It's a bit cliché, but true in her case. They are an ice blue color, which contrasts sharply with her soft, pale skin and dark brown hair. They're not particularily expressive, but because of their unusual color they appear a little intense. Her eyes are set above a small nose, which leads down to an equally small mouth. Katherine's hair has naturally large curls that frame her face nicely, so she tends to leave it down. Katherine was blessed with features that do not require much work in order to make her look good, but she still takes her time each day to make herself presentable. Katherine is just above average height at 5' 7" and has a well-proportioned figure. She has a wide variety of robes that are altered to fit her perfectly, but she is stuck wearing school robes while she is at Hogwarts (she gets these black robes fitted, anyway). The one piece is distinguishing jewelery she wears is an opal ring that has been in her family for generations. For starters, she doesn't absolutely hate muggles. Shocking, no? Now that isn't to say she's a blood traitor muggle-lover, but she just knows that they are below her status, and that's the way it is. She doesn't see the point in rubbing it in their faces, or treating them like dirt just because they aren't the same as her. They're below her, and so she doesn't bother paying them any attention. If she does have to deal with them, it's usually with an attitude of dismissal rather than hatred. Katherine is surprisingly easygoing. She knows her place in the wizarding world, and she knows that with her position come certain responsibilities and expectations, and she has resigned herself to the fact that certain aspects of her life are beyond her control. In fact, there are many things in life beyond her control. So, she takes things as they come, and doesn't get all worked up over the tiniest things. The only time she does get herself worked up is in a competition. Katherine likes to compete with other people, because she likes to prove she is better than them. It is this attitude that drives her to do well in school and study hard. She's not a bookish nerd or anything like that, she just likes being ahead. Sometimes she wonders if she should have been in Slytherin, but the fact is that she's not nearly ambitious enough. She's not the kind of person that would lie, cheat or steal her way to the top. She would much rather beat someone by her own talents. Katherine does have some stereotypical pureblood characteristics. She's not an all-out bitch, but she does believe she is above muggle-borns and half-bloods. For the most part, she simply does not associate herself with them because she doesn't think they're on the same playing field as purebloods. Katherine is very good at hiding how she really feels - a skill in which all purebloods are well-rehearsed. Her family has copious amounts of gold, so Katherine has pretty much anything she could want, but she doesn't make a big deal about it. She showed signs of magic at a young age, and her parents made sure to find her the best tutors so she could learn French, Spanish and Latin before leaving for school. She also learned the proper etiquette for purebloods and attended a wide variety of social gatherings beginning as early as she could walk. She was raised in a world where image, class, manners, wealth and power were everything. She had expectations and responsibilities outlined for her since before she was born, and as she grew up she fully understood what her duties to her family were, and she respected them. She was never much of a troublemaker, and so became her parent's golden child. When she was sorted into Ravenclaw her parents were proud, although she knew her father had hoped she would be in his old house of Slytherin. Still, Ravenclaw suited her well. Katherine was smart and driven, and succeeded in her house. She did spend a great deal of time with Slytherins, though, because the majority of them were other purebloods that she had known since childhood. She enjoyed her time in Hogwarts castle, but her summers at her family's manor were also quite enjoyable.
