The season is currently Spring. There winter snows have thawed and new growth springs up across the world. Periodically, chill remains in the air, but never for long does it hang about. |

Battle Tree The Battle Tree is a competitive Pokémon battling competition area, on the northern end of Poni Island. This area of the island is often barred access from rookie trainers, and if not, then it surely would be a struggle to reach this area with all the capable trainers populating the areas. It's been known that famous trainers from the world around come to the Battle Tree on occasion to participate in competition. This area in itself is very remote, with only a PokeCenter stationed here, and the staff of the Battle Tree itself. Locations Around Town Poni Guantlet The Poni Guantlet is the last stretch before a trainer can make it to the Battle Tree to the north-west. Many strong trainers line the path, and all of them seem to be eager to battle in order to train their Pokémon to be ready for the Battle Tree. The guantlet runs along the bottom of a bluff, and the shoreline, making going around the gauntlet to reach the Battle Tree very nearly impossible. There are numerous waterfalls washing down the face of the bluff, and snaking into the sea, with many small bridges to give easier travel along, however many trainers use Pokémon to swim and reach other spots along the gauntlet. Poni Coast is a hilly rocky area, with large boulders often blocking the path through. Most trainers of course by now have a Pokémon capable of destroying the boulders to pass through, otherwise a crafty person may find other ways to get passed. This area does not have much in the way of hospitable areas for Pokémon however, and as such only Diglett and Dugtrio are known to pass through, often ending up falling along with the boulders. It's possible that the digging activities of the Pokémon are what's causing the boulders to accumulate in the first place. The plains also leads to the Poli Meadows and Poni Coasts in the north and north-east respectively, and to the Poni Grove in the south. This plain has many grassy areas, and the occasional tall tree filled with nests and roosts of many tree-dwelling Pokémon. Here, there are large trees rooted along the sides of the canyon and mountains that surround the meadow. The trees grow large wreaths of beautiful purple petals, which slowly fall and flutter in the sky. Nectar can be collected from the trees, and many grassy areas along the meadow provide habitats for nectar loving Pokémon. Travelers that are capable and venturous can travel deeper into the meadows by traversing large chasms by climbing along the roots and trunks of many of the large vegitation growing along the sides of the mountains. Should one make it far enough, they can find the entrance to Resolution Cave. However, traversing the cave is difficult, loose and rocky terrain make it treacherous to travel without the aid of a Pokémon who's capable of reliably crossing over the loose rock, and uneven ground. The deepest point of the cave opens into a small chamber like cavern. Often times capable trainers will bar access to the Poni Plains, in order to keep them safe from strong wild Pokémon, and even stronger trainers that reside in the areas. Often challenging the traveler to a battle to prove if they can handle it. The area itself consists of lush grassy fields and is mostly incircled by tall trees and thick vegetation.
