Sad news indeed, folks. It seems that due to unforeseen circumstances the pageant ended before it ever really began. The contestants were sent home with vouchers for free admission to the next pageant, however.

This just in. There has been a strange outbreak in key parts of the city. The residents are pouring into the hospital faster than the doctors can help them! It seems the Reaver virus has finally reached Verschieden, and is taking it by storm! If you have been following the national news, the following facts are already known to you.

*Reaver virus survival rates are between 30 and 60%.
*Survivors of the Reaver virus contract the Methuselah Syndrome.
*Methuselahs can have any of a variety of the following ailments:
--Actinic Prurigo -blisters and lesions caused by exposure to the sun
--increased carnivorous tendencies
--elongated canines and bicuspids
--dementia and/or extreme paranoia
--severe allergy to silver
--severe anemia


If someone you know is exhibiting any of the symptoms above, urge them to see a doctor and call our Reaver hotline at 1-87-ReaverRX. Again, that number is 1-877-328-3779. When you call, be sure to have the name, age, sex, and address of the afflicted person. Medical experts will be standing by.

Please be sure to keep your distance from anyone afflicted with the Reaver virus. While in virus form, it is its most potent and deadly. Survivors, Methuselahs, should be handled with extreme care as any kind of blood transfer will afflict a healthy person. As with the AIDS virus, if you are found to be willfully and maliciously infecting members of the community, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Our latest breaking story is the Great Verschieden Pageant! That's right, folks! The higher-ups of this fair city believe we have grown big enough to host our very first annual city-wide pageant! Everyone is welcome, no one is looked over. Please pick up your local papers and read page three for your very own application and a copy of the rules! We hope to see lots of contestants. Let your talent shine!

On other fronts, the weather has been windy and cold, but the sun has been shining brightly every day. We also have an announcement about a former member of the city. The coroner has confirmed that the victim of last week's rogue vampire attack was one Rosetta Bancroft. The family is being contacted and any condolences are to be directed at the address showing at the bottom of your screen. (If you have had any interactions with Rosetta Bancroft, please feel free to discount any and all 'plot developments' you were working on with her. She has been permanently banned after many offenses and is no longer a welcome member of the community. We're sorry if this inconveniences anyone.)

Well, I'm excited to say that Once and Before is finally open to the public! Come one and come all, to explore the wonder and mystery of our fair city! Tell your friends, bring you family, but don't leave them unattended! You don't know what could happen to them out there.

As I'm sure most of you know, OaB has been lovingly worked on for months now by our very own Omnipotent Power. Who's the master-mind behind this insane project? We may never know... However, we do know that whomever this creator is, he or she has been working laborously to bring us a wonderful new place to live! Be on the look out for when the doors are officially opened and everyone is welcome to come frolick in the newness that will be Once and Before!

Next in our list of amazing updates is me! That's right! As the newest member of the reporting staff, I, Rita the Reporter, will bring you all the news that is news to be had in our fair city, and all the reaches beyond! I will be giving you up-to-date information on the happenings here and, believe me, my job is a tiring one! So if some of the reports are a bit lack-luster, I'm sure you can imagine why.
