Harry had been going up to his common room when the staircases began to move. He could only remember one other time when this had happened to him and it was in his first year. He decided he'd go and see if the trapdoor was still there. He walked into the room. The ceiling was lower then he remember it but of course he was alot smaller in his first year. He was suprised to see the trapdoor was still there. He flicked his wand in the trapdoors direction causing it to swing open. He looked inside sad to see that it was just a small storage area now. He swung the door shut making a loud thumping noise. He looked up and saw some windows that weren't there before. He opened one of them and looked down. He could see the lake and some sort of creature swimming in it. He watched the creature slowly sink into the water. ~HP |

Hermione was on her way up the stairs after class. She loved Ancient Runes, but it was probably the class in which she had the most work to do, all the time. The Professor had just assigned them a huge essay, and so Hermione thought she'd head to the library to get started before dinner. As she walked briskly along the mazes of corridors and staircases, she hardly looked around her. It was only when she hit a landing and the staircases changed on her again that she grabbed the railing and looked up to see where she was being moved to. She let out an exasperated sigh when she was turned the the direction opposite her route to Gryffindor Tower. She looked around for the quickest way back when she saw a familiar head of untidy black hair disappear into a corridor she hadn't been in since her first year. Curious as to what Harry was up to now, Hermione decided to head into the third floor corridor. Carefully navegating her way up the stairs, she came at last to the locked door that closed the corridor to students. Pulling out her wand, Hermione said, "Alohamora," and the door slowly opened. Hermione stepped inside to see Harry by a window. Funny. She couldn't recall windows being there last time. Well, the castle was always changing around. "Harry?" Hermione asked, walking over to him and pocketing her wand. |

Harry had heard someone walk in and wasn't suprised to hear Hermione. He turned around, "Why are you here?" Harry asked her confused as to why she would be here. Of course he didn't even know why he was really here. He must have just been bored. ~HP |

Hermione tilted her head to the side and answered Harry, "I was going up the stairs, and they shifted. I was trying to find a way to get back to where I was when I saw you ahead of me, coming in here. Just thought I'd come see what's up." She explained. She looked around the room for a minute. It hadn't changed much since they had visited it in their first year. Only, Fluffy was no longer present. Curious, Hermione moved over to the place where the three-headed dog used to be, and looked at the floor. The trapdoor was still there. Hermione had assumed Dumbledore would have sealed it after the incident with the Sorcerer's Stone, but apparently not. Shrugging, she turned back to Harry. "So what brought you up here, anyway?" She asked him in return. |
