Name: Jace Alan Timbre Nickname: Jay or Jacey Age: 17 Gender: Male Trainer Orientation: Lawful Good Birthplace: Ecruteak City Family: He's an only child of his mother, a housewife, and his father, a carpenter. He worked with his father as his apprentice until he decided to set off on his own as a trainer. Starter Pokémon: Viola the vulpix. Pokémon On Hand: Shorthand, he's got a dragonair, level 35, named Shiva; a fearow, level 40, named Rowan; a vulpix, level 50, named Viola, a male kirlia, level 38, named Gabriel, a luxray, level 42, named Taro, and a haunter, level 36, named Rast. For more information on these Pokémon, check out the end of this post. Appearance: I'll put it into paragraph form, as well :P Jace is of average height, not too tall, but tall enough. He's got a sort of lanky build, with long limbs and big, graceful hands, but he's muscular as well—he looks sort of like a professional swimmer. He has shaggy black hair and gray-green eyes, and he lets his hair fall into his eyes on purpose for that fashionably sexy sort of look. He takes pride in his appearance due to his love of fashion, so his hair is always styled. Jace has several different outfits he wears, but his main one is a pair of dark jeans, a crisp, collared, button-down Oxford shirt, and a pair of semi-dress shoes. As a trainer, he wears cargo shorts and polos with hiking boots, along with a nice watch and a pair of fancy sunglasses. Height: 5’11”, and growing fast. Weight: 180 lbs. He’s sort of wiry and thin. In a sexy way ;D Eyes: Gray-green Skin: Pale naturally, but he spends time in the sun and he’s got a bit of a tan. Hair: Black and shaggy. It’s constantly falling into his eyes. It’s sort of shorter in the back than in the front—a result of his own technique in cutting his own hair. He uses hair product to style it every day , making it look like that ‘messy on purpose’ sort of hair. Other: He is goooood-lookin’. He’s not super-built, but years of being a carpenter’s assistant have given him strong arms and shoulders. Clothing: Anything classy and stylish. Normally, he’ll wear button-downs, dark jeans, and non-sneaker nice shoes on any given day, but while adventuring, he wears blue and green polo shirts with cargo shorts and hiking boots. When cold, he’ll wear a nice jacket. While working as a capenter’s assistant, he wears boots, old jeans, and a tee shirt along with a carpenter’s belt and a ball cap. Accessories: He never goes anywhere without a nice watch. Style means a lot to Jace because he’s always been interested in fashion—and in girls, XD Picture (Optional): None as of yet D: Personality: Jace is a very classy young man. Raised by his mother to hold doors for women and to be polite, he is a very likeable and well-mannered teenager. He was also raised by his father, the carpenter, to work hard for what he wants. Though his dad doesn’t really like that Jace wants to pursue something in fashion, he supports his son in whatever he wishes to do. Jace doesn’t have a lot that is bad about him. He’s one of those milk-drinking, classy people that are amiable and all-around nice, which is rare in a boy his age. When he battles, he also has good sportsmanship. BAD things about Jace—he’s naďve. He thinks that the world is kind and gentle and that he can do anything if he sets his mind to it, even though there is much in the world that is definitely NOT that way. He’s also sometimes a little TOO sensitive and nice—previous girlfriends have told him that he needs to be more ‘manly’, and the other boys his age have often accused him of being ‘gay’. He’s not a weakling, though—he’s physically tough, even if his demeanor and habits make him seem otherwise. Personal History: Born and raised in Ecruteak City. He wanted to be a trainer ever since he could talk and ever since he’d seen trainers on television and on the radio. He still dreams of becoming strong enough to capture one of the legendary dog Pokémon he’s been to the Burned Tower so many times to see. Though they aren’t always there, he frequents the Tower to look at them and admire them. As a kid, his parents raised him very well. He learned proper right from wrong and he treats girls as a traditional gentleman would. He waited to become a trainer because he didn’t want to go and choose a specific Pokémon for himself. He believed that a true trainer should let his first Pokémon come to him and choose the trainer, not the other way around. That’s when he met Viola the vulpix, his first Pokémon. She was only a little pup, her tail still single and white, when he discovered her in his newspapers behind his house. She instantly climbed into his arms and started to lick his face—it was love at first sight. When she proceeded to snuffle his collar and try to climb down his shirt, he knew that she would be a handful. She was a level 2 then. Since then, it’s been two years. He hasn’t ventured very far outside his own town yet, but he is planning on traveling to other places with his three Pokémon and to catch more of them. He sometimes spars with Morty, the Gym Leader there, but Morty only uses his gastly against him in these battles. This is how he’s leveled up Viola, Rast, and Rowan so far. Now that he has a team of six, his confidence has increased by a ton. He looks to catch more Pokémon, but keep his original six levelled. Jace gets more competitive as he goes along, seeking to get more experience for his Pokémon. RP Sample: Jace stuffed his hands in the pockets of his black slacks, scuffing a designer shoe against the pavement. He hovered around the front of the research facility, noting the huge crowd around Professor Oak and sighing. How could he ever speak to the man if everyone else in the city wanted to? Here he'd thought that Pallet Town would be quiet and unassuming, a place where it would be easy to get a chance to speak with the Pokémon Professor. All he'd wanted was a shove in the right direction, a place to start learning to be a good Trainer and maybe persuade the professor into giving him a Pokédex... an adventure with his three friends, the Pokémon he carried with him. A little vulpix sat at his feet, looking up with worried amber eyes. - Jacey, you okay? - She asked softly with her telekinetic ability. Jace fingered the two other Poke balls at his waist, tan hands contrasting sharply with the white of the ball. "Yeah, Viola, I'll be fine," Jace sighed, and ran a hand through his messy black locks. After a moment, he leaned down to scoop the little fox up, petting her ears. Viola closed her eyes in ecstasy, growling affectionately. She curled her six tails up under her back feet, the bows on them getting tangled and the shell bell jingling merrily. Pokémon: Viola Nickname (Pokémon), Gender: Viola (vulpix), female Type: Fire Ability: Flash fire Techniques (Attacks): Flamethrower, Toxic, Captivate, Grudge Special Features: Jace, who secretly loves grooming his Pokémon, loves to tie little blue bows on each of Viola’s tails. Viola loves this attention and wears them proudly. Her eyes are also a striking honey color. Accessories: One of the bows on her tails holds a shell bell. Nature/Personality: Quirky. Viola marches to her own drummer and will often do things that surprises Jace. She acts more like a cat than a fox, and loves to curl up next to her owner at night. She plays a lot by herself because other Pokémon often don’t know what to make of her. She chases her own tail frequently and likes to ‘paint’—Jace left out finger paints after playing with his little sister at one point, and Viola dipped her paws into it and made her own picture. Viola follows what Jace says in battle—most of the time. Sometimes she’ll come up with her own very clever and very strange ways of fighting other Pokémon in battles. Viola also has the ability to communicate telepathically. She’s very, very intelligent—almost human, in fact—and she’ll often give Jace a running commentary of what she’s thinking and feeling. She’ll translate other Pokémon’s thoughts and needs, as well. Her words usually aren’t complete sentences, but as she grows older and listens to her master, she learns more words and more intricate thought processes. History: Viola was a little cub who got separated from her parents when Jace found her. She’d been rummaging in the trash cans behind his house and he found her curled up in the newspapers the next morning. It was love at first sight, and the two bonded instantly. She’s now about two years old. Jace has used her as his first Pokémon to get him started in becoming a trainer, and he has used her to catch his other Pokémon so far. Pokédex-Estimated Level: 50 ----- Shiva Nickname (Pokémon), Gender: Shiva (dragonair), female Type: Dragon Ability: Shed Skin Techniques (Attacks): Draco Meteor, Aqua Tail, Thunder Wave, Agility Special Features: None Accessories: Mystic Water Nature/Personality: Mild. Shiva is not argumentative and does not contradict her trainer; however, being a Dragon type, she has watched Jace with his Pokémon and completely trusts him after travelling with him for so long. This is how Jace was able to teach her Draco Meteor. The dragonair is kind and mothering to the other Pokémon, even if she is younger than they. She respects rules and expects the others to do so, too—she doesn't quite see how Viola and Rowan can be so contrary at times and is always gently reminding them of Jace's status as a trainer. History: Caught as a dratini in the Safari Zone. Shiva didn't trust Jace then and was very difficult to train—not that she was violent, but she often declined to learn. Pokédex Estimated Level: 35 ------------ Rowan Nickname (Pokémon), Gender: Rowan (Fearow) Male Type: Normal/Flying Ability: Keen eye Techniques (Attacks): Mirror Move, Pluck, Agility, False Swipe Special Features: None Accessories: Sharp Beak Nature/Personality: Rash. Rowan is very, very stubborn. He will do what he wants, when he wants, whenever he wants. At first, Jace thought that it was because the spearow was a new Pokémon who needed to get used to his trainer, but after a while, he found that the bird was just naturally ornery. Though Rowan finds that it makes sense to follow orders in batlle, the fearow prefers to live life the way he sees fit. History: Caught as a spearow when all Jace had was his vulpix, Viola. He was caught around Jace's hometown, Ecruteak City. Pokédex Estimated Level: 40 ---------------- Taro Nickname (Pokémon), Gender: Taro (luxray) male Type: Electric Ability: Intimidate Techniques (Attacks): Swagger, Crunch, Thunder Fang, Thunder Wave Special Features: He's rather large for a luxray—Taro likes to train and has become quite muscular. Accessories: None Nature/Personality: Brave. Taro is the strong, silent type—but not because he's stupid. This cat is a dangerous contender, because he is quick on his feet and has honed his body and abilities to be as perfect as possible. Taro won't barge in head-first, per se, but he will think things through and won't hesitate to attack Pokémon even ten times larger than himself. History: Caught as a shinx soon after catching Rast. Found near the National Park. -------------- Gabriel Nickname (Pokémon), Gender: Gabriel (kirlia) male Type: psychic Ability: Synchronize Techniques (Attacks): Psychic, Double Team, Magical Leaf, Calm Mind Special Features: None Accessories: Is holding a Sitrus berry. Nature/Personality: Rash. Gabriel already expresses the natural need of a gallade to protect others. He is quick to throw himself before his fellow Pokémon or even to protect Jace. Jace must keep Gabriel in check so as not to allow the kirlia to come to harm, but the Pokémon finds ways to get himself into trouble anyway. In battle, Gabriel follows Jace's every command and is one of the most loyal Pokémon you'd ever meet. History: Caught as a ralts in the Safari Zone. Pokédex Estimated Level: 38 ---------------------- Rast Nickname (Pokémon), Gender: Rast (haunter) male Type: Ghost/Poison Ability: Levitate Techniques (Attacks): Hypnosis, Shadow Ball, Payback, Sludge Bomb Special Features: Rast's eyes are red instead of normal black. Accessories: Black Sludge Nature/Personality: Gentle. Rast is the example of a scary creature who is very much misunderstood. He wouldn’t hurt anything at all unless in danger or if in a genuine Pokémon battle. He is aware that his body and mist around him are dangerous to others, and sometimes this depresses him, but he gets along fine. The Pokémon and people who get to know him are usually good friends with him. He lived in the wild, knowing that he had to hunt, but he hated it. He would always put his prey to sleep before it knew he was there, and he would kill it with poison while it slept. He’s glad now that he doesn’t have to kill things anymore because Jace brings food to him, pre-dead and usually processed. Rast has the ability of human speech. Like Viola, he only knows words from what he’s heard and from the other gastly in the Bell Tower, and his thoughts are simplified a bit. Jace is teaching him more vocabulary and encourages him to speak up whenever possible. Rast and Viola sometimes ‘talk’ so much (Viola through telepathy) that Jace has to get away from the chatter, but secretly, Jace loves that he can understand them and sees them as very close family. History: Caught in the Bell Tower as a gastly. For sneaking in, Jace was punished with keeping the gastly, seeing as the ghosts are normally mischeivous and tough to handle, but the punishment turned out to be useless due to Rast's individual personality. Pokédex Estimated Level: 36 |
