|---|
| These are the official rules of the Pocket God Forums (PGF). Most, if not, all rules following this paragraph require a decent amount of common sense and civility. If one shall disobey these rules, one shall be punished with either a caution, warn, or ban/Internet Protocol (IP) ban. First thing's first, if you under the age of thirteen, do not sign up on this forum. You must be over the age of thirteen to sign up on any message board under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA). General Conduct The Pocket God Forums is about Pocket God. It is not about a Bible that goes into your pocket. It is about an Apple application; a game. A game aimed at 9 year olds and up. If you want to talk off-topic, then head on over to the off-topic forum. Off-topic DOES NOT MEAN, however, that you can do whatever you want. You are not allowed to post anything explicit in nature, such as pornography, gore, or questionable content in ANY forum in this board. Also, before you post, consider: is your post informative, interesting, funny, and/or contributing to the topic?
Posting Rules Low-Content Posts: Also known as "spam", low-content posts are, as you'd expect, low in content. Examples include one-word posts, e.g. "hi", "cool" or "awesome :)". They don't exactly contribute to the thread, do they? If you come across a thread you particularly don't like, you don't need to say things like "this thread is stupid." Because if you do that, the staff will just think you're hypocritical. Also, correct grammar is recommended. As long as your contributing post isn't intrusive (it's understandable), post away. Malicious Posts: Posts set with the intent to annoy users, cause grief, harm, etc. is strictly forbidden. Everyone has the right to be respected. If you want to post like this, head on over to the folks on 4chan. Also, the posting of malicious URLs containing explicit websites, virus/trojan infested websites, any type of pornography, gore, or very questionable content will result in an immediate ban. Stay On Topic: It is very easy to get sidetracked on such a fun forum like this. But, it is quite irritating when one opens a thread to view what was supposed to be a discussion about Pocket God's newest update, but is instead a debate about religion (debates will be covered further on in the rules). Please try to keep on track on the subject at hand; if you feel everyone is off topic, do not order everyone to go back on topic. This is called backseat moderating and will also be covered later. Instead, contact a staff member for assistance, and they'll sort the problem out. Arguments/Flamewars: Flamewars are basically fights within a forum community. They generally compose of disagreement, insults, explicit language and/or threats. Flamewars are very discouraged, especially on a forum like this. Any flamewars between two or more individuals will result in a warn between ALL members involved, and if continued, a suspension for one hour. Respect ALL Staff Members: The seven staff members of this forum (listed below) must be given utmost respect at all times, especially when addressing. Any disrespect towards a staff member in any way will result in a warn. Harassment: If another member harasses you, please attempt to sort it out via PM before notifying a staff member. Many incidents can be sorted out without a staff member's involvement. If nothing is sorted, however, please contact a staff member, outlining what the other member has done. Also, please do NOT post other people's personal information, such as address, phone number, emails, etc. And try to stay out of others' personal lives, such as searching for their Facebook profile. Your Account: When signing up to this forum, the account you use will be your only one. Any multiple accounts will be banned and deleted upon the Administrators' choice. Any sharing of an account is also prohibited. Swearing: Swearing is banned. Being a forum about Pocket God, aimed at younger users, the forum is not to be used for general swearing in posts, shouts, or private messages. And to note, although there is a swear filter in place, please try to refrain from swearing anyway. Any attempted or successful bypassing of the swear filter will get you an immediate warn, regardless of the context used in your post. Do not act as if you are staff. This is called backseat moderating, and examples of this include "get back on topic.", "can someone please close this thread?", or "Please stop backseat moderating.". It is very annoying to staff; if you want a thread closed, or see someone acting inappropriately, please notify a staff member, or report said member. Just because you have been on the forum longer, or you're well respected, doesn't give you the excuse to break the rules, demand to be listened to and be respected from all members and staff. No one is exempt from the rules given in this page -- not even staff. Regarding these rules; do not try to attempt to bypass any of the rules shown above -- these are general specifics, and are very flexible. Image/File Rules Please keep all images and files posted on this board work-safe/appropriate. Do not post images or files containing pornography or gore. And, any posting of any illegalities (child pornography, bestiality, etc.) will result in your account being suspended and IP banned. No illegal file talk. No warez, no cracks, no CD codes, no illegal programs. Do not post links, ask for links to download, or otherwise discuss illegal copies of copyrighted works, including movies, books, software, etc. Signatures: Please keep images as small as you can if setting it into your signature. More than 3 small images on a signature is not allowed, and GIFs must not be incredibly large in size. This is to help reduce bandwidth problems amongst those who are on slower networks. Staff The Pocket God Forums Staff consists currently of: Two Administrators; Two Moderators; And one Coordinator; Administrators are the leaders of the forum. They are responsible for keeping the forum from reaching anarchy, basically. They have full administrative powers of the entire forum, and must be respected at all times. Moderators, obviously, moderate all forums on this website. They are responsible for dealing out cautions, warns, or to an extreme degree, bans. They scan the forums for any rule-breakers. They must also be met with respect. Coordinators are generally helpers and coordinators of the forum. They contribute to many things that staff may not be excel in, whether it's drawing, coding/programming, event organization, etc. While they have no moderator controls, they are to be also treated with respect; they are staff. If you have a problem with a moderator, is treating you poorly, or feel he or she is not doing his/her job correctly, please notify an Administrator, and steps will be taken to ensure any problems are solved. |
