Hau'oli City

Hau'oli City is a large commercial based city of Melemele Island. Here many resources can be found for quality of life and entertainment. Many stores sell various fashions of clothing, stores for tourists, and even a large mall stationed at the top left section of the city. Multiple food chains make shop here to sell their Alolan-famous foods to residents of Melemele Island. The city also serves as the Island's travel hub, providing a large pier and transportation to the other islands as well as other regions. At the same time, city ordinance maintains many areas that are hospitable to wild Pokémon in order to help preserve what nature and habitats they have destroyed with zoning.

Locations Around Town

Route 2
Route 2 is well known for being the training grounds for many of the island's local trainers. Route 2 connects to the Hau'oli graveyard, and further north: the Verdant Cavern. The route itself works it's way up the elevated ground, large bluffs lining the mountainside along the right side of the route. The left side of the route goes from being a wooded treeline to opening up into a large dropoff into the ocean below. At the northernmost point of the route, a pokecenter has been set up to aid the trainers who often come to the route to train. A man has also set up a berry field along the route, growing berries and looking for an ambitions youngster to show the ways of a berry master.

Verdant Cavern
Verdant Cavern is a large cavern in the side of a mountain that contains large amounts of vegetation. Shimmering sunlight can be seen beaming through the many openings in the cave's ceiling, and many small tunnels give way for Pokémon to travel through. Due to the natural elevated sections of the cave, and it's lush and wildlife abundance, it's often a prime location for Island Challenges.

Route 3
Route 3 connects to Route 2 at the northernmost point of the island. The path takes you along the very outskirts of the island, along a large dropoff at the edge of the island. Large rocky terrain break the route into small sectioned pathways, until it begins to wrap back southward towards Route 1. Route 3 maintains a high elevation, far below Kala'e Bay is visible, but inaccessible from this elevation. However, should one be observant they may find enterence to MelemeleMeadow.

Melemele Meadow
Melemele Meadow is a large enclosed flower-field with vibrant yellow flowers. This section is accessible from Route 3, via an opening in the mountainside, which opens up to the sky. It is thought that after a single flower had grown here, the enclosed space caused all of the flower's seeds to grow into this heavily concentrated area. Now, many Pokémon and people alike come here for necture from the flowers... Some of the Pokémon have even created a small opening further into the mountain that observant explorers may discover.

Seaward Cave
Seaward Cave is a cave inside of the mountain that resides at the center of Melemele Island. This cavern is not well-known to the public, and thus has been left almost completely untouched by people. This cave ends up leading to an underground stream that opens up to Kala'e Bay.

Kala'e Bay
This bay has been left mostly untouched by people, however on occasion some items drop down from Route 3 above, or end up washing ashore. Due to the difficulty of reaching this bay, many Pokémon come here for a safe habitat. A large cave opening can be seen at the base of the cliff-face, but most speculate it simply opened up from erosion as water flowed down off the mountain.
