Alright, I am aware that a few people are going to disapprove of this topic but if you wish to ignore the items addressed in the following post, then that is fine, but we don't need to know about it. I'm posting this not as an admin, but as a concerned individual. It's clear that everyone is aware that the Pocket God Forums is not doing well at all, and it's clear that most people wish to rectify that - but no one is doing anything about it, which is why I'm initiating a public discussion about the future of the Pocket God Forums. The facts are simple. There are very few active members, which results in less posts, which causes people to lose interest. There are no active members registering and there is very little which is keeping people here and keeping people engaged and coming back for more. What can we do about that? Well, that's up to everyone here, because the staff are probably not going to do it - the community will. I have other commitments and whilst I can provide a helping hand, I cannot do everything on my own, and evidently nor can the staff. Whether you have an idea, comment or you'd like to add something, please do so. The plan is to either have a 'working bee' in a few weeks where everyone will be able to contribute and make changes to the forum, or we will simply close. That's it really. A new staff team is also a possibility, but it's up to you guys, not me, not the staff, the community. If you have a problem with this, please save our time and point your eyes elsewhere. |

First off, RFB was talking about 'workshops'? What are they? No offense to any of you staff members, I love (homo JK) you guys really.. But, I think a new staff would make things interesting. This i just my opinion, don't hate me. <3 Also, I don't think the forum should close as in be removed.. But instead just keep it open so that we can still occasionally come on. Plus, there is no point in closing it when you have obviously put so much time and hard word into the PGF. |

I'm new But I really like this forum and I really don't want it to close! If you made new staff I would be okay, Since I don't really know who the staff is right now. |

My opinion on this has been heard before so I don't need to say much. @PygmyHulk: The Staff here are the ones with blue or green names. All we really do is look after the forum, that's it. And personally, I don't think we need another staff member. I'm not saying this because I have just become one but I personally thought there was enough staff before. I also agree everyone else. I have said it many times before, but I don't think we need to close. I know it's not up to me, but I am just agreeing with everyone else so far. |

That wouldn't work. Besides, I don't need to be an admin. A moderator is fine. And we can't just be admins because we feel like it. Being an admin actually takes a lot of work. Ask any of the current ones, they will tell you. I would say more but don't have time. |

The "working bee" sounds like it would be kinda fun for the members, plus it could boost some interest. But honestly, PCow, we've had so many good ideas in the staff forum. I think if we went through with some of them instead of starting and giving up, things could be really fun. Also, if it's all right with the other admins, I'd like to explain the workshops idea. I'd really, really like it if we did that. I had some cool stuff planned for that. :( |

I'm sort of between a rock and a hard place about this whole thing. I personally don't know what to think, except stuffs gotta happen. And yeah, workshops should go ahead RFB. But my only concern is the fact we don't have many members to participate in it. @Pygmyhulk...please stop acting like we don't know you're TOH, cause we do. |

Excellent, so here's a brief explanation of workshops: The staff (I believe mainly admins) will be teaching small groups of members over the course of a few weeks how to do different stuff, like coding, writing, graphic design, etc. The official topic will tell more, I promise. XD |

Podoscow will be running a sex ed class, though. All those skills you need to hook up with the girls! Or boys. Whatever you fancy. @PygmyPalace, that is really quite cool! Only problem is the vast majority of forums are already about gaming - which is why it's got to be specific to a certain game franchise or it just won't work. I think if enough people wanted to transform the forum, then we would - but I just wanna leave PGF as PGF for now. |
