"I was so busy waiting for someone else to give me the answers that I gave up looking for them myself."

Lucha [Male Pignite]: Lucha, like his owner, is headstrong, and he can be easily angered. He is Sinaéd's earliest pokémon, and easily the most loyal. He defends her like no other, and will often push others aside to be the first in battle. He doesn't really get along too well with Sinaéd's other pokémon, but she is working on it with him. He and Kindra clash a lot.

Kindra [Female Liepard]: Like most cats, Kindra is very arrogant, and fairly vain as well. She knows when her looks have been insulted, and is quick to retaliate. However, she shares with Sinaéd a very close emotional bond that involves a lot of give and take from both of them to maintain. Her biggest fights tend to be with Lucha, but Skreet annoys her to no end, and often she will start fights with both of them if Sinaéd cannot mitigate them.

Skreet [Male Emolga]: Skreet is unlike either of Sinaéd's other pokémon. He is bouncy, happy-go-lucky, and goes with the flow a lot of the time. Having saved him from being beaten by Boldore, Sinaéd is often wondering what to do about his abundant energy. He's the last to start a fight, but he will often finish it first by flying where the other two can't reach.

"We're showing the truest part of ourselves."

Standing at a solid 5'6, Sinaéd is slender in frame, but always appears more robust due to how she stands, and what she wears. Typically outfitted in bulky dark leather jackets, knee-high combat boots, black-painted nails, and either jeans or belted skirts, she looks like a rocker, holds herself like a rebel, and glares at the world. Her shirts beneath the leather and denim tend to be softer, in darker fabrics, and often notably feminine, in direct contrast to her intimidating image.

Her hair is naturally a vibrant ember orange-red, but she bleaches and dyes bits of it to maintain blonde streaks and redder undertones. It falls past her hips in thick waves, often flowing freely down her back. Her skin is tanned from spending much of her time outside, and with little makeup on at any given time, she manages to draw in looks because of her natural beauty, and just as easily send people packing with her attitude, shown in her usually more aggressive stances, her stubborn jaw, and typically narrowed teal blue eyes.

"Am I the only one who thinks this is overkill?"

Sinaéd is a headstrong young woman struggling to find her place in the world. She was heavily insecure about where she stood with people, and put up a brave front to try and keep others from seeing this. She cares deeply about a small select group of people, but always looks out for them with a surprising amount of loyalty. Her impulsiveness often got her into trouble when she was younger, and those decisions haunt her. Sinaéd is often at her best when on her own simply because there is no one around to offend.

She also suffers from an extremely guilty conscience due to an accident she feels she caused. The accident killed her foster brother while she was out partying with a friend and now she actively tries, to be a better person. She's fiercely independent, though, and strong-willed. Passionate, but afraid of who else she would hurt by simply being around them, she keeps to herself. It's hard for her to form attachments to others because of this. Pokémon seem to be the only exception, and that's why she collects so many. She wants to have large groups of friends but feels she can't.

"Let me show you there's another way... just like someone once did for me."

Abandoned to the foster system as an infant, Sinaéd bounced around a few homes growing up before landing with the Greenes. They weren't outright abusive, but they were often neglectful in favor of spending time with one another until they had a son of their own. Like most foster families, the moment they had a kid, they tried to foist Sin on to another family, but the system didn't have anywhere for her to go. That bred a resentful relationship between them. The only one who didn't seem to hate her was Alec, her foster brother.

Growing up fending for herself made her often forced into situations a child shouldn't face on her own, and she made decisions that were hard habits to break as she got older, such as smoking, drinking, and partying without a care as to her grades or peers. However, as time wore on, she grew more reckless with her own safety until fate made her pay better attention. She had gone out to party with a friend, and her foster brother had been sent out to look for her for an inspection they would be having on the house the next day. Alec was killed on the street the party had been on, a bad part of town Sinaéd had been repeatedly warned was filled with gang wars, and disregarded.

Having heard the shots above the music, the teens in the house had ducked first and continued on, except for Sin herself. She had gone outside for a smoke break and seen Alec's body torn up. Horrified, she called the emergency room and had everyone vacate the house. She'd been summarily kicked out of the Greene house, dropped out of high school, and left town with nothing more than her Tepig to keep her company. She was approached by the Darkness on her journey, through a concert by the Discord twins, and had the sudden urge to travel in a particular direction instead of aimlessly wandering.

She traveled from Castelia, hitched rides across the regions, took a boat West across the seas to the American region she'd been told she could train within. On the boat there, she heard of an academy for trainers, and knew instantly that it would be the most ideal opportunities to gain power and influence. Her ultimate goal was maybe find a way to bring Alec back to life. She had no way of knowing what was true, but she would try. Alec deserved that much, at least. So she set off for Solaris Academy.

"Believe me... I've got everything I need to know about you."

Sinaéd kicked a pebble with her scuffed combat boots. It clattered on the pavement as it skittered away, catching her Pignite's attention, and he growled at it 'intimidatingly'. Her lips twitched into a briefly-lived smile. Teal-blue eyes stared out at the sea with the Virginia harbor at her leather-covered back. With a grungy grey-purple hoodie over her thick hair, she looked like the typical punk teen, torn and faded slim jeans seemed painted on, and the black leather jacket over her baggy hoodie added bulk to her small frame. Chains rattled at her waist as she turned on her heel, hands jammed into her pockets where her pokéballs were easily in reach. The unfamiliar environment had her on edge, and she hadn't had a smoke in ages, so she felt very twitchy.

Grimacing beneath the shadow of her hood, she beckoned Lucha over to her as she made her way through the throng of people. Solaris Academy couldn't be far, she figured. But even if it was, she knew the basics of hitch-hiking. She picked a few pockets, bought a couple packs of cigarettes and some food enough to last her and her pokémon all at least a couple weeks. Then she swiped a few lighters and water bottles from the nearest Journey store and high-tailed it outta there. She didn't want to catch any attention from the pigs. Instead, she scooped Lucha up and settled his weighty frame on her shoulders as she took off north. There was no way she would be making him walk at her pace as she double-timed it down the highway intersection out of town.

For a few nights, it went like this, grabbing what was necessary for her Pokémon, only getting smokes when she was really stressed, and traveling on foot with one of her companions with her as she slowly made her way through the maze of southern Virginia towns, hitch-hiking occasionally when she wasn't sure she was going in the right direction, until, a few weeks later, she finally made it. The gates stood tall, gleaming polished gold in the sunlight, and the building white and lavish, with large grounds and students milling about. Not ready to face anyone, and still filthy from her travels, Sinaéd slunk toward the nearest homeless shelter, bathed, washed her clothes, and rested. She had time. Now, at least.
