Xanthe had been sitting alone at one of the tables in the middle of the library. She liked to come here to read, or listen to music quietly, maybe join the occasional study group. But today Xanthe really hadn't any purpose for being in the library. She had just been bored with sitting around outside and decided to find something better to do. Xanthe had been sitting motionlessly for quite a while that when she moved her head it was only to let people know she wasn't dead. Xanthe moved her arm slightly and then heard a book fall to the floor. She yawned and looked down at the book that had fall face up on the spine.

Sean was walking into the library when he heard a book fall on the ground. He walked over to the girl and the book and picked up the book placing it on the table. "Hey." He said.

Xanthe looked up at the boy who had just picked up her book and smiled. "Thanks... I was going to pick it up eventually but I thought it might make a good picture." Xanthe said and slipped her camera back into her bag. "But the lighting wasn't right." she finished shrugging and motioned toward the seat next to hers. "Take a seat unless you have something better to do." She said brightly with a reassuring smile that showed off her perfectly straight teeth.

He smiled and took the seat. "Sorry I didn't know you wanted to take a picture of a...erm...book." He said. "Anyways, whats your name?" He asked.

Xanthe laughed and shook her head now that she thought about it that had sounded a little weird. "Never mind it's kind of hard to explain. She smirked while thinking about how much of an idiot she looked like. The truth was Xanthe liked to take photos whenever and wherever she was. So to her taking a photograph of a book didn't seem all that odd but she could see how someone how didn't know her background with modeling and all would be put off by it. "Oh I'm Xanthe, if you don't mind me asking what's your name?" She said and opened the book to the page where it had been before it fell of the table. As she waited for him to reply her eyes darted back and forth betweem the paper she was taking notes on and the textbook she was reading.

"Oh I'm a Hufflepuff, 7th Year actually. She added and shut the book not wanting to be rude and looked up. "So... what were you doing in here? I mean you don't exactly look like the booky type." Xanthe said with a shrug. She wasn't exactly how to peg this guy as she had only met him a few moments ago but he just didn't seem like the type who hung out in the library for the reading. ]"Not to be rude or anything. She said quickly before he answered hoping she hadn't offended him or anything by saying he didn't look like a big reader.

"Yeah I'm 7th year too but in Ravenclaw." He said. "And your right I'm not a booky type I'm just naturally smart really, but I was bored and thought someone I knew might be in here, but there was no one. So I'm glad I met you." He said smiling.

Xanthe nodded slowly and smiled. "Oh okay I have a few friends in Ravenclaw." Xanthe added. "So if you aren't the library rat type what 'type' are you?" She questioned him and began to think about what she would classify herself as. Of course she cared about her studies and she had learned by now that raw intellected wasn't going to get her far on the owl or newt exams so she studied hard even if it wasn't fun. But then again there was always that rebellious streak in her past and her not so cute modeling career. She sighed and began to tap her pencil against the table not really caring which sub category stereotype of people she fit into.

Sean ran a hand through his hair and laughed. "What type am I?" He asked and sighed. He wasn't about to tell the girl he was a heartbreaker because then she might think of him as an ass. "Well you could say I'm rebellious." He said.

"Oh... hm interesting." Xanthe said slightly distracted by the noise from the library. There were just so many kids filing in here now that it was getting hectic and less tranquil than normal. Xanthe came here to think, relax and sometimes even hide from the rest of the school but with so many students turning it into a make out spot or social hour she was starting to regret coming here. Honestly some people couldn't be higher beings in life. "So... what do you like to do for fun?" Xanthe asked turning back to the boy trying to give him her full attention. Only a moment later she furrowed her brow and scrattched a note down on the paper near her hand. She could always go back to it later since it was just another idea for an ingrediant to add into her recipe in her book at home.

"Um just hang out I guess, I party a lot and I play quidditch but not competitive." He said noticing she wasn't really into the conversation and he frowned. "What about you?"

"Oh I see, hm that sounds fun I love sports actually but I mostly play muggle ones." Xanthe said with a smile. She was actually happy to tell people about how tolerant she was and open minded, sure it may tick them off but she could care less. Most of the pureblood families would end up having incest anyway since there weren't enough of them left... and then Xanthe would be the one laughing. "But my passion is photography... I model as well but I really love to be the artist instead of the materials..." She said with a sigh.

Sean listened as she talked about what she loved. "I see, thats so cool. You could definately be a model your pretty in a unique way. Thats a compliment by the way. You don't need all the makeup to make yourself look good." He said smiling.

"Thanks it's funny you say that because most people have never seen me without makeup. I guess today I just felt like trying something new..." Xanthe said with a shrug. It was a nice compliment but she wasn't really sure if she was going to allow anyone else to make it and pulled out her compact. She quickly applied some blue eyeliner and bright colored eyeshadow. Not really her normal detailed job but it would do until she had time to fix it. "So... do you make a habit of walking up and talking to random girls or am I an exception?" Xanthe asked.
