PokéFiends |
|
PokéFiends is an open and expansive multi-region Pokémon roleplay that welcomes both canon and original characters. From the regions in the main games, the anime and side games, and even a bit more, you can travel anywhere. Be wary, a darkness lurks in the night, a sinister creature haunts the edges of the moonlight. Turmoil brews, traveler, so take your first step with caution. |
Four months ago, terror held the world in stand still. The attacks on both Saffron and Castelia have concluded... and despite the growing darkness, the people of the world band together to throw an event in the spirit of world unity and the courage to stand against this new foe.

The season is currently Spring. There winter snows have thawed and new growth springs up across the world. Periodically, chill remains in the air, but never for long does it hang about. |

![]() The Huang Shan (Literally "Yellow Mountain") of China has been a subject of attraction for many years. It's immortalized in ancient Chinese ink paintings, and it a common tourist attraction. It's well known for it's unique appearance and the familiar trees which are called Ying Ke Pine, meaning "Welcoming Pine." That being said, congratulations. 8D This was most fun. Simply direct me to which character the money and items (you can split them up) and Zigzachs will be going to, and I will sort them into the profiles. |

I don't see why not. Give me only a moment and I will go about doing so. Pokémon are given out in the anime anyways. *prods Forrest's Steelix* and Event Pokémon are ALL give aways in a sense. I'm thinking about doing an event like this bi-weekly. What say you guys? |

Sounds good to Me. Lol i'd just like to see something other than 20 questions every time. Maybe one time it could just be random drawing of signed up participants, or something? Or, maybe RP their character having to rub some kind of obstacle course maybe? Lol just trying to throw some ideas out there. |

Haha I know. I seriously didn't want to do 20 questions every time. I thought about a riddle at first, but with google so close at hand, I decided against it. I'd like to avoid a raffle, since the Phione drawings are raffles (which no one has signed up for!) but it doesn't seem like to bad of an idea. After for an RP style event, I didn't even think about that! That's a great idea. I think that will be something I work out for next time. |

First... *points up* SPAM D< Second... Really, Mizu, I'd think you'd think a contest through more thoroughly >>;; I could have gone question after question asking stupid things and just totally ruined the event. Guessing a random thing based on no evidence. You didn't specify a rule about waiting for another user to ask a question, or even that an individual couldonly answer a certain percent. This is all based on time. >> I went to work with the contest being just starting and came back later that day to see it finished. Kind of unfair to people that aren't around, yes? That and we were waiting around your own timeline for you to answer the questions... so if our schedules didn't lock in, tough luck. I'm not prissy about this thing, it's a contest and all, I just want you to think a little deeper when you make these types of things, since honestly, I saw flags from the beginning of stupidity. *shrugs* Being honest and not really sugar coating it. |

First, I figured it was a given that people wouldn't ask stupid questions, and had they, I was prepared to not consider them. I understand it's a time thing. If I do one that will be effected by schedules like this again, I plan on assigning it a time slot, well before the date, allowing proxies (people that step in to play the contest for a friend that can't attend due to the schedule) or other. I don't plan on doing another time-effected one again, though. Time though, hmm. Take this under the knowledge that I frequent Gaia. Contests don't just up and stop because one person can't attend due to it's time of holding. Even in real life. I admit, I did a damn poor job on this because I started right when I posted it. I should've let the contest sit for a few days and told people "at such and such time, it will open then" or something, or of the above examples to allow people to have a fair chance. And really, Cranny, in all honesty and with no sugar coating, if you saw stupidity in it from the get go, why didn't you tell me when I linked you to the thread before anyone had posted, so I could correct it then? *shrugs* |
