I’ve been talking to Vox about this but I feel like we all should put in our thoughts, I'm sure that some of you have noticed that the new recruits don't know a thing about the citadel, our ranking system or any clan rules. It is possible that they were invited by a fellow recruit or low rank, one that doesn't know the rules themselves or they simply don't feel like telling. It's also possible that a higher rank didn’t feel like giving the new clan member the needed info to move forward in our clan. Therefore we were thinking about changing the ability to invite new members to a higher rank (I would go for sergeant). They're fairly active in the clan, well least active enough to be able to know the rules. It would be nice to make sure that the new member will get a short introduction to the clan, simply saying welcome, you can find the ranking system on the Runescape clan forum, same for our events and please follow Jagex game rules while you are in the clan. Anything that looks like that If everyone that invites would tell this to the new members then they might end up gathering resources faster, and know what we want from them. So any thoughts on this? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Votes from the Rs clan forum: Miko Nico: I agree with this idea. Lieutenant would be a nice rank for it, as it is the first of the 'Star Ranks', heh. Caleban: as long as those that can do it are aware of their responsibility to show someone around when they add them, i see no problem! bridles216: I agree with miko nico lieutenant seems reasonable, for now anyway. Not Abstract: i go for generals. Tai Eats Sky: like miko nico, first star rank ^.^ Sparc04: I would say first star rank because they clearly know the rules and are usually on the forums. Night W1sh: I think captains+ they know the rules and the are with us for long time so it will be ok ![]() ShippoKirara: i say gold stars should b able 2 invite peeps but shouldent b required Edited by Music Within, Apr 26 2012, 02:41 AM.

when trying to discuss the clan rules to a new recruit, one may often find it difficult to include every single bit of the rules that they need to know the proceed. often things are overlooked (i know i kick myself in the head every time i walk away from the computer for the day after ive recruited someone and forgot to mention something important.) i believe that we should have a continuous post about the general rules and stipulations that a recruit must follow in order to stay a part of the clan, on it would be such things as obvious as: what is the citadel?, how can i find out when clan events are?, what proper cc ediquete is, etc. i believe this addition to the runescape clan page, we can easily direct recruits to view that page and be better versed in clan affairs right off the bat, and have them post there after they are done. just something to think about. |

I agree that recruiting capabilities should be given 2 the higher ranks, I would of never known what 2 do when I started this clan if it wernt for Tifa showing me how 2 do stuff and giving me cita tour And I do see lot of recruits ask when and how to use the citadel.

People not caring about rules probably has something to do with it too. It's not like there isn't other clans they could go to where rules aren't a problem |

This is a good idea. I think getting them to look at our forums (rs or ngor) is a good start and a basic chat run down of the clan would be a good idea too. |
