Character's Pet: none Character's Broom: none Character's Boggart: Dementor Member Title: A Mystery within Himself Appearance: Grit has the grisly and almost beggarly appearance because of his dressing style. He is always seen wearing a long brown trench coat on top of his brown clothing. He always wears gloves which are cut off at the fingers and his hair is short and brown and always very messy to give him the appearance of a beggar. He also wears tall brown army boots which look just right on him because of his height. He had blue penetrating eyes and always appears to have stubble for his beard because he sometimes chooses not to shave. He is taller than average which is somewhere above six feet last he checked and he is thin enough to be considered a stick, but still healthy. He is very good at intimidating others because of his appearance and clothing style. Also, noted to keep a weapon with him besides his wand which is a pistol that is always kept hidden. Personality: Grit is a very unique man because he is the sort of person who you can never tell what he will do next. One moment he can be the nicest man you’ll ever meet but the next moment he can be strict as hell. But most of the time he has a very laid back attitude which angers his superiors sometimes. He is very loyal to Simon Creed who is the new headmaster at Hogwarts and follows him down to every command even though he has the sole problem of questioning authority. Kids needed to be prepared for this coming war and this was the way to do it. Many younger adults and kids tend to be frightened by him so sometimes he chooses not to speak at all and instead anaylzes the situation before acting. His appearance is very deceiving for he is smart and cunning beyond his years but the better for him than. He is not afraid to follow orders, but every once in a while he is known to have a heart for those who are in need of help or are falling behind. History: Grit was born into a rather large family with four siblings and two parents. He had a normal muggle childhood except his family fell on some hard times because his parents were having trouble enough supporting the family with their jobs. He never really knew what his father did for his job except that he worked at some sort of company in the city. He got along well enough with his siblings and his parents, but since his dad was never home his mom tended to pay more attention to his older brothers so he was sort of neglected at times. It was only when he became a teen did everything change. Months after his birthday his father was murdered within their house after an attempted robery. Or thats what the family was told. Grit was the only one awake to see what had really happened and it had been his first encounter with magic and his first time firing a gun which had slipped out of the robbers hands as he cast some sort of spell. Grit was close to being sent to an orphanage when he recieved a summons to hogwarts and he took his first steps into the wizarding world. Grit attended Hogwarts during the school year and ended up living with his mom and his sister during the summer time even though his mom was oblivious to the fact that he was a wizard or that there was even a wizarding community. He was thought to have gone to a private school. Grit enjoyed hogwarts more than ever and he was often very reckless at times. The summer he came of age he told his mother the truth and she was horrified of what he was so he left. He searched for his fathers relatives for they were obviously the magical side of the family, but there were no traces of them. It was as if their existence had been wiped clean. Grit couldn't use magically during the summers so he instead took to using guns. They were way less effective than magic, but Grit just had a knack for being a skilled sharpshooter. He eventually found out that his dad had been involved in some kind of resistance against Voldemort and was killed for it. When Grit found out this crucial piece of information it tore him apart that his father had been one of the unfortunate ones to be murdered. It was than that Grit decided to become an auror to stop others from meeting the same fate and he slowly climbed the ladder at the ministry of aurors. He became very skilled at catching dark wizards because of the tactics he employed. Even though his skills in offensive magic were a bit on the weak side he is praised for the tactics that he is able to employ in the wilderness and being able to use nature to his advantage. It was just something that came easily to him. He tended to always keep a gun around with him for he knew that a bullet could kill just as fast as a spell. He was always ridiculed for keeping a muggle weapon with him, but he didn't really care either way. Dead was dead. As the war began he began analyzing tactics that the death eaters were trying to use and it was during one of his missions that he happened upon Simon Creed. At that time he was very close to becoming the head of some department, but Grit didn't know why he stuck with the man. He was overly strict and tended to put the war in front of anything else, but maybe he just grew attached to the man. Even though he won't admit it. He was never really considered a friend, but more of a superior and Grit decided upon sticking with the guy to see what would happen. Maybe he would be the one to help stop this war who knows? And who knew that Simon would become the next headmaster at Hogwarts? Oh that would be interesting to see. He considered staying out of that whole situation for he had the feeling what Simon would turn the school into. But he finally changed his mind and agreed to come help him at Hogwarts, even if the second term had already begun.
