Name: Yoshino, Remi
Nickname: N/A
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Trainer Orientation: Good
Birthplace: Fallarbor Town in the Hoenn Region.
Family: The only daughter to Howard and Subaru Yoshino, her household also supports Remi’s grandparents, Uncle Tessa, and cousin Miyabi. They all live in a two story house on the outskirts of Fallabor Town, only needing to take a five minute detour off Route 112 to reach their small ranch.

Starter Pokémon:

Posted Image
Name: Duskull
Gender: Male
Nickname: Zealot
Ball: Posted Image
Personality: Quirky, Mischievous
History: There would be no other that the spunky Yoshino would accept for her first. No one, even Remi herself, can seem to explain what it is that makes her so fascinated by the silly looking Ghost type. So fascinated in fact, she disregarded the stories of how children who stayed out at night were ‘spirited away’ by the likes of Duskulls. ‘Cute’ and ‘Cuddly’ were perhaps the first few words that flung right out of her lips after seeing one whimsically floating near the Yoshino household. Having her Duskull-cap on and a twinkling in those silverfish eyes, many nights were spent with Remi playfully chasing after her newfound friend. This continued even after she became of legal age to register for Pokémon Trainer status. Having known the Duskull through her childhood, they marched on in and became partners ever since.

Pokémon On Hand:

Posted Image
Name: Eevee
Gender: Female
Nickname: Artemesia
Ball: Posted Image
Personality: Naiive, Often scatters things
History: Artemesia was actually a little pet of the Yoshino house. Found wandering around on a family trip to Vermillion City in the Kanto region, the little Eevee became a tag-along after crossing paths while on a hike. Hungry and naturally curious, Remi adored at how playful the creature was. It didn’t have a care in the world, outside of snatching a few berries and tossing them whichever way. By the time the Yoshinos were preparing to head back to Fallarbor, the Eevee had caught up before departure. Seeing how the desire to come back with Remi clearly spoke through its charcoal eyes, the young Yoshino begged her parents for approval. There wasn’t much of a debate held, and Artemesia was now a member of the Yoshino’s under the condition Remi would keep it from tossing household items about.

Artemesia was also a friendly tag-along during Remi’s nightly playtime with the Duskull. Even taking part of games like, “Capture the Cap” or “Tag the Remi!” Come time for Remi’s departure into the world, Artemesia quickly followed after and into a Poké Ball without a second thought.

Posted Image
Name: Staryu
Nickname: Hokuten
Ball: Posted Image
Personality: Timid, Likes to Flee
History: The third Pokémon obtained in her travels, shortly after leaving Fallarbor. Remi felt like she wanted to take on Flannery as the first in the gym challenge, but knew having a type advantage may be a nice addition when coming in. She sat at the rims of a river, pondering on what Water Pokémon to try and acquire and how to even get one in the first place. A strange sight snapped her out of thinking. Taking a gander, she saw a Staryu spinning around along the surface of the river, against the slightly turbulent current no less. Seeing such a fighting spirit inspired Remi to try and capture the creature. That sudden action startled the Staryu and made it promptly dive back into the water. Remi gave pursuit and was grateful the waterbed wasn’t that deep.

Calling out Zealot and Artemesia, they began tracking the Pokémon until coming across it again near the entrance to a pond. The Staryu had been snagged out of the water by passing Spearows and now was cornered. Her instincts completely override any other thoughts and Remi jumped into the fray to save it. Zealot and Artemesia would scare away the Spearows while the young girl covered Staryu from any more harm. By sundown, the matter was settled and everybody plopped down in satisfaction for the victory. Remi offered the Staryu to come along for the journey, which surprisingly…it did not deny. Perhaps it was due to Remi’s heroics, or maybe the warmth of her personality. Either way, Staryu was officially the third member to Remi’s team.

Appearance:
Smiles are never in short supply for this charming Pokémon trainer. Her naturally slim and physically fit body take after the female Yoshino matriarch, not being overly endowed in any particular area during this transitional stage in life. Remi has been the gem of some envy amongst her friends for the creamy pale skin, being just the right shade to avoid being burned often by the outdoors. A well-kept indigo sheen glimmers from her hat-formed bangs, as they fan out when reaching about shoulder length. To finish her features, a pair of silver-lavender eyes compliment the girl’s interest in Ghost-types.

Taking a single glance at Remi would give the image of a teen with an attitude. Most prominent article of clothing on her is the Duskull-cap, a hand-sewn product that has underwent countless patchworks in order to accommodate the effects of puberty. As a unique quirk, the skullcap has a connected, glowing red eye that floats between the two eye sockets. Remi decided to craft her trademark headwear to as close of a replica to her favorite Pokémon.

Despite adoring a normally gloomy Pokémon, Remi’s body wear is very peppy. She’s seen wearing an athletics jacket that is mostly a baby blue with violet-blue trimmings. Underneath is a white blouse that covers a red sports bra. On paper it would sound somewhat cumbersome, though Remi finds no issues with the layers of clothing. She chooses a dual colored mini-skirt that matches the color scheme of her jacket—though a person looking to be pleased underneath will be sorely disappointed to see a pair of black/white biker shorts. Finishing up the fashion statement would be a knee-length, white socks with blue pokeballs at the top stitching, complete with a comfortable walking shoes that are regularly washed.

Picture (Optional): I promise to get a scan of my drawing up real soon!

Personality: If Castforms were to hang around Remi, then Pokémon professors would need to change the physical image of how they look to the sun! The only Yoshino offspring is about as jubilant as they come in the teen years, letting very little damper her spirits. Always first to put off a smile, throw a friendly joke, or offer a helping hand, her magnanimous nature is perhaps Remi’s most appealing trait. She has been marked for being quirky and sometimes a bit too spunky by some; that’s usually just a description for the amount of enthusiasm she showcases towards Pokémon. While always bubbling with a fuzzy sort of energy to match a shining Cherrim, Remi knows when to back off and abide by another’s personal boundaries. People find that Remi breaks the mold when it comes to Ghost-type trainers; just not quite up to Fantina’s level of exuberance.

Having grown up in a Pokémon ranch, Remi’s fascination with the creatures never faltered for a second. She is a trainer that works her team hard, but not unfairly. Always tossing in a pep rally, grooming, and fixing up the menu, it would be safe to say she pampers her Pokémon line-up fairly well. This love for Pokémon also leads to her coming to help any wounded she comes across, immediately seeking out the next available Pokecenter.

In short, she’s a good Samaritan with crystal heart and an undying passion for the world she lives in.

Personal History:

One, two, peek-a-boo!

There 'squee'd' the newest born Yoshino, proudly named Remi. Her indigo hair just taking its first step in massing over the peach fuzz. She awed at the Pokémon toys that her father so tauntingly swayed back and forth, especially the one of the silly Haunter puppet. Laughter never ceased, as the young Remi swooed back and forth in futile attempts to catch the dangling claws of the Haunter puppet, her own laughter setting off childish giggling fits. A moment of weakness showed after Howard Yoshino grew slightly tired from leading his daughter about, and it was all Remi needed to tackle the dangling hands to the ground. Gasps echoed the room, but were quickly replaced with the giggles at seeing a string tied baby Remi rolling about like a Haunter-possessed Daruma. No amounts of cute enhancing pokeblocks could further enhance this tender moment.

That was only one of the many times Remi let her Pokémon passion lead her life. She didn't really stand out too much at school prior to being a trainer, if you can call being the class 'lightbulb' and 'livewire' normal! Her sunny personality earned Remi many friends, most of whom had become trainers or breeders themselves. The area in which she grew up in was near the steamy Fallarbor Town, home to the hotsprings and a passing point to Fortree's Pokémon Gym Challenge. It would be cliche to say that Fortree's Winona inspired Remi slightly into becoming a trainer, but that was what happened. Several televised showings of Winona dominating the scene and rising up to her status as the Gym Leader only added more sparkles into those youthful eyes.

Though Remi just couldn't see herself being a Flying type trainer. Or a specialist for that matter. While still young, she really didn't want to focus on one specific type. Her exposure to the variety of Pokémon was further emphasized by her household, which was a small ranch for wild Pokémon of the area to roam freely. From Swellows to the rough Geodudes, the visitors were always fun and unique to young Remi. Yet somewhere deep in her heart, she had her eyes set on a particular type to be her first when it came time to become a true Trainer.

On her walls and drawings stuck onto her binders, all of which were the known Ghost types. She knew that becoming a Ghost specialist like Gym Leader's Morty and Fantina wasn't her goal, but the childhood days of wanting to play with Ghost types never ceased. Occasionally a Misdreavous, Gastly, and Duskull roamed the ranch at night, and never went unnoticed by Remi. She loved their games of mischief, so long as they didn't cause too much trouble for the neighbors. After a few tipped MooMoo Milks and fear-stricken Ponyta's later, Remi got a good grip on communicating what was 'ok' and 'not ok' to her new entourage. She even gained her first close Pokémon friend through the nightly playtimes; who would later turn to be Remi's starting partner.

In other, Poke-unrelated news, Remi's social life remained pretty steady as she approached her coming-of-age. Few birthday parties here, some Feebas fishing there (with one snagging a highly irritated Milotic!), Remi enjoyed living the life of a tomboy. Not too girly with the fashion, yet tamed enough to keep her testosterone driven guys in check. Sunny and ever socializing, she easily became a popular person to be around.

She would also be well-traveled, with her folks taking a trip to other regions or towns to spread their Pokémon breeding and research tips to others. Amongst some of the destination were Vermillion City, Lilycove City, Lavaridge City, and Cherrygrove City. Not all trips were Sunfloras and Skiplooms, but she found ways to entertain herself. Most of them involved playing with the region's wildlife, but there were no rules against that!

RP Sample: The morning rays shone brightly and the Beautiflies happily went about their morning routine. Swellows and Tailows sung a delightful tune, as the prancing of light pawsteps ruffled the steadied blades of grass. A soft squee! and the next thing she knew, there laid an Eevee that was quickly making itself comfortable onto her napping tummy. Remi had half a mind to go and buzz the little furball for disturbing a very pleasant dream—one in which she was chasing a bunch of Gengars and Gastly's through a moonlit dandelion field. Cheesy as it sounded, she really couldn't see Ghost types as anything but cuddly...despite them not having a physical body.

Outing her limbs as far as humanly possible, a sloppy yawn fumbled its way into being audible. Not that it mattered except for perhaps a passing Whismur; something Remi hoped she wouldn't run into first thing in the morning. This particular route was pretty well known for its Whismur and Loudred population. Had she not gotten so preoccupied in chasing down Zealot for snagging her skullcap again, they would have been en route towards Fallarbor again. The detour was a minor nuisance, but Remi never was the one to take things into the doom and Gloom scent. She knew the experience of that...and wasn't so eager to become reacquainted.

Her two allies fumbled about lazily. Remi had to raise an eye to this, for Zealot and Artemesia were the only two of her team thus far that really didn't care to stay in their ball. It wasn't that big of a deal really, just brought upon some curious thoughts here and there. Then again, it probably was pretty boring being cooped up in such a small space for a long time.

"I wonder what they actually do when they go in?" Remi had to ponder this. It's a question that always intrigued her, yet no one had the answer. As she tidied up the camping ground, her thoughts mused over the freshly created theories until the good old alarm jogged her back to reality. A unison of three tummies roaring decided what would be first on the agenda for the day!

Packing up the last bit of supplies and making sure her Duskull-cap was firmly on, she scooped her backpack and made a beeline towards a nearby town. The day had just begun and she wouldn't dare face it with an empty stomach!

"WOO-HOO!"

Off her legs sprinted, leading to the wonders this day would carry.
