Tom used Coldstone to summon only the inner circle. He waited, displeased and angered at two of his most trusted. Harshing backed away. Tom looked at him with a great disgust, for no reason in particular. He was deep in the Irish forests in an old monastery ruins. He waved his wand and levetated some rocks over to him. He stood on them. |

Bellatrix felt the burn on her arm again. She was glad to feel it again... it had been dormant for so many years. Bellatrix disapparated on the spot, reappearing in some Irish forests. She noticed she was the first to arrive. She bowed to her Master, not uttering a word. He seemed angry - moreso than usual - and that was never good. |

Julianne felt her arm burn once more. Truthfully, she rather enjoyed the feeling, because there seemed to be no pleasure without a little pain, in her world. Since she was in her home, she apparated straightaway to be at her Lord's side. Upon arriving, she dropped to her knees, and said, "My most gracious Lord, I greet you." |

He placed a hand on Juli's head and stroked her hair. Then, serpent-like he moved over to Bellatrix - saying nothing. |

[I'm going to be gone for a few days. [see absence forum], so I'm sorry if Bellatrix isn't here when you torture her, etc.] Bellatrix watched coldly as the Dark Lord placed a hand on Julianne's head and stroked her hair for a moment. She hated to see Julianne in a position so close to the Dark Lord. The power had gone to her head. It was Julianne who was arrogant enough to compare herself to the Dark Lord himself - when Bellatrix knew no one would ever match his power. The Dark Lord continued over to her, and Bellatrix followed him her her stone gaze. He came to her and stopped, and they stood there in silence, though his meaning could not have been clearer: he was angry with her. Bellatrix knew this could only be Julianne's work, and it caused the anger to rise inside Bellatrix, but she was careful to contain herself. She couldn't hex the Dark Lord's "most trusted" Death Eater, especially not here. But that's not to say that Bellatrix didn't want to hex the girl, and pay her back for all the trouble she was causing. |

"Explain." tom began, circling her , "Why you showed insubordination to the first death eater?" His words were pronounced harshly. |

Adriana felt a rush of burning through her arm and quickly went to Voldermort, to see Juli and Bella already there. She waited in silence as he spoke to both of them. |

He shook his head and stood before Adriana. "And you - why did you show insubordination to the first death eater?" |

Adriana looked at Voldermort in the eye. "We may not like each other but I've never shown insubordination towards her." Adriana said clearly. |

"Are you questioning my word?" His voice rose into a high pitched hiss. His wand high. "You shall duel Julianne. If you win then you shall duel me, if you win that then you are the chosen one in the prophecy of old," Tom laughed, sitting on his thronic stage. |

"Okay." Adriana said. There wasn't much else to say. She glanced at Juli and gripped her wand by her side tighter. |

Julianne was right pleased with the Dark Lord's decision. She did not even hesitate for a moment after Voldemort told her what was going to happen. She gave a slight head nod as a bow, which could be interpreted as her affirmitave to the duel instead, and without waiting another second, her hand twitched and she wordlessly sent a Crucio at Adriana, followed by a 'petrificus totalus', and a chain binding curse. |

The dark lord watched, amused and interested at how the duel would go. He rapped his fingers on the throne seat. |

Adriana bowed to Juli, and quickly ducked her curses and laughed. "Is that the best you go?" She said. Adriana speahlessly (spelling?) sent the cruciatas curse at Juli and then mumbled the curse Incendio under her breath so no one could hear and fire shot out towards Juli. |

Julianne laughed, her hand twitching and conjuring a wooden shield in front of her. The cruciatus curse slammed it into pieces, which then lit on fire from Adriana's incendio. If the girl wanted to taunt her, than so be it. Only fools let words get to them. And Julianne hadn't even moved yet. She twitched a finger, and three seperate curses were once again flying at Adriana. The first, she sent at her knees, a 'diffindo', or cutting curse. That was one of her favorites. And then she sent off a chain binding curse at the girl's midsection, as well as a reductor curse at her head. And then, for good measure, she cast an impedimenta, basic, but effective, to both the left and the right of Adriana. (Julianne does not use a wand, by the way. She's standing there with her arms at her sides.) |
