Amaia looked quizzically at the book Professor Griffith put on his desk. He asked if she knew what it was. At first glance, Amaia didn't notice anything unusual about it. It looked like one of many leather-bound books that filled the shelves in the Library. "I don't believe I've seen it before... no." She answered him. She glanced at Joseph, who still looked wary of her presence in the office. She wondered why it bothered him so, but didn't dwell on it. Amaia quickly looked back at the Professor. |

"This is a diary" he said "A diary of a very special girl who plays a very important role in the events that are soon to unroll in the magical community. Have you ever heard the name Emily Rosenburg" |

Once again, Amaia racked her brains and came up with nothing. She was becoming slightly annoyed, though she hid this from Joseph and Professor Griffith. She didn't like feeling so stupid, and she was not used to not having the answer. Of course, she had come for an explanation, which implied that she did not know and wanted to. Amaia came to notice that her logic worked in circles. She shook her head to clear her thoughts and get back on track. "No, I don't think so." She answered again, slightly more difinitavely this time, but still unsure. Amaia's mind now reeled with thoughts, possibilities. A diary of importance? Something going on at school? Did anyone else know? And why was Joseph here, anyway? Amaia wondered if all her questions would be answered or if she would remain puzzling over this for some time. |

"Emily Rosenburg at the time this diary was arote was a twenty seven year old witch" he said slowly folding his hands on his desk "She was the last known contact and only known relationship to Mister Tom Riddle before he became what he is today she is also the mother of a student you know very well" he paused with a smile on his face "Nikolai Timosha" |

Amaia's mouth dropped open in horror as she finally understood. She clapped a hand over it quickly to keep from looking like a complete idiot. After a few moments she moved her shaky hand from her mouth to her cheek. It was cool, almost cold. She could only imagine how the color must have drained from her face. "You mean to say," she began, her voice shaking but trying to keep it under control, "that Nikolai - the student in this castle - is the son of..." Amaia whispered the hated name, "...Voldemort?" |

Joseph finished his glass of red liquid and looked to pour some more, "get to the chase, I thought you had a plan" |

"What to do with him?" Amaia asked, her voice a little stronger than she had intended it to be. She hadn't been comfortable around Joseph, that was true enough. But he was a student, and he hadn't done anyone any harm. They didn't need to do anything. "Get to the chase, I thought you had a plan." Amaia heard Joseph say. He had been awfully quiet, and now that he spoke he did so without much respect towards the teacher. Where did a student get off telling a teacher what to do? But again, Amaia kept her opinions to herself. This evening was getting more bizarre by the minute. |

"Keep your temper nephew" he said to joseph "If you had a little more patience maybe you would be of a higher rank but let us not get into that. He turned to Amaia "Do you know the course of action the Ministry would take if they found this out" he asked her |

Joseph slumped back into his chair and drank more of the blood liquor. He looked over at Amai to see what she would respond. |

Amaia's mind had been on a pretty straighforward path, until Professor Griffith said one word. "Nephew?!" Amaia hissed, understanding immediately. Her head did not move - her eyes darted from the Professor to Joseph... and then move to his cup. Her eyebrows came together pointedly over her eyes, then raised. "Dios mío," she said so quietly that at first she didn't realize that she had spoken aloud. She shut her mouth, sure that they knew she knew, but not wanting to draw any more attention to it. Well, at least now she knew why Joseph was here. "Do you know the course of action the Ministry would take if they found this out?" Griffith asked her. Amaia did not answer right away. Was there a 'course of action' if Voldemort had an heir? She could only assume they would want to keep him under close watch - whether at school or Azkaban, Amaia didn't know. They might even kill him... or the Dementor's Kiss? The possibilities were too dreadful to imagine, and Amaia quickly pushed the images from her mind. "This is so... unexpected, I don't think the Ministry has a plan, Professor." Amaia said. "But I'm sure they'd do something," she added quickly. |

"O i know exactly what the minister would do" he said sitting back "He will kill him without question" Griffith leaned forward again "But we can not let that happen this boy has done nothing wrong and worst of all he doesnt even know what he is yet" he said in an almost whisper "This is why we must niether let the minister know nor let the boy get out of our sight he is to be watched at all times and trained away from evil" |

Amaia took a deep breath. He wasn't going to tell the Ministry. For a while she couldn't tell whose side he was on, and didn't want to give support either way until she had a better idea. But Nikolai is innocent. For now. Amaia agreed with the Professor. "This is why we must niether let the minister know nor let the boy get out of our sight," he said. "Right," Amaia agreed. "So what are you planning to do? You can't just watch Nikolai, he'll catch on. So will the Ministry, in time. What can you do?" She didn't mean to sound rude, she was just curious... and intrigued. She'd never been in a situation like this and was going to take advantage of the opportunity to learn as much as she could. |

"I have my ways and my methods miss ortiz" he said "for now those are paying off the boy can not breath without me knowing and that is all we can do for now the most important thing though is to not let him know where he came from or who he is for curosity might get him intrigued enough to research if you know what i mean" |

"Right." Amaia repreated, more definately. She hadn't been planning on saying anything to anyone, but she understood the teacher's concern. The fact that me had 'methods' made her nervous, but he was only trying to keep Nikolai alive, so it couldn't be a bad thing. "I understand - you can trust me," she said. |
