Slowpoke, male. Slowpoke is Alice’s favourite Pokémon, and when she first woke up on the Orange Archipelago, he was waiting right next to her, and even had a Heal Ball to call home on her person. Like the rest of his species, he shares the my-pace, dopey personality that they are known for, and to some extent he shares this with his partner, too. It is wrong to underestimate him, though, because this exterior hides great skill and intelligence. He is prone to a bit of jealousy if Alice fusses too much over something else – although he is understanding, patient and forgiving, too. Moveset: Yawn, Tackle, Water Gun, Confusion, Signal Beam, Iron Tail, Icy Wind, Mud Slap, Nightmare, Sleep Talk

Alice is a bit short arse at four foot seven, with a pasty complex and overall petite physique. Her greatest frustration is having ‘no junk in the trunk’ so to speak, and so she tries to emphasise what’s upstairs and her legs as much as possible to make up for this minor inferiority. Her blonde hair looks bleached and full of natural highlights under the sun, and her uneven ears protrude out very slightly. She is always seen wearing strong glasses that magnify her eyes to anime-style size, and her teeth are overcrowded and a bit misplaced in her mouth.
She is seen wearing all sorts of outfits, but the teenager favours her heels when possible, and she usually has her C-Gear on her wrist at all times, usually changing the exterior shell colour to match her outfits. She likes to catch her Pokémon in Heal or Love Balls, and they can usually be spotted clipped to her bag of choice if not on a belt.

Alice’s personality is all over the shop, just like many people’s. Just as stereotypical Brits are, she is a stickler for manners and speaks – for the most part – properly, although she is prone to colloquialisms here and there and sometimes makes fun of impoliteness for the effect. She is charismatic and witty, though her dry sense of humour can sometimes take people by surprise and her overall happy demeanour annoys most people around her. She is open minded and usually laid back, and whilst the girl can hold a grudge for a very long time, in most occasions she is forgiving, so long as the person has apologised sincerely first.
Her kindness stems from the fact that she was a victim of bullying, and as such, she knows what it feels like to be on the receiving end of a lot of pain. Her sensitivity is still there, deep down, but it is now protected by a very thick skin and a slight attraction to conflict. Alice knows she is smart and will use this sharp intelligence to put those who need it in their place. Whilst not the best at following advice, among friends and others she is trusted to give it and for things to usually turn out right, and her personality is also the leadership type. As social as she can be, though, the girl also appreciates her own space and can work well solo or as a team member (as long as she’s not being left out).
All of this does not make her an angel, though, and she’ll happily admit that being an only child has made her a spoiled, selfish, attention seeking bitch and when push comes to shove, she will put herself first and do whatever it takes to get what has caught her eye. In these cases, she can be manipulative and underhanded, often playing on cute charms or guilt trips for a little help.
When under a lot of stress, Alice tends to bottle her emotions up and distract herself with other things, just like material goodies. She has an obsessive personality, so it is easy for her to focus entirely on a crush or some sort of hobby she’s interested in. Romantically, as a bisexual she cares more for the person than the gender, but the truth of it is that besides kissing games with friends, she lacks experience because of her lack of popularity growing up. She is both a cynical and a romantic, and dreams of sweet scenarios with some realism, too. As a procrastinator she goes through the world at her own pace, although a fear of failure means that when things get done, they are done well. She can be anywhere from glued to the Earth or up in the clouds, and showers those around her with a breakage of personal space bubbles and lots of affection, and whilst she loves to talk, she can shut her trap and be an interested, nosy listener, too.

Like Fantina and Lt. Surge, Alice Hope comes from a spot in the outside world – England, to be exact. But unlike them, her England did not have Pokémon to grow up alongside. She grew up in another reality, where Pokémon was merely fictional; a set of games, manga, anime, cards and general make believe.
She was born to a young couple, her mother Cathryn a member of the financial department at a private school and her father Simon an engineer. They were both university graduates, and had hit it off at a dinner party with friends before going out as a couple. As it was, a few months into it, Cathryn realised she was pregnant, and they took it as a blessing, eventually marrying each other when Alice was aged four.
She was loud and rambunctious, and quick to pick up on things, managing to walk before she could crawl. She was feminine and an avid reader, and soon enough even became a video gamer, too. When the Pokémon phenomenon reached the west, the girl was straight for it, and still had an addiction to it even when the trend had been passed over for the next thing. As her mother worked at a private school, even though they weren’t the richest lot, Alice was able to enrol there, but her overbearing personality and the fact she wasn’t super duper girly or into all of the latest things meant that she often got picked on, social status lower or not. This continued throughout her school life, and Alice reacted by closing herself off.
She stopped speaking so often, tended to break down into tears and stopped playing outside, burying herself in books and video games to keep out of the real world. At school, she hid herself in the library to do work, or in the school gym where she would work out for hours and hours. She needed counselling, but afraid that her parents would find out through the school system, she leant on the shoulders of her few close friends and battled through the pain, though in her teenage years thoughts of suicide often flooded her fragile mind.
Of course, following the graduation of sixth form in the early English summer, at aged eighteen she was a new person. The battle had been won and the girl was all the more confident for it, and looking forward to university. However, life had other plans for her. One night whilst she was alone in her house, an odd light caught her eye in her bedroom. It became brighter and brighter, until she realised that whatever it was, was literally trying to swallow her up! Alice attempted to escape, however, she fell unconscious, and the next thing she knew, she was on Ascorbia Islands in the Orange Archipelago with a new outfit, trainer equipment and a loving Slowpoke at her side.
She reacted with disbelief, of course, but soon came to realise that she was inside the real Pokémon world – if there ever was one. Stuck with the mystery of whether or not it was happening, an elaborate prank or some sort of delusion/comatose dream, Alice can only stick it out. Of course, this world is far more intriguing and in some ways wonderful than her own, and the eighteen year old can’t help but wonder whether trying to find her way home is for her, or if staying would lead to a better life…

Shadow Sight – Alice is able to see the auras of Shadow Pokémon. She sees it as a purple black mist, but because of her eyesight, she finds that looking at one for too long hurts her eyes and can make them water. It can also affect her ability to see the Pokémon itself, depending on the strength of the aura and the Pokémon within it.
Helping Hand– Alice has a natural affinity with Pokémon, and this is the reason that she was brought from her own world to the other by the God Pokémon Arceus, Dialga and Palkia. An old legend or fairy tale speaks of a blessed Chosen Child that would appear to help in times of need, and that alongside Pokémon, would bring luck and strength to adventures and endeavours. Like the move Helping Hand, she can help boost a Pokémon’s abilities and powers, and on some level can communicate with them better than other humans (though, being the hopeless girl she is, can’t really speak with them as if they’re talking the same language or anything). Being close to a Pokémon can also help boost their health/resistance to fight a status ailment.
Psychic Ability? On a more questionable note, it is said that trainers of psychic Pokémon can forge a link with their Pokémon. Whilst Alice’s Helping Hand would surely assist in this, Alice has barely known Slowpoke (even if he feels he knows her), and so no psychic ability is present from the offset. However, the potential may be there. Whether it does occur in her adventure remains to be seen.

Abigail would have apologised to him, if it weren't for the fact she couldn't tell if he was serious or not, or even behaving as if he were himself. He supposed he was far too in the zone. 'Great Maker of Milkshakes' seemed like a brilliant title, though, and she wanted to make more out of it - even if she preferred smoothies. Grinning at him as he opened the door, she hesitated, and then headed inside. It was the great piece of what-the-fuckery the American had ever stumbled upon.
Instead of walking inside of a very tight cuboid which she had half-expected the actor to have locked her in, she had walked into how the TARDIS was supposed to look: far bigger on the inside with a console that reached from floor to high ceiling. There were metal railings around the place and small staircases that led to a billion different nooks and crannies, and the main room shone like it was made from steel and gold, or as if it had its own sun inside. She wouldn't have doubted it - the Time Lord had a swimming pool in his library.
"What?! Eh?! What?!" The girl immediately behaved like any companion should do, and she walked out to see if she was being tricked, then right back in. "You're kidding me! You're kidding me." She finalised, deciding to inspect her new setting for exactly where the tricks lay, "I've already seen this done before. Warn me before I walk into mirrors, I don't like bruising my face - it means I have to wear a phenomenal amount of make-up."
