Do you have a character whose not important enough to have a full profile, but still needs some information listed about them on site somewhere? This character might be a Trainer for your Gym (if you're a Gym Leader) or someone important to your character's history (like a sibling).
In any case, the option is available to you to post these "mini-profiles" to help organize your characters and the board as a whole. On the general, the rules for
Original Trainers generally apply to NPCs and minor characters.
These profiles aren't required. You're more than welcome to list minor characters on your actual RP character's profile.

---NPC vs. Minor CharacterCharacter Relations - - - - - - - - - -
The main requirement for minor characters or NPCs is that they are some how related to another character. Be that they work for them or are a family member or work for the same company or live in the same area, they have to have some sort of tie to a preexisting character. If they are their own entity, then they need a full blown profile. This is to avoid people making new characters and giving them minor profiles, as the point of minor profiles is to supplement the profile of an already registered character.

You are required to list, at the very least, the character's basic stats, their team and a four paragraph write up about them. Other than that, anything you add to the mini-profile is icing. You can find more information on the
Template itself. You register minor characters the same way as regular ones.

You are more than welcome to also list a minor character as adoptable by also posting it in the
Adoptable Profiles forum after it has been approved.
NPC vs. Minor Character - - - - - - - - - -
NPCs are typically staff bot or member profiles which have been posted to give some insight into the characters that reside in the PokéFiends canon. You're welcome to make a NPC profile if you've created some kind of organization or guild or something similar, though. They are, however, understood to be able to be played by anyone affiliated with that team or group.
For example, if someone were to make an NPC profile for a Team Rocket executive, anyone in Team Rocket, within reason, would be able to control the actions of that character if the need or thread called for it. Whereas, a minor character would be more likely to be the sibling of one of your main characters that you wanted to elaborate on because you've have them pop up in your recent threads.
