Everyone seemed to know where they were going. They moved mechanically down the ramp and onto the dock, as unified as a herd of Blitzle. Rather than stripes, however, each member of the pack wore different clothing to distinguish between individuals. They traveled slowly, indifferently, knowing that they had no fear of being hunted. This was the human world, and everything was civilized. Predation was a thing of the past. The world and its cities had become systematic. Everything flowed smoothly thanks to years of rehearsal. The people shuffled off of the boat that brought them to the city. Each followed the one in front onto the pier. There were attendants to keep the herd together, but their guidance was not needed. The S. S. Aqua's travelers had all been through the process before. In not-quite-perfect rows of four they marched towards the heart of the city. Just after passing through the gate, the unified line of people split like sand at the mouth of a river. The flock went every which way except for directly forward. A small delta stood in their way. No one said a word to the young girl that spun in slow circles where the others were trying to walk. They just shoved past her as if she were more of an obstacle than another human being. Lily had not the courage to stop one of the passersby to ask for directions. She was hardly even sure where it was that she wanted to go. The girl just watched her fellow passengers depart from the busy pier. She was breathing increasingly quickly, taking in more of the salty sea air. Lily had lived by the ocean before, so it was a welcome scent. She closed her eyes to better savor the faint taste of fish and brine. Her heart slowed just a tad, a sign that blocking out the rest of the world made her a little more comfortable. She thought of the time she spent on Cinnabar Island as a child. Immediately she saw the images of her two best friends in her mind's eye. Their young faces smiled at her, though some of their features were dulled and blurred. It had been years since she had seen them. Would she still recognize them? Would they remember her? There was only one way to find out. Lily was going to have to return to Cinnabar and find her old friends. She knew from school that Johto connected to Kanto somewhere to the west. It might take days, maybe even weeks, to walk there, but it gave her adventure some direction. The young girl opened her eyes again; some of the people around her regarded her as if she were not quite right in the head. Still no one offered a hello, but at least the crowd was starting to die down. People no longer walked deliberately around her. There was enough room for them to stride past her at a distance. Traveling alone on that cramped ship was one of the worst experiences in Lily's life so far. If she spent any more time traveling by boat, she might develop claustrophobia. The girl was definitely going to walk to Cinnabar Island. All she needed to do was find someone who knew the way or a place to buy a map. |

Molly ran out of the clothing store, her Teddiursa running beside her. She had just bought a brand new sun dress and couldn't wait to put it on, so she did! It beautiful thread like material falling over her body quite beautifully. It was on mid-thigh length, and her mother had always told her not to wear some something that made you look like a slut, so she had places black skinny jeans under it. To make her no look completely stupid, she'd cut off the straps and cut the sundress so it only went a little past her waist. She look at her new creation, putting it all together with some white converse with a flaffy emitting a electric bolt all the way up to her knee and a pichu hair clip to hold her long bangs back. Her blonde hair was down to her waist now, so, she had placed it in a midway pony tail with a Poké Ball tipped hairband and had places a bead thread it in that ran down her blonde pony tail with black beads. She loved clothing design and she loved to cloth her Pokémon as well, but none of her Pokémon besides pichu would even allow a hat near them, so she had to do with what she got. In haste to go see the giant boat take off into the ocean, she had accidentally tun into a girl who was probably the same age as her. Molly wasn't the greatest with coordination, so had fallen right backwards on her butt. Sadly, teddiursa had made an attempt to keep her standing he was now placed under her legs. "Oops!" She yelped, helped teddiursa up and then apologizing to the girl repeatedly as she corrected herself, "I'm so sorry, so sorry!" |

The victim was looking the other way; she did not see the attack coming. Suddenly her breath was knocked from her, and her leg lurched forward to catch her. Something had pushed into her with great force. Perhaps it was an angry passenger that had gotten fed up with her blocking the way. It was very difficult for Lily to get angry, but she turned around with the most intimidating expression that she could muster. She had no bite to go with her bark, of course, so Lily had nothing to say in retaliation. What had nearly knocked her down, however, was not what she expected. Rather than a frustrated adult looming above her, she discovered a well-dressed girl and her nearly pancaked Pokémon. It was enough of a surprise to completely ruin Lily's plan of action. Her furrowed eyebrows and pursed lips relaxed into an expression of absolute puzzlement. Who was this person? Why did she not notice where Lily was standing? At the very least, the other girl apologized. Lily did not smile back at her, but the fire had disappeared from her pale blue eyes. They were wide, bewildered, like those of a Stantler in headlights. Before she realized what she was doing, a response blurted from her lips. Whenever she was around people that she did not know, her nerves got the best of her and autopilot took over. [b}"It's fine. Don't worry."[/b} Lily spoke softly, using only the minimum amount of decibels to get her message to the recipient's ears. Then she commenced to stare at the other girl. She watched her stand up and dust herself off. Her clothes were very interesting, very flashy compared to Lily's simple jeans and aqua T-shirt. There was probably a good story behind them, but Lily did not want to pry. She supposed that she ought to introduce herself. That was the polite thing to do, right? "Um...Hi. I'm Lily. I uh...Today is my first day in Johto." |

He had been told several times that it would be good for him to get out of the mansion. And he very distinctly remembered saying that he was perfectly content hiding in his room, keeping out of everyone's way. Yet, somehow, he found himself wandering around Olivine City. Roz, as he insisted on being called, kept to the sides of the streets: trying to avoid interaction as much as possible. He carried his small Vulpix in his arms, and little Hope was very happy to get to look around the city. A collision caught her eye, and Roz's as well. The man stopped in his tracks to watch, curious as to how the two people would interact. Hope watched eagerly: six tails swishing in anticipation. "Vul," she dragged the cry out, whining and telling Roz that she wanted to meet the girls. Roz replied by placing a hand on her head and scratching behind her ears. "Let's watch from here, okay?" The little fire fox yipped in response. Maybe getting out of the house wasn't such a bad thing: he could learn what normal humans were like, and maybe remember a few things about his past. |

Molly just smiled at the girl, "I'm Molly! I was born here so i'm not new, but i've just recently started my journey so i'm new to this area of Johto, but i once came here with my father to meet a research partner. It was a really boring meeting and i ran off to go look at cloths at my mothers clothing store! I got in trouble, because i tried on some of the cloths and they got messed up, but I- OUCH!" Teddiursa caught Molly in the side, saving her from rambling on anymore than she already was. When Molly met new people she got the indication that they wanted to know everything about her. Molly rubbed her thigh and then looked up at Lily and then at the now drifting away boat, "So what region are you from anyway?" ((OCC: Sorry, took so long, i had no internet on vacation week x.x)) Edited by Lex, Oct 8 2013, 02:12 PM.
