She briefly wondered if it was alright to introduce herself, but it seemed like he already knew who Green was anyway. With that in mind, it would be difficult for her to keep her identity a secret while she was here, like Green seems to be doing. Surely he wasn't expecting her to do so. "So you're going to be looking for some more Pokémon? Do you know about the Pokémon that live here?" She had to say she was curious. If she planned on making new Pokémon friends to take this island challenge, she wanted to learn as much as she could about the local Pokémon, and she was sure a trainer planning the same would want to know as well, maybe he already knew some things she didn't. As she subconsciously walked along beside Green, she realized they had already come to the entrance of the pokecenter, and were walking on inside. She look to Green, knowing he wanted to take care of some preparations. He would be leaving to another island, a part of that made her a bit nervous. She'd gotten rather used to his company, however if she had Green supporting her through her challenge it wouldn't feel right either. It was her choice to do so after all, she wanted to do it without being carried by him or the others. |

Green was pleased Noah seemed to not keep up with news. It was rare to find people who had absolutely no knowledge of what he was known for. A blessing, perhaps. He let both of the younger trainers stay within his immediate reaction zone, so that he could more easily cover them. He did not consider Noah a threat, at least, he remembered the boy from that far-off festival, where he'd sparred with that Li-Fen. A talent he'd have to look into some time. The boy had had no time to shine before they entered the premises, so his internal database was compiling fresh information now on the Pokémon he showed and his mental and physical tells. Fortune have it, they were already in front of the Pokecenter, and Green wasted little time in entering as his friend chatted with the somewhat random newcomer. Checking to make sure Yellow had followed him inside and not gotten sidetracked, he took in the dimensions and occupants of the building, noting its combined difference from the Centers back home. Refreshing change of pace. "Yellow, why don't you go see what their cafe has to offer while I complete my transaction. Let me know anything that sounds interesting when I've finished." It wouldn't do for her to stand around waiting when there was a new Pokecenter to explore. He took his luggage and moved over to the computer, which was... still in use. He waited for a moment as the man in front of him dicked about with his PokéNav. Green's memory being what it was though... "Little faster, former Champion. Some of us with money have schedules to keep." He quirked an eyebrow visibly over his shades. Green had grown progressively monotone over the years, but he naturally could alter that as he pleased, returning to his more iconic voice so as not to startle his Hoenn contemporary. _________________________________________________________________________________ Mac finally found his way into the Pokecenter, giving it an appraising look over once he was in out of the comfortable heat of the sun. "Almost looks bit bigger on th'inside from the out, Ah'd say..." he muttered to himself. He knew what he needed to do, all the same, and after smiling to the friendly-looking folk who looked his way when the large foreigner blocked out the light, made his way over to the Pokemart counter. "Alola! Welcome to the Hau'oli International Airport Pokemart! Please browse our inventory if you need anything!" "Alola ta y'all too! Ah'm lookin' ta buy..." He looked over the inventory menu of the shop. He didn't like wasting words on, after all. "Four Potions and one Hyper Potion, five Pokeballs, and an Ultra Ball if'n ya don't mind none." He wasn't hip to all the different kinds of balls aside from the basic line, but he knew what he wanted and he wanted to make sure he got it by the end of this trip. He'd need to download Pokédex data at the PC after this... his was an older model, hadn't been used since he quit on his Journey, and he didn't waste money frivolously to pick up new Pokémon Journey gear. He had supplies, and he was about to get the tools he needed to make a catch. ________________________________________________________________________________ On the nearby beach, a plume of water skyrocketed heavenbound, like someone had set off a depth charge shallow. As people pointed, wondering what Pokémon had caused such an impressive disturbance, they missed the ridiculously proportioned man walk out of the ocean, with a very large and tired-looking bomb Pokémon held under one arm like a beach ball. The Minetrode seemed completely exhausted. Completely soaking wet, the giant of a man put his free fist on his waist, and bellowed out enthusiastically. "ALOOOOOLA YOU FUCKING WONDERFUL PEOPLE, I HAVE ARRIVED! AND THEN I BLEW UP YOUR OCEAN BECAUSE THAT IS NOT A THING THAT WAS HAPPENING ON ITS OWN AND GOD DAMN IT NEEDED TO GET DONE!" .... "YOU'RE WELCOME!" Jeans. No shirt. Gold chains. Bandana. Shades. Badass moustache. Muscles WITH muscles. It must be Mister Torgue. Goddamnit. Edited by Komm Kayriel, May 1 2017, 07:02 AM.

Jakkaru seemed nonplussed that someone had wandered over to her, though she did take a drink before replying. "He's mine, yeah, heh. Jiji's only been with me for a month, though." She made a small gesture at the Litten, kind of a scratching motion with her fingers against her thumb, and Jiji huffed and minced over, tail held erect. She raised an eyebrow at the Litten in the boy's arms. "Do you collect them specifically or something? Litten, I mean." Then, after a moment of thought, she gestured across the table. "I'm always willing to talk Pokémon." Shiloh sunk down below the lip of the table at the approach of the newcomer, burying his face against Jakkaru's stomach. Erstwhile, Jiji had leaped back on top of the table and began to wolf down food wholeheartedly. After a moment, a capsule at her waist protested, and a Charizard joined them in a flash of light. The dragon put his head on top of Jakkaru's for a moment, then redirected once he saw food. He, in fact, began to pilfer some of the human morsels rather than the Pokémon kiddle, apparently having a preference. Sighing, the Jakkaru shrugged. "I'm Jakkaru Korekuta, this is Shiloh, Jiji, and Ember." She pointed to each in turn. |

Soa paused when she came to the conclusion that he might collect them specifically, before realizing Dopple of course was still in his Litten form. "Oh, no I'm sorry. Dopple, care to properly introduce yourself?" At that instruction, Dopple opened a single eye, looking at the trainer. With a happy little purr, the Litten-look-alike stood up, slowly losing it's shape, and pooling a bit down into Soa's arms. Small beady eyes, and a wide green now faced tha trainer, and one of it's many lumpy protrusions extended out as an arm, giving a small wave. "Ditto~". "My name is Soa Harrow, a Pokémon breeder, and I'm here to collect some Pokémon suitable for breeding to bring back to my breeding grounds. I was interested in Littens, because I'm aware they are popular Pokémon for young trainers." Soa then added, going ahead and accepted the offer to sit. He lightly placed Dopple onto the table, and the Pokémon simply sat there and smiled pleasantly. Soa imagined that would be plenty of an explanation, and after seeing a few more members of this trainer's party, he was rather impressed, lightly pushing up his glasses as he looked up towards the Charizard, and made note of the Scraggy. It defintly did seem like Litten wasn't as comforatble with the trainer as these two were, but a bond must have surely been forming. |

Steven decided not to respond to the young man who'd just made his remark. The voice and tone, it wasn't very hard to place who it was. He honestly would've been surprised by Green's presence here in Alola had he not know the passengers that were on the plane he had flown on. It required little effort to sleuth through the alias he'd used, and the listing for Yellow made it all the more obvious. Steven took a quick look at the monitor screen to check on the status of the operation. After the screen went black, he unplugged his PokéNav as the machine rebooted itself. The PC system that was in use was horribly outdated, which he'd been tasked with upgrading during his time here. Perhaps it would've been better if he'd been less public as of late, but there wasn't proper time to ponder that now. "Now, Mr. Ookido, believe me when I say I know how valuable time can be." He remarked as he turned around, tapping the machine with his foot which caused the panel to slide shut. His tone was rather level showing little indication of his mood. "Besides, I'd assume someone like yourself wouldn't want to take chances by using an out of date system." He then gave a cordial smile to solidify he had zero intentions of wrongdoing. Steven then stepped aside to let Green have full access to the machine as it came back to life ready for use. "Now, I hope you don't mind me asking, but, what on Earth brings you to Alola?" |

Green waited patiently for Steven to finish his modifications. A quirky greeting was one thing, but interrupting someone's work was just plain aggravating, as he knew all too well. "If you didn't handle it, I was probably going to offer." His fingers flew over the console input, bringing up and moving on from menus with a burst of speed. On the other side from where transported pokeballs would arrange themselves, he had the system start stacking up metal cases. "I see no harm in answering that. Yellow's here to try the Alolan trials, and I've been commissioned to catch and train a number of Charjabugs so we decided to go together." He spoke without looking, opening the metal cases to make sure that each item had arrived as he'd left it. He removed a circlet and lowered it around his forehead, the item immediately disappearing - for all intents and purposes invisible. He pressed on a black half-oval which stuck to the side of his face and began projecting a thin green beam of light over his right eye. Other cases were full of what could be considered armor and weapons, swords and guns. In quite a number... Steven wasn't on the familiarity scale with Green, but the knowledgeable ex-Champion had likely heard the rumors his fans never caught wind of. "Then I plan to do some studying. The enemy of humanity and Pokémon alike has a lot of unknowns and we have fewer weapons against it than I'd like to admit." There was a slight scowl on his face as he slapped the case shut. "Maybe Alola's strange circumstances can lend something towards our defense." The world knew of Darkness, but to many, especially those who hadn't gone to battle with it, it might seem like a one-off, or a hoax, or another of any Team's harebrained schemes. Green apparently knew something more than that. "Keep your skills sharp, former Champ. I've got a hunch we're all going to need to dig deep here soon. And hey, if things turn out for the best, maybe you and I'll have a battle sometime. See what passed for Hoenn's best against Kanto's." Competitive little smirk. It lacked the bite of sheer arrogance he had as a kid, but no trainer got to the lofty heights of these two without that fire streak in their heart. Edited by Komm Kayriel, Jul 27 2017, 11:14 PM.

"Of course I'm going to be looking for more Pokémon," Noah answered, taking a brief glance towards the direction of the sea. "From what I heard, there's no better place to catch Water-type Pokémon than Alola, so here I am, first step to becoming a Water-type master!" As Noah finished answering, they finally arrived at the Pokémon Center. Stepping inside, he briefly overheard them talking about getting food to eat. At first, the young trainer decided that he would work on checking himself in first before worrying about food. However, upon seeing the cafe nearby, Squirtle immediately ran over to it, jumping up towards one of the counters. Noah shrugged and made his way over to his Pokémon. Whether anyone else joined him was up to them. Pikachu did not join her trainer, instead looking over to the trainers lining up for the PC. For some reason she did not know, she felt drawn to something over there and decided to investigate before following Noah again. After being explained how the cafe worked, Lucas got his malasadas and paid the barista, leaving behind a large tip as an apology. Setting his tray down at an empty table, he sat down and started to devour his food. Within a minute, six out of ten malasadas were consumed by the trainer, who enjoyed the taste greatly. He reminded himself mentally that he needed to spend his money wisely and not on snacks but shrugged lightly in response. As Lucas continued to eat, his head briefly take a glance towards the PC, making out two familiar men having a conversation. Although he was certain he saw them from somewhere, he could not remember any names. Stuffing down his last malasada, he made his way over to the two, chewing. Despite them having a conversation, he swallowed and spoke to them. "Excuse me, but don't I know you two from somewhere? You guys both look familiar," Lucas interrupted, speaking rather loudly. "As would I, Mr. Stone," Wolf agreed on the matter of continuing their conversation. "And truth be told, I believe that we will meet again. Until next time." Wolf made his way over to the front desk of the Pokémon Center, intending to rest for now. There would come a time when he will explore Alola, but after a long plane ride, he was in no mood to do so now. For now, it would be best to plan out where he would travel to first and make any necessary preparations. Edited by Archerlord, May 10 2017, 04:52 PM.

"Ah, it would seem that our motives for being here in Alola are rather similar then. The trials, work. I'd be surprised if this was our last run in while we're here." Steven spoke, his voice remaining cordial and professional. As their conversation continued, so too did Green's transferring process. Steven took note of each item he could see. Meticulously taking mental notes on each. He didn't want to direct the conversation towards the items though. It would be unfitting. But his curiosity had been piqued by some of the more sophisticated gear. It seemed that Ookido had truly gone as far as his Intel had said. He'd devoted his time to finding a means to combat the Darkness scourge. But, was all this weaponry and technology really necessary? Surely such a vast amount of tools were overkill right now, at least one would hope. While Steven's face continued to hold a slight friendly smile, his mind was racing and aghast with thoughts. If Ookido was taking this kind of action with seemingly no imminent motive, perhaps he should have Devon double its efforts. Perhaps a complete change of operations was in order. "Yes, this Darkness as it's come to be called, truly is something, unlike the world, has faced before. I've been trying to lead Devon to do what we can, but our research has yet to turn up anything substantial." Despite his underlying emotions and thoughts, his tone hadn't really shifted. He had always been good at saving face, even when he was in over his head. "Perhaps we should look into a bit of cooperation in the future. However, that matter can be discussed at a later date." Devon was stretched to all manner of services at the moment, to divert more resources to work against the Darkness would certainly require cooperation with an outside group. Caellux was always an option, but Ookido seemed a bit more direct in his efforts. Green's next remark really dug in deep in Steven's mind. "Keep your skills sharp, former Champ. I've got a hunch we're all going to need to dig deep here soon." Just what did Ookido know? Or was he really acting on a hunch? It was hard to say. His next words didn't help matters. They seemed to be a 180 from his previous statement. Although it seemed to go hand in hand with what he knew of the young man. He smirked slightly as he responded, it had been a while since he'd felt the thrill of a challenge in his heart, but that too would have to wait for now. "Perhaps, A friendly battle could be rather sporting. Especially as Alola is looking to instate a league all of its own. Perhaps after I've seen what Alola has to offer, we can show them what two Champions can do." This was the last thing Steven said before the young man approached and interjected himself. He gave Green a slight glance before directing his gaze to Lucas. "I suppose you may know me." Steven replied as he extended a hand to shake. His tone remained cordial, but the hint of professionalism took a slight drop. His tone also suggested no attachment to Green, a way of allowing him to keep his identity secret if he wanted to take it. "Steven Stone, a pleasure to make your acquaintance." His attention was currently diverted to the point he was unaware of the Pikachu that had decided to approach. |

Yellow hesitated after the group slowly split up. She had watched Green make his way to the PC where she spotted another man. He seemed oddly familiar in one of those "I've seen their face on tv before" kind of moments, and soon he and Green were talking... Green was actually sparking a conversation on his own. She immediately became more curious, wondering if Green had planned to meet the guy there. However not wanting to barge into Green's business, after all he did kind of dismiss her to get food, Yellow would quietly make her way towards the lineup of food a bit after Noah. Chu was right on Yellow's heels, and both her and Chu's attention was drawn to the small steps of what she believed was Noah's Pikachu off towards the other end of the pokecenter. Her gaze was then soon taken by yet another person joining in on Green and the man's conversation. Green sure knows a lot of people in a lot of places. When it came to her turn to make her choice of food she took quick intermediate glimpses towards their direction, still curious to what was going on as Green stacked up a couple of brief cases from the PC. "Well, the name does sound familiar," Lucas mused out loud. "I'm Lucas but people call me Diamond. Nice to meet you."' As they shook hands, Lucas' stomach growled loudly as the young man smiled sheepishly, somewhat embarrassed. He suppose that even after eating the malasadas, he was still hungry for more. He wondered what other delicacies Alola had tofofer and figured the only way to find out was to explore more of the island. "Well, nice talking but I'm going to grab something to eat now!" Lucas declared before rushing out of the Pokémon Center, his stomach grumbling louder. Noah sighed walking away from the counter, having paid for more malasadas than needed. Still, when Squirtle started to pile the food onto the tray, he just could not find it in himself to say no. Hopefully, the two of them and Pikachu would be enough to eat them all. It was then that the young trainer finally noticed that the Mouse Pokémon was no longer following. He started to visibly panic at one of his Pokémon being lost while Squirtle remained oblivious to the situation, doing his best to balance the food on the tray he carried. "Pikachu! Where are you?!" Noah called out loudly, his eyes scanning around the Pokémon Center. Pikachu, now by the PC, heard the call of her trainer, and cried out loudly, hoping to get his attention. Noah started to run over to where he heard the cry from with Squirtle following behind, trying his best not to drop any of his food. |

|_Green_| Extracting what looked for all the world like a high-tech arrow from one of the cases, Green inserted the missile down the side of his pants somewhat inexplicably. Given the click sound, apparently there was a holster for it there. A bracelet of some sort went on his left wrist, with obvious docking ports, clearly part of something else he didn't appear to need to assemble at the moment. While he had the PC here, he lifted his Pokédex and tapped on Porygon2's icon, drawing the attention of the digital monster. A few keystrokes later, the PC and his 'Dex started communicating as Green temporarily disabled League restrictions on his account and pokeballs. A moment later, Rhyperior and Sage's pokeballs were deposited in the clasps of the machine and ferreted away somewhere on his person. He had, during the Indigo Incident, realized that operating under League restrictions in the middle of a battlefield was honestly the stupidest thing possible. A keystone amulet went around his neck, and one keystone ring slid onto his right hand's middle finger, next to his Foundation ring on his ring finger. From what Steven could tell, Green was ready for war. If there was truth to the rumors of his Team-busting activities both as a vigilante and with INTERPOL, then Green was a one-man army at the moment. "... Tell you what, Stone. I'll run another check on you, and if I like what I see, I'll pull you into a... trust, of those of us who have intimate scientific knowledge of the thing and its spawn. We all donate some of our time and resources to furthering this cause and research, so you could be of help there. With any luck, my answer'll come before something else happens. Never hurts to be prepared, though." He concluded his business with the PC, signing out, and stepped away to allow others their needs. "In the meantime, once I'm done with the job I'll be looking into these Ultra-Beasts and whatever this Z-Crystal business is. If Alola has secrets that'll help us protect this world, I'm going to find them." His voice sure was getting a workout today. Moreso because it wasn't 'his' voice anymore, but rather the iconic vocal mask he wore, of days long past. After whatever Stone had to say in response to him, he turned to look as Lucas waddled up, ceasing his speech as the boy and Stone interacted. Now was as good a time as any to get done what he needed and get on the road. With a deft motion of his left hand, the familiar sound of a Poké Ball releasing its Pokémon was heard, and Green's Machamp materialized next to him. Immediately it hefted those metal cases, stacking them smoothly and neatly, following behind Green with the cargo. As he passed Steven, he had Golduck in its Poké Ball perform a bit of telepathy for him. <However dangerous you think it might be in your most outrageous flights of fancy? Not even a fraction. Never be complacent, we are at war. ... I was at Indigo that day.> He swept past, he moved over towards Yellow, to see if she'd completed the task of scoping out the cafe. He was now well-prepared, stocked, and ready for his tasks. Green could leave right now, but he did come with Yellow and wasn't going to immediately abandon her so soon after getting off the plane. He'd probably stick with her until it was time for her to go head out on her own. Or until he came to a good Charjabug environment, whichever happened first. |

Yellow had just paid for two small plates of small round little pastries that looked sugary even to her, and that's not counting the filling she didn't doubt was inside of them, and a couple of water bottles. She didn't quite know what Green liked to drink, though she was going to force him to have some of these malasadas no matter what. She saw Green approaching as she paid for the food, and he would most likely see her curious glimpses quickly turn back to her usual smile. "Making friends?" She would ask, handing over a plate of malasadas and one of the bottles. "The cafe doesn't have much in the way of food, I'll cook something later. You're still trying these anyway, they're apparently really popular in Alola, they're called malass... mala..." After attempting a few pronunciations, Yellow simply pointed at the sign. After finding an empty table, Chu quickly jumped onto Yellow's lap, smelling the pastries, prompting Yellow to give the little Pokémon the first taste. Chu's tail twitched for a second, and the Pikachu's face brightened. "Chuuu" "Sounds like Chu is a fan", Yellow said, petting the Pokémon's head as she finished the pastry. As she suspected, it did have a sugary filling. "So, who is that guy? I feel like I've seen him before." Yellow asked, her curiosity never quite having gone away. After all, they left to a completely different region and just happened to bump into someone Green actually talked to. Green. She could have sworn he even sparked the conversation. Green did. She was curious. Edited by HiddenRealm, Jul 30 2017, 01:23 AM.

Steven was a tad surprised that Green still had more to withdraw from the PC, the young man seemed to be ready for a one man war. What had happened to the young boy that had become champion of Kanto, when did he change so drastically? He felt sorry for whatever decided to stand in the man’s way. “I certainly appreciate your consideration Mr. Ookido.” Steven responded to Green’s statement with courtesy. However, his mind was racing as he strung ideas together, more questions forming. What was this trust? Just what was Ookido up to? How had he managed to go so off the radar. He let out a brief sigh to himself as Green finished up at the PC. There was no sense fretting over what he had no way of knowing right now. “Hmm, so our interests here really are quite similar.” Steven too planed on investigating the Ultra Beasts, as they’d been dubbed. He was also planning to look into the Z-Crystals, perhaps the task he was most excited about during his time in Alola. He glanced to the clock on the pokecenter wall. He had so much to do in the few weeks he planned to be here. Perhaps Stephanie was right, he really should look into taking a vacation some time. Steven then turned his full attention to Green one last time before turning to the young man who was approaching. “I sincerely hope you find something of use Mr. Ookido. For everyone’s sake.” Green then went about his business. Sending out his impressive Machamp to carry his cargo. As green walked past he received the psychic message. He considered making a response, but he didn’t have anything he really could say. Many things became clear, and yet more questions remained unanswered. Steven then addressed the young man, being sure to introduce himself in a proper way but leaving Green out of the conversation so he could go on his way. “Well it’s a pleasure to meet you Lucas.” Steven responded in his usual polite tone. However, before their conversation could continue, Lucas’s stomach growled and he removed himself from the conversation. Steven sighed to himself once again as the young man ran to go get food. “It’s nice to see that even in a world in danger, people can remain true to themselves.” Steven then turned his attention to the rest of the pokecenter inhabitants. His gaze tracking Green to where he joined a younger companion, he presumed it was Miss Tokiwa, perhaps he should introduce himself to her before he departed. He took note of the many trainers and locals all going about their business. Taking note of a young man who seemed to be looking for something before he yelled out about a Pikachu. The response from the Pikachu came from next to the PC. Steven turning to find the Pikachu far closer than he’d have expected. “Your Pikachu is over here.” His voice projecting enough so that the young man could hear him, but not so much that he’d be considered yelling. |
