Applying for Staff Positions First off, all of our staff positions are listed in this thread. Keep in mind that positions you can not apply for are Administrator and Ranger. Free Ranger and anything below that are positions that members can apply for. Asking to be either an Admin or a Ranger will get you booted off the list of potential staff members. So if you really want to be one, don't ask. We'll come to you.
The rest of getting considered for being part of out staff is just filling out the the form that's below. Post your application to this thread. The thread is also open to any questions or suggestions you may have. Once you've filled out the form, just post it so the staff members can look over it.
All applications will start out as an Aide, then graduate to their preferred class if they prove to be staff material.

Position Wanted: Why You Want It: An Overview of Your Assets To PF's Community: A Brief Example of Your Role Playing: Roughly 500+ words, please.
What We're Looking Free-Rangers: People that remain active and can take canon requests in a timely fashion, as well as keep up with the canons during that time until it is completely finished. The biggest complain we've recieved in the area of Frangers is that they job can be somewhat repetative, so it is best suited for people that are okay with dealing with that or have a wide imagination with roles. (The stronger your RP sample, the more likely you are to get this job.)
Instructors: People that have a good grasp of grammar and writing mechanics, as well that are good at giving out contrustive critism. We are also looking for people that have patience with dealing with people that might not be good or as seasoned with RPing, as Instructors are expected to help these people improve their RPing capabilities.
On the General • For starters, activity. This is something that is listed in our rules on PokéFiends anyways. After all, what does it tell the users coming here when they see that the staff members aren't active?
• The want to help users that are on here (and not in the mini-moddish kind of way). If you display the want to help other users here on the forums, then that is really great! It shows to us that you have potiential to be in our staff ranks!
• Characters. Okay, this actually isn't a big one, to be honest, however it does contribute to you having a staff postition that has to do with RPing.
• Rangers are for people that have proven themselves on the site. You may not apply to be a Ranger. If we want you, we will ask you.

Two figures could be seen from the stalled barge near Skyarrow Bridge. Racing across, in what the passengers thought was the complete wrong direction. One was flying and one was riding, but... they must have been crazy to head to a city that was showing clear signs of siege and destruction.
"Nnnngh.... I didn't think this could get so bad, so quickly. We were barely ten minutes away when we caught wind of this.... who is this guy?"
The one overhead yelled down to him, having been eavesdropping. "You know, we're almost to the gate. We have to get there to check the status of the city. That's the job..." She whispered the last part to herself and her Altaria. She entering above the gate and he through it, they looked upon a scene more dire than even the smoke and airborne debris led to believe.
"We should stay together, Liam. Not exactly in the interest of our time, but it's safer." He agreed, and the two of them rocketed across the seaside road that linked all of Castelia. Liam noticed an untended fire; having it mentioned to her, the other quickly flew on her Altaria to the pier. "Dacia--! What happened to not splitting up...?" ------------ "C'mon, c'mon... bite...."
Some might think it not a good time for fishing. But a Water-type Pokémon was really needed for her to help, especially in a place in danger of collapse just because of the temperature. Dacia felt lucky that she always kept her standard Ranger kit with her.
!!
Dacia pulled up a big one: it was a Starmie. "Rowena, Cotton Guard on Starmie!" A strange command, maybe; but it had worked for her before. Altaria gave the Star Shape Pokémon a big, cottony hug with its downy wings. Pokémon never lie; the friendship she wanted was genuine. She launched a disc from the bracelet-like Styler on her wrist; leaving behind a blue trail, it circled the Starmie according to her arm's movement. The Water-type did little to resist, and she soon had a friend to help out. ------------- Liam was busy. His power combined with Stantler's still couldn't shift much of the rubble on the ground. 'Rubble' is loosely used, as these were chunks of buildings that were lying about. He noticed that Dacia returned with a Pokémon. So that's what she was doing. Pretty quick. He moved into the alley while Dacia was finishing up dousing nearby fires. And he noticed something. Something very odd. Liam adjusted his glasses to makes sure the light wasn't playing tricks on him. ------------- A barely visible form was trapped. Almost like a meteor hit it, it was in a crater-like ditch from where what looked like a piece of skyscraper fell on it. Worst-case scenario: check. It was burning up the entire alley. He had to do something, at least get that whatever-it-was out of there. He jumped up again on his trusty steed. "Godric, let's go. Extrasensory!" And then, their minds were one. Liam lent his Stantler some of his own psychic power; a daunting task indeed, getting both what seemed to be a Pokémon and themselves out of this burning alley. The fire parted easily enough; such intangible things yielded without trouble to Extrasensory. The problem: the fallen rooftop piece. "Godric, Megahorn! I'll cover you!["/color] His Stantler would charge headfirst into an exposed piece of the concrete, free from fire. It cracked, but it had to crumble. One more should do it, they both thought.
Wham. ------------- Dacia caught a glimpse of Liam, but she was more concerned about the figures in front of her.

Position Wanted: Instructor Why You Want It: Because help is needed, the current staff are stretched to do things. And I'd be glad to help left the burden. An Overview of Your Assets To PF's Community: I've been on the net since I was 12, I'm currently 26. And in those years I've been admin to several boards, that were either my creation or I was promoted to the rank. I've modded and still hold the rank of mod on a bunch of other sites, some still alive others died through various reasons. I've been playing Pokémon since first generation, and know the ins and outs fairly well, and have kept up to date on Pokémon (Have one of every generation game, in my collection).
As for role playing, I've been doing that as long as I've been on the net. I started out in a little FF board, which has since become an ancient of the net (Possibly even ascended). And played both good and bad guys over the years, I don't admit to be an English scholar in my writing. But I get my point across, and usually go over my work before and after posting. Activity wise, I'm on the board pretty much everyday, and as I have an iPad I can be on site at any given time of the day and or place I might be. A Brief Example of Your Role Playing:

The day had gotten cold, as mist rolled into the dry growth forest. Icicles covered the trees, as grandfather beards turned from their greenish colour to that of white. Resembling beards hung from department store Santas, the once dry forest was now falling into winter. As many of the creatures and planets rested for the season, a crunch could be heard upon the snow. Bare feet made its way through the snow, attached to a boy who wore nothing but a toga.
The boy, who was very androgynous in appearance and looked to be about eight years old. With his black hair, tied in one ponytail falling from the back. With two long bangs hanging down the front of his face, while his golden eyes scanned the landscape. Seeing nothing but the starting of winter, any Pokémon that might be around were hidding. As they'd never run into people before, they were wary of the new arrival. As Ashura walked through the snow, it crunched under his bare step. Heading in his chosen destination, Ashura was heading to a mysterious mountain. Which was said to be sacred by locals, and would curse anyone who approached it for evil reasons.
The young boy, had nothing but honourable intentions. Because atop the mountain was also rumoured to be a magical seed, this seed could replenish any dead field to life. His village was dying and starving, so he was tasked with going on a journey to find this seed. He was given the quest, because of his connection to nature which kept him from suffering, as much as the rest of the town had. So now reaching the bottom of the mountain, Ashura sighed and rested on a stone for a moment. As soon the boy hit the rock, he caught a glimpse of the mountain. The path ahead of him was filled with danger, from both the environment and Pokémon alike.
After he had rested for a moment, Ashura stood and started to make his way up the mountain. The first leg was easy enough, nothing but ascending hills and the odd rock. As he got higher, Ashura was attacked by wild Pokémon. A couple of Houndours had heard his approach, they were either angry he was on their land. Or they were hungry from lack of food, Ashura sympathised with them if that was the case. But he couldn't be stopped here, so he took off into a sprint. Jumping onto higher ground, just before the Houndours let off Flamethrowers.
Using the advantage Ashura kept climbing, up the almost vertical rock face. With nothing but bare feet and hands to help him, his climbing took a fair while. As he used every hand and foothold he could find, to make his ascension that much quickier. Because time was of the essence for his town, and so he couldn't take his time. Finally getting over the vertical climb, Ashura found himself on a plateau. Where the grass had turned white, not from snow but from the shear cold temperatures. The only reason he wasn't shivering, was because he was born on the cusp of winter. Allowing him resistance to both cold and heat, that's not to say he couldn't feel it. But it wasn't a big worry, because he had save his town. Walking along the white grass, Ashura found a group of stones in a circle.
Within this circle were ancient writings, he had no idea what it said. But it pointed to a path up the mountain, the boy shrugged and followed the path. Soon he entered a revene of sorts, as vertical cliffs rose on either side of him. Ashura carefully walked through, hoping not to set off an avalaunche or rockslide. But as he reached about halfway, rocks started falling from atop the cliffs. He started to run through the narrow path, avoiding the rocks when they got close. By jumping to the side of ahead of them, at one point his ankle was almost caught under one of them. Just as he was about to get out of the revene, Ashura was met with the body of a Tyranitar. Who had blocked the path, while he fell back on his bum. Ashura caught a view of his assaulters from above, they were a group of Larvitar who were snickering at the boy.
While beside the Tyranitar, was a load of Pupitar. And nothing but anger could be seen on the Tyranitar's face, Ashura was worried that he'd fail his quest. Because Tyranitar were known to be able to destroy whole mountains, and a small boy was nothing more then a smear for a Tyranitar. Reaching for the lone Poké Ball on his belt, as he did the Tyranitar stomped on the ground causing an earthquake. Ashura was shocked to his core, stopping him from grabbing the Poké Ball. It worried him that the Tyranitar knew of pokeballs, it was strange that a mountain without people. Would have Pokémon that knew of pokeballs, Ashura thought that maybe it wasn't a curse that stopped people.
Instead it was this Tyranitar and it's family, giving it an idea as to what Pokeballs were. He sighed before cupping his hand in the snow, then with a quick movement he sent a load of snow into the Tyranitar's eyes. Using the moment, Ashura bounded up and ran past the Tyranitar. Jumping the Pupitar, who were shocked from the dirty trick. Using his speed Ashura bolted towards the end of the path, which started to head towards a large open cave. Inside the cave was a pedestal, upon it sat a golden green seed. The size of a Clefa, the seed looked as magical as rumours spoke of. It glowed like a star, and radiated life energy. As Ashura got close to the seed, a blade flew past his face.
It didn't belong to a sword or spear, instead it was attached to a Bisharp. Which now stood between him and the seed, this time he'd have to fight properly. Grabbing his Poké Ball, Ashura let it loose to reveal an Eevee. "Eevee, use Sand Attack. With the snow, if need be" ordered Ashura as Eevee did as commanded, the thrown snow had done the exact same as what he'd done previously. Catching the Bisharp's face and eyes, Ashura used the moment to slide between it's legs. And grab the seed, chucking it into a bag he was carrying. And then running to the nearest cliff face, Ashura turned and returned his Eevee to its Poké Ball and smirked. "I'm sorry Bisharp, but my people are dying. I need this seed to help them, I'll be sure to return it when I'm done with it" explains Ashura before jumping. As the boy flew through the air, he pulled something akin to a large amount of cloth out of his bag. And let it fly up, and become a make shift parachute. Allowing him to float away from the mountain, and towards safety with his prize.
