Since there have been changes over time with the Pokéverse with certain teams and their members and all that jazz, we wanted to allow members that were applying for any kind of canon Team Member or even applying for their own original Team Member to know what's what. This post also contains all information concerning how Teams work and what their members can do.

---Other Teams General Notes - - - - - - - - - -Original Team Members - - - - - - - - - -
Yes, they are allowed and welcomed. You should read the
Original Trainers post, because those rules there apply to them.
Original Teams - - - - - - - - - -
They are allowed, but they are not being given bases (and therefore, reserves or mod powers to the leader) at this time. Perhaps later.
Theft of Pokémon - - - - - - - - - -
Theft is allowed here on PokéFiends, but only if you have the other role player's OOC consent. Obviously you don't need the character's consent, but you do need their players'. The only "theft" allowed without consent is Snagging. Please update profiles accordingly when you organize a theft with someone. We don't require forms for theft to be carried out, as it is between players to organize, but profiles should reflect the change.
Team Boss Board Duties - - - - - - - - - -Managment Duties of Team Bosses - - - - - - - - - -
Bosses are expected and required to manage their members and the listing of whatever Pokémon that Team might have in the reserve (see below). How a Boss goes about this is purely up to them, but it must be done. Whether you read all the threads your Team Members are in or post a pinned topic for them to notify you when they've made a capture and what of, you must maintain your theft reserve.
Cipher, in addition, must keep track of the Shadow Pokémon a member has (and note which are not snaggable) and must keep a total tally of the number of Pokémon in their standard Reserve to be used for their XD Project.
Failure to do so will result in notifications from the staff/warnings. You can receive as many as ten warnings for the lack of updating your listing. After the tenth, if a Boss has still failed to maintain the list, the character will be removed from their handling and put back on the claim lists.
How Teams Work - - - - - - - - - -Member Ranking - - - - - - - - - -
Remember that like in real life, making it from a simple member of a team to something as high leveled as an elite officer may take some time and may even involve impressing the Boss in charge. As perhaps your parents or boss at work (if you have a job) may have told you, "you gotta start from the bottom of the totem pole and work your way up." The same thing is required here if you want high positions in the Team that your Team Member is in.
Ranking, too, effects your influence in the Team. Bosses typically hand out missions to members. You can have your character never go up in rank, it's completely up to you, but if you want to be more plot central, you can go up in rank and join in with more influence when Bosses release more high profile missions.
To go up in rank you simply go to the Boss and request a mission. They will give you one, and should you complete it, you'll go up in rank as they see fit to honor it, ranging from a lowly Grunt all the way to an Admin. The PokéFiends staff does not control your ranking and that is purely between the Boss of the Team and their members. The ranks are as follows.
1) Grunt
2) Lieutenant
3) Commander
4) Executive
5) Administrator
x) BossTeam Reserves - - - - - - - - - -
All Teams may have a reserve of rentable Pokémon (in Cipher's case, they are all Shadow Pokémon). These Pokémon are given out to Team Members based on if they might be needed for a mission. A Boss may apply a reserve when first registered and list fifty (50) different species of Pokémon within it, organized by which rank can access which species. There does not need to be a numerical count of how many of each species there is in the reserve, and any member of the team may make use of that Pokémon species should they choose to, granted their rank is appropriate.
For example... say Team Rocket's Pokémon stores contain Rattata. This species of Pokémon would likely be listed under "Grunts," and any Grunt may use a Rattata, even if they don't have one on their character profile. A Lieutenant could also use a Rattata, because they are a higher rank than a Grunt, but a Lieutenant wouldn't be able to use the Charizard listed under the "Executive" rank on the storage post.
The only team that keeps a numerical count of how many of each species of Pokémon they have is Cipher, because their numerical tally defines how many XD Shadow Pokémon they may have.
Adding to the Reserve - - - - - - - - - -
Members of a Team may catch Wild Pokémon to add to the Pokémon Reserve, and they will be filtered in to proper rank tiers. These Pokémon should
not be added to a Trainer's roster, and should simply go straight to the Reserve for Team use. When adding to Cipher's reserve, they are made into Shadow Pokémon directly.
Teams - - - - - - - - - -Team Rocket - - - - - - - - - -
As it has been noted in the GSC series of the Pokémon games, Giovanni is no longer the leader of Team Rocket. (Canon material in both PokéSpe (he went off to go and rescue his son, Silver) and HGSS (he does not answer the call in Johto for his return) support this change. The person that we have chosen taken his place as leader is Archer from the HGSS games.
The Rocket's Hideout is still where it has always been, and that's the Celadon Game Corner. Team Rocket also has influence in Johto and the Sevii and Orange Island chains. So should you wish to, you can have your Rocket be from those areas and work in those areas and communicate to Archer long distance. They do not, however, have an established base there at the moment.
It should be duly noted that the anime character Meowth, companion to Jesse and James, is allowed for claim. Meowth is
not capturable.
Team Aqua & Team Magma - - - - - - - - - -
The main reason that these two are grouped together is the fact that they both pretty much have the same goal... only... different... if that makes any sense. POINT IN CASE — Team Aqua wants to expand the seas and other bodies of water for the greater of Water-Pokémon and Team Magma wants to dehydrate the planet to make it a haven for all land-walking Pokémon.
Team Aqua's Hideout is in Lilycove City and Team Magma's is outside of Lavaridge town in accordance to Pokémon Emerald. The leaders of Team Aqua and Team Magma are still both Archie and Maxie respectively. Six years later, they are still up to their scheming, no good deeds!
Remember that both sides of Team Aqua and Magma want to benefit the world in one type of Pokémon's interest, yet are still doing the planet a lot of harm. Interests of these natures should be portrayed in your Aqua/Magma character's personality and history section for the most part, unless you chose to some how have the character there against their will or for personal benefit.
Team Galactic - - - - - - - - - -
Among other things, Team Galactic tries to entice Pokémon and people to do their bidding, attempt to invite the region's Pokémon professor to do research for them, steal people's Pokémon, steal Trainers' Pokédexes and threaten them.
Unlike past criminal syndicates, the existence of Team Galactic is an openly advertised fact; they even broadcast television commercials requesting the donation of Pokémon. However, their genuinely criminal operations remain covered-up, under the guise of an energy company doing research.
Cyrus is back from the distortion realm with a vengeance and has regathered his organization! Team Galactic's Boss is still Cyrus, obviously, and their base is fully in Vielstone City. The Eterna Base is defunct and out of commission.
Team Galactic wants to catch the Pokémon that created the world: Dialga of Time and Palkia of Space, as well as Mesprit, Azelf, and Uxie, so that their leader, Cyrus, can destroy the universe and rebuild it in his own image with himself as an absolute god.
However, only the Admins and Boss are aware of this plan (which even then, Saturn isn't entirely aware of his boss's plan), while the underlings aren't really aware of the Team's true goals. Most of the Grunts joined because they were promised to be awarded rare Pokémon if they completed their assignments.
Team Plasma - - - - - - - - - -
Team Plasma is still around, not having deterred since N left and they lost their hold on Zekrom and Reshiram. Ghetsis now heads the operation himself.
The Shadow Triad are up for claim as one profile (wherein you get to play all three) or as singular characters should players wish to only profile one of the triad and develop them as an original character.
Team Cipher - - - - - - - - - -
After running rampant in Orre many years ago, Team Cipher is on the verge of making a return with their Shadow Pokémon and their XD Project. They are based on Citadark Isle and make use of an underground tunnel that opens into Pyrite Town through the old ways of The Under. Their Boss is Ardos, back to set things straight after him and his family had been vanquished years prior.
Keep in mind that Cipher is looking for sturdy members and that the boss, Ardos, is not keen on the idea of accepting younger, weakling members into his masses. It is likely that Ardos will look down on them. If you are interested in Cipher, you can read more about Shadow Pokémon in the
Shadow Pokémon thread.
Other Teams - - - - - - - - - -
All other, minor, teams do not have bases or reserves at this time.
Team Snagem of Orre is still around, but they have lost the ability to snag and are, from canon material in the XD game, assumed to be more or less... good... in a way. They do not have a base, but they still are around.
The Go-Rock Squad has four members still, the band kids, but they are assumed to be the only remaining ones as Gordor has vanished so Billy has taken over as leader. Is is assumed that they are not going to continue villainy and instead want to "take their music around the world."
Team Dim Sun has disbanded and as of then, Team Debonairs took its place in Almia. Kincaid is the leader as it is assumed that Blake and Wheeler have both gone to prison for their crimes. They do not have a base but they still have a few members trying to take over Almia.
