Bella looked around, the smoke building at the top of the stations making her nervous. Smoke was not something that she wanted to have to deal with while trying to get out. The train car was still being voided of people and their Pokémon, so there was no safe way of putting out the fire yet. Bella turned back to the closed off stairwell the lead to the surface. There had to be some way to move all of these rocks with out to much strain. If anyone exhausted there Pokémon now, future threats caused by whatever happened at the surface could become more of a challenge.

Absol felt something tap his paw and pull back. He looked down and noticed a Poké Ball, its metallic outside glinting in the dim subway station light and fiery flickers. Come to think of it, this station was sort of creepy with the flickering, poor conditioned station lights and metallic smelling fire. The shadows moved strangely, in a way that made it difficult for Absol to grow connected to them. With a flinch he felt something else brush past him and he looked down at a girl. He immediately growl and slid backwards, pressed closed to Bella's side in a protective gesture. Smolder faced people looked over in a small amount of shock and excitement at the sudden show of aggression.

Bella looked over, surprised by Absol's sudden outburst. She looked forward and saw the girl picking up her Poké Ball. Then, she noticed the aron. A ground type!

"Hey! Absol, calm down. No need to be rude," Bella patted his head and stepped around him, "Hello, sorry about that, name's Bella."
"At the end of the day things will always get better. If it isn't better, then the day hasn't ended yet."

Laura Jumped in surprise at the show of aggression from Absol, before she opened her mouth with the clear intention of telling it to back off, before she was interrupted by what was apparently it's trainer. Of course she noticed this from her bottom where she'd landed, before she reached over and picked the Poké Ball up, putting it on her belt.

She stood up slowly, the world still wanting to sway a bit. Ugh, she'd need to have her head looked at later, after they got out of this mess. She looked at the redhead that talked to her and shrugged. "no big deal, he's probably just on edge from the whole crash and shit. Hey you've got a level head on you go around and make sure everyone is present and accounted for, and...hm..how to get out of here....ah, i know! Hey, aron. Go check how much metal is in the collapsed stairway over there will you?"

She looked back at Bella. "I'm Laura, Laura Hagasaki. Get everyone organized, I'll see about getting us out of here so we can figure out what the hell happened. That and..you know we're bound to be running out of air slowly but surely unless there's a vent that isn't blocked." she walked over toward aron who turned and jumped indicating there was plenty of metal in the rubble, indeed some of the concrete was reinforced with metal bars, so even that was tempting to eat. It was too bad She wouldn't just say..

"Hey Aron, go ahead and have at it, its an all you can eat buffet to the surface. Just don't make anything else fall on our heads. Myrth, You make sure nothing else collapses, and stop it if anything else does..."

Aron had to just..think about that fora second. she actually told him to eat people made metal? It was..it was almost too good to be true..she must have hit her head. (which she did but he didn't realize that.)

Was he going to complain? Heck no. He went all out like his life depended on it, and enjoyed it. Though after a few minutes, he stopped, feeling slightly weird.

The resulting light of evolution made Laura look over. "huh? Rusty what's going on? uh..rusty...?" Clearly she hadn't dealt with evolution before, not in person anyways. This was given away by the dumbfounded expression on her face as she watched the freshly evolved Lairon Gave a shout before digging into the rubble again with new gusto "...Oh. That..was...AWESOME![/color]" She gave a squeal and jumped up with a fist pump before holding her head when she hit the ground, her head jarred since her knees were locked on landing. that didn't make the knees feel any better either. "ow."

OoC:Aron eat metal to hep evolve into lairon, and that's what happened here. he was already close, he'd have to be to learn iron head after all. this just pushed him over the edge.

Bella was a little taken aback by the sudden leadership position the girl was taking. It was no real problem, someone in charge was a good thing... in some cases, but it still gave a small twinge of irritation. Turning away from the girl and looking around, her dark red hair fluttering around her neck, the soot covered follicles weighing down her neck. People. How to make sure everyone who was on the three car subway before the crash was presently on the station platform... after the crash. Hmm. Bella turned to ask the girl what she wanted her to do, but the stranger was gone with Aron to look at the ruble that blocked their exit.

Absol glared at the girl as she walked off. He hated people who just took charge like that. The white furred Pokémon turned to his master and watched as sh got one of those thoughtfully irritated looks on her face.

"Absol, can you count how many people are on the station for me please?" she smirked awkwardly.

Absol looked at her for a moment and sighed. He nodded deliberately and faded into the twitching shadows, dashing through the station and counting the passengers.

Bella turned and looked to the fire. She gulped. Fire, a terrible thing. Reaching back, she tossed a Poké Ball into the air and released her crawdaunt. The grab Pokémon stretched irritably, glaring over at his trainer. What did she want now? Was keeping him trapped inside a tight ball not enou- where were they?! The water type looked around, confused. What had happened?

Giving a tiny little half smirk and a wave, Bella gestured to the flaming subway car, "Mind giving me a hand?"

Crawdaunt waited a moment and then turned and climbed his way over, firing a water gun at the licking heat. Always asking him for help, never giving him anything in return. Deciding to take his aggression out on the flames, Crawdaunt blasted the water as hard as he could, until the car started to shift. Weak thing, metal.

Bella nodded to the crawdaunt as he scampered off and then ran over to see what that girl was up to. Upon approaching the stranger, she was stunned by a sudden light. What the? She blinked a few times and then smirked. Evolution. A beautiful thing, that. She winced a little at the reminder of the reason she was in this city, evolution have a small role to play in her friends relationship.

"How's it going over here?"

As Lairon pausefd or a moment, Laura looked back over her shoudler, hearing what sounded liek a firehose against metal, and saw a large lobster like Pokémon dealing with the firse she'd nearly been roasted by. Good riddance to bad flame. Turning back, Laura grinend as she saw lairon start using metal claw to dig further into the rubble. It hadn't been THAT useful as an aron (legs were to short), but she was glad she'd kept it right about now.

She didn't respond to Bella fora minute, jsutwatchign Lairon, before gesturing at him. "Seems to be going pretty good. Depends on how much ruble we really have to dig through to get out. Man, I hope this doens't make me late for that business meetign for my dad, this one could make quite a bit of money..." She had no clue that at the moment, that was the least of their worries. after all,she didn't know that there had been a nuke detonated in teh city, nor did she know about the creatures that soaked up the radiation liek a sponge and fed off of it. Had she known she might have just waited a while longer to worry about diggin them all out; being late to a meeting that wasn't going to happe na t this point was the least of her worries.

"I don't think i caught yourn ame after igave you mine earlier. I can't just keep calling you arandom generic name or anything you know."

The battle was nowhere near waning, and was tiring. They just kept coming.

This.... isn't good. We need help.

Latias scanned the area for other people.
.....deserted. They all seemed to have scattered.
The Timid Wanderer Wished herself and her sibling health and stamina enough to combat these.... things.

...Are you sure it's us that need help?
The brother flew high above where Silph Co. once stood, and surveyed places with high emotional intensity. Gesturing to his sister, he raced down immediately.
They were... hiding. These monsters seem to have some sort of intellect.

Sunday, October 7th - 05:10:00

The corners of Red’s mouth quirked upward as he stared down at the phone, a chuckle rising, and then immediately dying on his lips as he listened to her.

”I know, Gis. I’m not asking you to do anything. I was just calling to say ‘wish me luck’, and ‘I’ll see you when I get home.’ I’ll have my phone on me the whole time. Things are suddenly getting very interesting here.” He clipped the phone shut, leaving her with his words. He’d wanted to say more, but hesitated. Getting emotional on a personal level was something he generally avoided doing. He also didn't want to encourage her feelings too far in the event he couldn't reciprocate her feelings. Still, they'd gotten closer over the past few months, and there was a slight clench in his chest at the prospect of never seeing her again.

Was that love? He had no idea.

"Isabella, Isabella Willow. But everyone calls me Bella, for short," Bella responded.

In this town she had changed her appearance so as not to be recognized. Her hair was pitch black and sleeked down to her waist. It shown so dark it could have been mistaken for purple. Her eyes glittered a forest green and her skin tone was only slightly darker. All of this took an immense amount of concentration to morph. She was slowly gaining the abilities that her psych powers allowed for, but each one only seemed to take more and more power then the last.

That day she had decided upon a back v-neck under a green trench coat that ended at her mid-thigh. The top was meant to be form fitting. She had on grey pants and some black vans. After the fire and the crash, her green coat was on the ground somewhere, the black v-neck covered in darker blood spots and burn scars on her pants where the fabric had been seared away.

" wait... if the air is this shut off... won't... "

The moment that Larion broke through to the surface, the air became a suction in the tunnel. Bella gasped and turned, ramming her shoulder into Laura as hard as she could to move her out of the way. The fire that was still left from the car was brought straight towards the new air source. flame brushed through the air past Bella and Laura and straight for the hole.

The explosion could be see in the waste of the explosion for miles.

No... Not more destruction....
An explosion, though not as deafening as its predecessor, was still something to be fearful of.
Latias couldn't take all this fire anymore.... It signaled bad omens to her.
The blue crest on her chest started to glow, and progressed into a bright shine. She flew. Up and up. And then, sparkles of blue seemed to rush from every direction of the sky; all at once, they converged into a single mass. A steadily expanding cloud, glowing a faint light blue, began to pour rain onto Saffron City. The extent of a Legendary's Rain Dance was something to be

Not good. This couldn't get worse.... is what someone normally would have said about now. But Latios knew better. The Bold Wanderer knew exactly where he needed to be. This deluge wouldn't help anyone caught in the radius of the car's detonation. Swooping down to assist what seemed to be... two? No... four, or more.
Latios cloaked himself in his glassy down, a Magic Coat to shield him from the flames. He manually rescued two forms—the fire made it too bright to see-- and used his Psychic power to move a Lairon to safety. A crustacean Pokémon was lying near the car that set off the giant flare.... Just what went on here?

Laura heard a sound similar to a giant breathing sound, when she found her self on the ground, and totally unable to see anything, but the smell was quite smoky. She didn't know what the hell had just happened, and she was BARELY starting to even process that something was wrong when she felt herself being yanked by..something.

Lairon, having been moved by something he couldn't see, jerked his head as something impacted his side with a loud, metallic "CLANG!"

As it turned out, Myrth had been propelled by the explosion, and had just happened to slam into Rusty's side. Lucky, in the respects that it didn't get lost. Those poor people who hadn't gotten out like Laura and Bella had though....Well, they didn't need to be worried about anymore, if one wanted to make it sound less..grim.

As Laura's slowly sat up with one hand on her head to clear the ringing form the rather close call with being exploded, she looked over at Latios, not quite recognizing it as a Pokémon fora second. "Y-yeah I'm fine...I'm.not quite sure what happened. Wait a second...you're a Pokémon..how the..HOW IN ..DID..DID YOU ..JUST..TALK?!" Laura pointed at the Pokémon before scrambling with one of her pockets, all logic thrown out the window as she got her Pokédex out to figure out what this talking Pokémon was. Telepathy, or some other communication form never occured to her.

Would you prefer it if I did this?
Once again, the Bold Wanderer enshrouded himself in his glassy down; this time to change his form. He quickly shapeshifted into a young man with the looks of twenty-three years. That is what Latios was, equivalent to his species' years. But that was besides the point; now he was a silver-haired youth with grey pants and a blue coat (see profile). He sent a message to his sister to do the same when she arrived.

And arrive she did. Latias had flown down right after she was mentally contacted; she was invisible at the time, though. After getting to ground level, she adjusted her silicate feathers to humanize herself; a girl similar in appearance to her taller brother now made the crowd of three, a party of four. And oh, what a party it was. Humanoid monsters everywhere; they didn't even seem fazed by the explosion. Hang on a sec.... we're surrounded.
The Timid Wanderer outstretched both her hands, erecting solidified psychic waves as a shield to protect the group from all sides.

Meanwhile, the older sibling raised one hand sharply. As if beckoned by the Legendary, Thunder rumbled and lightning cracked throughout the cloudy sky; the sheets of giant static gathered into a ball, sent down as a bolt right on the Timid's Psyshock barrier. It spread out in several directions, hitting quite a few humanoids.
But they didn't seem to be discouraged from advancing.

Believe in you, who believes in yourself.

It had taken a time, but he had come. He felt others here, event amidst the turmoil, brethren of his own granted great powers from the One. The Twin Wanderers were here somewhere.

His body shimmered white against the gray sky, a gleam of silver on the rainy backdrop and the dreary atmosphere. For any regular bird, his wings beat far too scarcely to propel his weight forward at the tremendous speed at which he flew. But for a Lugia, such things were balanced by a sizeable amount of Psychic powers... and for this Lugia, such a thing was a trifle.

He came from the west, from the waters of Johto where the whirlpools ravaged would-be travelers. He come at the warning of his much younger brethren to the islands to the south of Kanto. And now that he was here he could understand why the youngster Lugia to the south had summoned him.

The dragon-bird opened his maw as he coasted over the city and spotted a dome of Psychic power shielding the Wanderers and two children. White light, as bright as the Sun, gathered between his teeth. The sphere of power started small, but as glints of more energy flooded two him, it grew.

His mind rushed to the Wanderers. Redouble thine shields.

No sooner had the request been issued than Lugia's Aeroblast tore forth, razing through ranks of enemies and melting the slime of the flesh off their bodies. He cast his head aside, turning the beam in an arch. It flooded over the dome of a barrier, melting and eradicating enemies as it went with blinding light. The beam faded to reveal a swath of land around the entrance that was clear of the foes.

Another blinding flash as Lugia turned his attention to another set of enemies. He cleared a path from the wreckage of the station. The bird soared in a circle and then lit to the ground in front of the Wanderers and the children.

They are not immune, it seems. Enough damage and they fall. Something tells this one that these are only the foot soldiers.

---

Her first response to a hand coming out of the mirror in front of her was to utter a scream. Not one of those shrill, ear splitting ones, mind you, but ones of those startled ones that even the most prepared of individuals cry. And, well, let's face it, who's prepared for a hand to pluck out of their mirror and grab them? Certainly not Althea.

The girl's second thought, of course, as she was grasped and pulled through to face Faust was of the scientific. I wonder on the physics of that. She glanced over her shoulder a spare second to study the area she had come from. Nothing, just air.

Then she looked to Faust proper. He was certainly tall. Althea nodded in response to his greeting.

"You certainly have a penchant for surprise visits."

She was lead away as he took her by the hand and began to move towards somewhere else. She looked around, following closely but using the time she had here to taking in whatever information she could about the area. Althea had theorized the place existing in similar form to what she was seeing. There were differences, of course, but it was close. Giratina would live here, then? Being something of a expert on Sinnoh lore, her homeland, she was not surprised. There was always some truth in legend.

The rain pouring down on the Stryker was inaudible over the steady, near-continuous thundering of the turret-mounted .50-caliber heavy machine gun, Sergeant Ros and his team having boarded the Strykers to conserve ammo and speed them on their way to a more defensible position. Ros watched from behind the vehicle's gunner at the screen by which he controlled the remote-operated turret; round after round of .50-caliber fire was being poured into the nearest of the hives they were passing. To the unamusement of the gunner, it took a twenty-second sustained burst before the thing finally exploded in a goopy mess, thick black ichor oozing down the side of the building.

"Fuck, I hope the Air Force gets here fast," the gunner grumbled. "We don't have enough ammo to sustain this kind of engagement."

"Magic, this is BCT Viper-One," the vehicle commander called over the battlenet. "We're en route to the Saffron Gym. Recommend all forces rally point there to maximize defensive fire until we can get some air support in here."

"Solid copy, BCT Viper-One," Magic responded. "All allied forces in the operating area of Saffron, if you are still mission-capable, regroup and reinforce at the Gym, defend there until reinforcements can be mobilized. I say again, all mission-capable units regroup at the Saffron City Gym."

"Jones, conserve your ammo!" the vehicle commander called back to the gunner. "We're gonna need it later!"

The radio crackled. "Viper-One, Viper-Two. We're seeing some activity outside what's left of the maglev station. Looks like four civilians, a handful of Pokémon, and one Legendary putting boot up ooze monster ass."

"Copy that, Viper-Two. Lead us there, we'll pick them up on the way to the Gym." The commander turned partially around in his seat. "You get that, Sarge!?"

Ros nodded an affirmative, then turned back to his squad. "Listen up! One of the other Strykers spotted some civvies near the train station! We're pulling them out and regrouping at the Gym! Stand ready!"

And for the two survivors, their Pokémon, and the three Legendaries fighting to guard them, relief would shortly arrive in the form of three eight-wheeled, 16-ton armored vehicles careening through the wreckage of the station and forming a defensive triangle around the survivors. The ramps on two of the three vehicles dropped open as the heavy machine gun of the first vehicle cut loose, cutting down a handful of the humanoid monsters before focusing on the nearest hive.

Out of the machine gun-equipped vehicle stomped nine soldiers all with varying arms, forming an outward-facing skirmish line and opening up on any of the humanoid creatures they saw. One soldier carrying a large, green tube half as long as he was tall cleared the vehicles, dropped to a knee, and pointed the device at the hive that the machine gun was targeting. A moment later, a rocket flared out of the single-shot launcher and soared through the sky, bursting against the hive and finishing it off.

Seeing that his men had the perimeter secured, Ros stepped forward toward the survivors, pointing them toward the medical evacuation Stryker. "Get on board and we'll take you to safety. These things have cut off our egress route from the city so we're fortifying the Gym until support gets here."

Hugs you in your sleep.

The sonic boom that echoed from the aeroblast was soon met with an equally impressive explosion of power in a different area. Had the enemy gained reinforcements? Whatever it was certainly gave of a miasma of darkness..but it was different. It wasn't that unhealthy evil feeling. This was just heavy, oppressive much like heavy gravity or pressure. It landed near the Gym that they were heading to, in fact. But the purpose of who, or what it was wouldn't be clear until a moment later when a sword pulsing with a purple and black energy slashed through one of the large hives through he smoke, and shredded it apart in an explosion that took multiple creatures with it. The armored Nobunaga sliced through the waves as they came. These things were familiar to him. They looked different, back then. But he had dealt with them before, and he would deal with them again. He said nothing to his wife, nor did he even acknowledge her. He didn't need to. She would do what she wanted to do, as she wished it. That is all he could ask for. From the air, Nobunaga's Hydreigon rained destruction downward. There was a rather joyful expression on his face. It had been a long time, and he felt quite alive again. Well, he was alive again, but that was neither here nor there.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Faust nodded at the frail girl, and made sure he supported her well. He didn't want her to get lost here, though she was fairly brilliant. He had a feeling she could figure it out. A faint outline surrounded them; a barrier. He floated through the bent space, partially to find the right doorway..and partially to let her see more of this strange world with its lost cities and terrain. This backwards place that shared a space with the physical world as they knew it. Still. He knew what he was looking for. Sabrina had changed a lot in the past years. She'd become so much more..well, womanly. He had to admit she looked pretty delicious. If she'd been that beautiful back then, he might have pursued her more seriously. He *was* still a man, after all. But he put that thought out of his mind. He had foreseen how that would end, and while it wasn't a bad fate..it wasn't for him. Or her. But that change to a woman had come with a benefit. Appearance. Confidence in one's appearance.

That was what clued him in. Even as he found it. A woman who cares even a little about her appearance will always have a mirror somewhere nearby. And sure enough, as he searched the correct 'area', he'd find a nice little residential office. And a mirror. He pushed his way out while holding the young woman, into Sabrina's office.

"Well, here we are."
Oh ZUN, bless this thy Mini-Hakkero; that with it, thou mayest spark thine enemies to tiny p blocks, in thy mercy.

Van had been heading for Faust, so when he changed positions, she changed destinations.

Which of course, meant that she landed rather neatly in Sabrina's office, if you considered panicked and gripping her head to be a neat landing. But at least she didn't end up touching anyone as she crashed sideways into a wall, falling against it with a thud.

Believe in you, who believes in yourself.

Saturday, October 6th, 11:50 p.m. JST
Lower Atmosphere, Holo-Deck Suite Floor

Much had happened.

She had blacked out mid-event in the Holo-Deck, collapsing there in the hologram and entering a coma-like state. Empathy had never been her strong suit, but with such a large influx from her homeland in such a state of an openness that the Holo-Deck caused her to be in, the event overwhelmed her. Feeling engulfed her, swarming her with thoughts of people she knew, people who had touched her life in Saffron. They were in pain, and the large amount of emotion coupled with the open-gate mental state the Holo-Deck put her made her feel all of it.

Her mind simply stopped functioning.

Sunday, October 7th, 6:55 a.m. JST
Lower Atmosphere, Holo-Deck Medical Bay

The coma lasted for the better part of the evening hours. She was rushed to the med-bay of the Holo-Deck. The staff's greatest fear was that some kind of malfunction had somehow killed the greatest Psychic this side of the century. But then, her eyes snapped open. She looked to the various medical equipments around her, the staff began to rush to her.

But she was gone.

Sunday, October 7th, 6:56 a.m. JST
Saffron Gym, Sabrina's Personal Quarters

She teleported the distance in a handful of jumps, entering the office she spent much of her time in with faint purple glow of energy. Her bracers were vibrant with a neon green glow as she activated years of stored energy within their depths. She shimmered with visible emotion, anger, sorrow, disbelief, regret. Her eyes glowed.

The woman looked to either side of her. People were here. She cast her mind over them, assessing their purpose. For the tall, dark man, she could feel was neither friend nor foe. Not in the sense of alliance with her own purpose, anyways. The frail girl beside him, she could read almost like an open book, so that was enough for her to gather information on both her and the man beside her.

Sabrina looked to the other girl. Touching her mind was... strange. It felt familiar and unfamiliar. She couldn't read true thoughts from the girl. Granted, she wasn't trying to push. It was just a simple assessment of the present party's intentions. She felt nothing ill from the girl.

In all, she was unphased by the visitors in her office.

With no immediate threat detected from those three in her personal rooms, she cast her mind outwards over the city. Her mind touched the psychic wells of power that made up Lugia, Latios and Latias. She pinpointed nets and groups of survivors and military.

Sabrina's eyes flashed as she picked up the "minds" of the spawn and hives half a mile away from her in any direction. The bracers on her wrists glowed vibrantly and violently, filling the room with blinding light. She crushed the seed of each and every damn one of them in that bubble of an area, a mile across. There was a brilliant shimmer of purple from each of them. They collapsed, hives falling limp and dead, grunts heaping together into crumpled forms.

She had by no means cleared them all, but, by Arceus and by holy creation, she would fucking end the beasts that had dare destroyed her home city.

A blinding glow appeared over the gym, not enough to cover the entire area she had just expunged of the shadow-beings, but enough to dome the Gym itself in a protective barrier. The barrier itself was connected to her mentally. She would feel anything that attempted to enter it... and anything that didn't personally get a mental okay from her would be denied entry.

Sabrina's bracers died down, the glow they normally emitted a dead faint shimmer to its previous glow.

She turned to those in her room.

"May I help you?"

---

A Few Minutes Before Sabrina Says Fuck Everything

The woman continued to study the area with as much diligence as she could manage without being able to take the time to stay here. At the same time, she began to complex out the process in which Faust traversed the Shadow world. There were two possible theories she had, the most likely being that he could some how manipulate the very energies that beings like Giratina and Darkrai could. That was quite interesting.

As they passed through a second mirror, she stepped into a room very unfamiliar to her. She looked about. She opened her mouth to speak, then Van appeared.

Then Sabrina.

And, well. The rest was history.
