Her light complexion stays the same throughout the year, her cheeks being the only part of her that show any color. Artemis's hair has been dyed so many times it's hard to tell what color it really is, though most of the time she leaves it dirty blonde-ish. Her hair falls well past her shoulders and is pin-straight. She leaves it down, mostly, though on occasion (such as when she is working, painting, or drawing) she might pull it back. Artemis's eyes are blue, though you can hardly tell under all the make-up she wears. She has a round face, but a pointed chin. She's small; short and petite. Her tiny frame was passed down from her mother. She has virtually no curves, and if she does the clothes she wears hides her figure well. Artemis isn't really that attractive, either. She doesn't pay much attention to her looks - she trys to avoid the 'girly-girl' or look. She's much more comfortable in her jeans and a shirt. Artemis stays in shape but is not toned or muscular at all; just slim. Other than that, she doesn't really stand out. Personality: Artemis likes to be by herself - or it has just been like that for so long she has grown used to it. She spends a lot of time on her art, or getting lost in a book. She has a few good friends, but also tends to wander around between different groups of people, though she never grows attached to them. She is more of an observer. Artemis is the kind of person that stays in the back of the room, watching everyone else. She can have a temper, but only if you say something that hits very close to home. Normally she is calm and pensive. This is usually when she is doing something creative - expressing herself through her drawings or painting. If someone wants to talk to her, that would be the best time. She is in her element and more open to others. In class she pays attention and does pretty well. It's more because she's interested in most of the subjects at school than that she's naturally brilliant. Artemis likes to learn about magic, even though she grew up with it her whole life. It's just something she feels she will never fully master. No matter how much she learns, there will always be more. History: Artemis was born to wizarding parents, both of which worked for the Ministry. They were law-abiding workaholics that had little to no time for their witch daughter. They spent obscene hours at the office, always with more to do, almost completely forgetting they had a daughter. Artemis spent her long, parent-less days with a family friend, but they, too, were busy. Artemis found a way to entertain herself by coloring or painting with watercolors, or something of the sort. If she didn't have coloring materials available to her, the lady she stayed with always had plenty of books around. Artemis would read old stories that tended to capture her imagination. They were also good outlets for her. When Artemis finally received her letter from Hogwarts, she was thrilled. Finally, she would be away from her parents and with other kids her own age. After spending so much time alone, Artemis looked forward to the wizarding school. Her parents were happy, too, because now she'd be out of their hair for most of the year. Artemis and her parents didn't have a great relationship, but when bad news came from home, it hit Artemis hard. In her third year at Hogwarts, Artemis recieved news that her parents had disappeared without a trace - the Ministry had done everything they could, but no one found them. In the weeks following their disappearance, Artemis threw herself into her work - in school and in art. They were the best ways to keep her mind off the real world.
