- "I’ve swept the very bravest off their feet!"

Cadere [Female Meowth] — The very day you crossed my path, I knew you and I were meant to be.Cadere was hatched from an egg that Sidney received from his parents. The thing that fascinated Sidney the most wasn’t that she could use Hypnosis: it was that her coloring was much different than that of the average Meowth. Her fur is mostly black with white accents. Cadere has been with Sidney from the start. She may not be as strong as his other Pokémon, but what she lacks in strength she makes up for in heart. She’s a very friendly Pokémon, cuddling up to anything that might possibly give her some petting or a treat. Though she may be friendly to a fault, Cadere relishes in playing pranks with her trainer, and is very rarely in her PokéBall as a result. She can generally be seen perched on Sidney’s right shoulder. – Hatched at Fuchsia City Ruin [Male Rapidash] — It will be I whom will be the last one standing in the aftermath of chaos. This black stallion was one of Sidney’s first Pokémon. Ruin always had a chaotic streak, even as a Ponyta. In battle, he never stops moving once he’s started. Everything is a competition to be won. – Hatched at Four Island Ginseng [Male Marowak] — The power to move forward, and the energy that propels it.During Sidney’s younger years, Ginseng was his top battler. This Marowak doesn’t know the meaning of mercy, and won’t stop attacking until ordered to do so. He is very loyal to Sidney, and obeys the man’s every command. Ginseng is more of the silent type than anything else. – Hatched at Lavender Town Noctis [Male Noctowl] — When the rest of the world sleeps and dreams, I shall be awake and watching. When Sidney branched out to explore Johto, Noctis was the first to be hatched and the only one to be kept. This Noctowl is quiet like Ginseng, and is constantly analyzing anything that moves. In this way, he is considered curious. Noctis enjoys a good battle every now and then, but prefers spending quality time with Sidney. – Hatched at Violet City Reaper [Male Absol] — Until the end of days, I will follow.Reaper is the result of a reservation project. Unlike the rest of the Absol that Sidney helped breed, Reaper wouldn’t take to the others and didn’t respond well to being released back into the wild. Sidney opted to keep him and raise him, and was thanked by a hard-working battler. Reaper is very affectionate towards Sidney and Sidney alone. He shuns everyone else, only working with others when told to. – Hatched in Fortree City Banshee [Female Froslass] — The sweet lament she screams for me – such a harmonious melody.Sidney had decided to breed Glalie while vacationing in Mossdeep, and Banshee is the result of that. She’s not so much quiet as she is shy. When she feels comfortable, or thinks she’s alone, Banshee will sing softly to pass the time. She opens up brilliantly when it’s time for a battle: becoming a wailing force of power. – Hatched at Mossdeep City

- "Wouldn’t you like to see something strange?"

Sometimes, one look just isn’t enough. Sidney’s hair goes down to his mid-back, and is naturally black in color. He wears it just so that his left eye is covered by the red-dyed part. His eyes are green in color; he stands at a decent 5’9.5”; and his skin is pale in complexion.
Normally, Sidney wears a crimson-and-black ensemble that resembles a suit. He even goes so far as to wear ruffle-laden shirts. The man usually has a crazed grin on his face when participating in something he enjoys. Otherwise, his expression shows that he’s just not impressed with what’s going on around him. He keeps his PokéBalls fastened to a belt that loops around his waist.
And yes, he has been mistaken for a vampire by the over-zealous teenage girl.

- "I’m a master of fright and a demon of light."
-
Sidney’s personality is a little split, but not enough so that he carries the mentality of two separate beings. The man is quite brilliant, and even has a journal full of scientific formulas. He’s highly intrigued by Pokémon, though he sees most of them as specimens and forgets that they’re living creatures with thoughts and feelings.
On another note, Sidney’s also fascinated by the darker side of things. Playing tricks on trainers and attempting to frighten them with his logic and behavior is almost as natural to him as breathing. There is such a thing as going too far, though; Sidney doesn’t wish to cause harm to anyone, just give them a good chill or jolt.
Even though he views most Pokémon as specimens, he does acknowledge that people form very close bonds with them, as if they were human. He considers the bond he shares with his Pokémon sacred, as if they were on equal measure with his younger brother. For some reason, he refuses to speak with contractions, despite how awkward he may sound.

- "Life’s not fun without a good scare!"

Sidney and his brother were born in Fuchsia City, Kanto. They spent the earliest years of their lives there, and even studied similar things. Their family ended up moving to the Sevii Archipelago when the boys were nine and eight respectively.
While Dmitri spent his time reading and studying battle strategy, Sidney took a fancy to Pokémon breeding. In fact, every Pokémon that Sidney owns (so far) has been bred. The Pokémon Sidney bred to get his current Pokémon are all either with his brother or parents. Aside from their Pokémon, though, the brothers didn’t have much in the way of friends while growing up. They eventually set out on their own, both going their separate ways, to explore the world and learn what it had to teach them.
As Sidney grew older, his mind began to slowly warp and twist. The things he used to enjoy became memories as he adapted a new extension to his personality. Unlike the intellectual that Sidney was, he became rather cynical. Playing tricks and causing terror became an obsession, and using his Pokémon to help him occurred naturally. He’s done a fairly decent job at keeping his tricks at bay, so not to cause physical harm to anyone.
During his earlier days of exploration, he toured the Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn regions. Each town of each region was very unique, he noted. The Gyms and concept of battle fascinated him, but never enough to actually get him to participate beyond a friendly practice match with whoever asked for one. Unlike his brother, Sidney didn’t excel so far as to make a name for himself.
He shied away from battling the day that an attack from his opponent went way off target. Instead of striking Sidney’s Pokémon, the attack struck the man. As a result, Sidney’s left eye suffered permanent damage. The only use the thing serves now is telling light from dark, though it’s unable to discern direction or anything else.
Of all of the places Sidney has been, though, Johto seems to be his favorite. He still travels around, but he’s limited himself to only that specific region. After all, he’s never been able to fully explore it, yet. The temptation to join the ranks of Team Rocket has been hard fought, and so he’s settled on just observing them from a distance. Recently, Sidney has shown interest in the Pokémon League, and by extension the Gyms that are scattered across the region. It might just be time to start back up his battling career.

- "Everyone’s waiting for the next surprise."
