Xanthe had been sitting in the courtyard by a bunch of shrubs for what seemed like forever. She had a big exam in her next class and was trying to do some last minute cramming during her free period. At least it will help a little. Xanthe reassured herself silently. Sitting outside outside in the warm sun helped Xanthe concentrate better.

Winnie carried her books out of the large castle doors and into the courtyard. She smiled to herself as the warm sunlight hit her pale face. She saw a fellow student sitting by herself. It wasn't in Winnie's nature to go sit down by her but so far she hadn't made that many friends. She sighed to herself and walked over to the girl. " Ello...d'you mind If I sit with you?" she asked.

Xanthe shook her head, "Nope I'd love the company, I'm Zanthe by the way." She said and smiled while putting down her books. "I was trying to do some last minute cramming but I think I can take a break." She paused. "What did you say your name was?" Xanthe asked.

Xanthe smiled she was starting to like this girl already because she seemed really nice and was friendly. "Oh right," Xanthe giggled. Sometimes she could be so spacy which was't exactly the best thing and she hated it actually. She had always thought it would make people think she was dumb, she usually said stupid things because she was thinking about to much at once. "So what house are you in?" Xanthe asked.

Xanthe glanced down at her badge and then back up at Winnie. "I am but why haven't I seen you around?" Xanthe asked and tapped her finger on the ground. She was trying to figure out why she had never met Winnie when she glanced over at her Divination book. Right...I'm supposed to be cramming. Xanthe thought to herself slightly dissapointed. "So erm do you know anything about Divination?" Xanthe asked hoping Winnie might be able to help her.

" I only know a few things." she sighed. " sorry." she paused looking up at the sky then back down at Xanthe. " the reason we haven't met is because I usually keep to myself."

She smiled knowingly...keeping to herself, well that was something Xanthe knew how to do well. "It's funny that you say that," Xanthe started. "See I'm totally social on some days but on others I just like to be alone so I don't have to deal with it all." Xanthe shrugged she wasn't sure if Winnie would understand but that was the best explanation she had. "It's okay not many people know to much about Diviation anyway." Xanthe replied.
