- "Legends claim that Giratina supposedly lives in a world on the reverse side."
-
Giratina is a large gray draconic Pokémon with gold half rings circling the back of its neck. Its head has a gold crown-like object surrounding it with two large horns pointing sideways. A thick black stripe runs vertically along the front with red horizontal stripes. In its Altered Forme, it has two large black ghostly wings with red tips that can resemble claws. These wings can change shape as if it's a liquid or gas. Its six legs are thick and clawed.
In its Origin Forme, it takes on a serpentine look, with six black ghostly streamers on its back with red spikes at the tips. Its legs are reduced to spikes, and four additional golden spikes appear near the edge of its tail. While in Origin Forme, the three gold half-rings can grip objects. The horns on its head are now facing the back, and the black vertical stripe is broken into pieces and runs all the way down its body. It can only be in its Origin Forme when in its home, the Reverse World.
Giratina is able to travel through and control dimensions besides those of time and space. When in its Origin Forme, it is able to pass through dimensions at will, however, it will turn back to its Altered Forme due to the gravity change from the Reverse World. It does so by emitting a whirlwind from its mouth which creates a portal. It also seems to have a connection to reflective objects, such as mirrors and pools of water. Reflections embody the concept of the Reverse World. Giratina is a highly aggressive and territorial Pokémon protective of its home. Legends claim that Giratina appears in cemeteries and that it supposedly lives in a world on the reverse side. It was said to be banished for violence.

- "The first sign of a foe is when one of your own turns dark..."
-
Most people assume that Giratina can be put into a simple little box like all the rest. A renegade, a traitor, the being that turned. Giratina is... complicated. Born as the anti-thesis to what its siblings are, Giratina simply exists to be their opposite and act their opposite. While a mirage of pleasure is had at working as a scion of destruction for the Darkness, it is arguable whether or not Giratina actually understands this as a fault. In truth, the Pokémon is, for all intents and purposes, a force of nature in the way that other Legendary Pokémon have ascended being. Emotion is an alien thing to it.

- "There is something calming about looking into the void."
-
An invisible wave of nauseating evil poured from the portal. This nausea washed over the crowds and revealed its true intent as people left and right, those of weaker will, began to fall. Even the strongest would feel it, but only the strongest would resist. The crowds began to drop like flies to their knees, clutching their heads. Children, man and woman alike might fall over.
Their skin began to ripple, blisters swelling up across human flesh as fingers swelled and morphed and the soft flesh of their bodies burst like pustules. The hellspawn that had so plagued Saffron now emerged from humans themselves. The Darkness had found its route into them, that simple seed of dark that every human bore. That was all it had taken to manipulate the weaker willed. And now? Now they were no longer shamblers. Now they attacked with skill and abandon, all of their ferocity tempered by the knowledge they absorbed from their human progeny.
Screams swelled up across the Expo as those unaffected by this curse were attacked by the very humans they'd been next to moments before.
No sooner had the mayhem begun than there was a flash of blood red energy. The rift wavered for an instant, as if it had expended some of its power, but it held as a secondary rip was torn... and a creature long and centipede like in appearance, sloughed out from the second hole. Giratina, a beast to own the skies as the ground below swarmed with the beasts of the Darkness.
A laugh as old as time, as dark as night and in the pure tone of resent evil echoed through the world.
So begins the war, the slaughter, against the mortal world.
