Great ideas veil. I asked people in cc if they can go to Ngor and check tifa's post and half of them were like what is ngor? Requiring use of these forums for gen would work if we can find a way to get this site into hands of new members without risking safety of our accounts or their trust. |

Tiffany Says: I love the idea of keeping citadel in mind. When the talk begun of making ranks based on who talks in chat (I'm like omg it talks at day and isn't as active at night when Heliana gets on to check who's there - perhaps we just need to recruit more night members than day). So long as citadel is kept as a reminded we either rather resource or all is lost through decay after a full year of work put in. All we need is a simple 1 day per week upkeep and we won't have to go back to earning everything all over again when it decays (after we FINALLY get done with the hardest upgrade ever, maxed tier stronghold). Maxing every skill plot will be simple as it always has been. I also worry about kicking people that don't do citadel. Perhaps we could issue kicks if they drop to lowest rank (Recruit) and still won't gather per weekly cycle - letting them know they may rejoin if they wish to help citadel. But it has been an optional thing ever since the first (and only) time we've kicked 194 members and FINALLY lately regained our 300 where we left off from when clan chats started in April 2011. I'd see it fitting we kick when ever we're maxed, that way we maintain a stead 500 member total, keep easy recruitment of everyone wanting to join for free weekly XP and XP bonuses and XP ring unlocked. But that idea of encouraging ranking for attending events seems like a nice touch. Definitely should help in promoting more Organizers to host them events. I know I can't do it alone with barely keeping up a job while trying to max my stats and host 99 parties, 2 membership giveaways and 5m drop every month. ![]() This talk of changing the vexillum, the clan logo, or our clan's colors however.. meh. I enjoy our cape and vexillum the way they are. Unique to us being the only gothic clan of RuneScape and fully representing black/red to the day we die. We even had a few kids telling me to change the site logo because his parents won't let him use the website. I'm like ha! It's a compass that I made a circle around and connected the dots with lines. Nothing more nothing less - it was the design I came up with one day in classic while looking at the minimap. Kevin Davis: That has always been an issue in the old ways and old rules. It is perfectly safe since March 2009 to say "National Guard of Runescape" and "National Guard of Gaming" and "google" or "youtube" and "facebook". I'm not alone in my stand against injustice of old Rule 11 (2005-2009) which false banned and muted players for avoiding filter to name "google" or people that reference clans and clan websites. I took a 3 year ban on my main account to make a point "wuuw.runescape.ciom" avoiding the filter of "www" and "com" cost me a perm ban (one of MANY) and in their defense Jagex's Mod Craig inboxed me upon unban claiming the mentioned URL "is not our website and may be a scam." Further proof on the corruption at Jagex during the early years of RuneScape under the tyrannical leadership of Mod Andrew. Rules have changed. And we now have more precautions from Jagex to protect player safety from these false bans and mutes. So have no fear. So long as a URL is not mentioned it shouldn't result in any punishment. All thanks to a famous player (Tehnoobshow) for having the balls to stand up against Jagex and boldly advertise the "YouTube Gathering" in the RS forums. I was waiting for him to get banned as well, but strangely after that Jagex changed Rule 11 "No Websites" and began offering "Banned Account Reviews" thanks to Mod Crow. Anyone could post any name of a banned account, and Jagex would give it one more review of offenses under the new rules system. Thankfully among them my account was finally unbanned. @Erik, I didn't see mention of changing the vex but no, vex and clan colours shouldn't change. Our logo is awesome, the only change I'd consider was an update to make it clearer and more dynamic but otherwise we have a cool logo, design and vex ![]() And yes, Citadel will remain a focus, we just want a system that encourages both citadel growth and clan involvement Yeah the clan does have more active times, but its not just talking, but events and forum use as well.Regarding recruits, that's the idea. We only want to kick the recruits who are completely inactive. Having 300 members is great, but not if half or more don't do anything at all (gather or talk or even go online) and I think it annoys people more than encourages recruitment. But that's just what I think I'm reading on both this thread and the thread on the RS clan forums + Pinta's thread. Its just the inactive recruits not other ranks (though of course they drop a rank for each week they don't cap currently) @Kevin, yes getting them to trust NGOR is a issue we need to address. I mean none of us have ever been hacked but some people are very cautious. Really the best way is to get those who want to use it to join and then those that don't want to use it should jump on the RS Clan forums and when they feel ready to use NGOR they can. We just need to get word out about both locations. Edited by Veiled Black, Mar 16 2012, 04:16 AM.

Here are all the ranks ![]() Owner (golden key) Deputy owner (silver key) Overseer (bronze key) Coordinator (we don't use this rank atm) Organizer (silver star thingy) Admin (bronze star thingy) Above have the ability to change clan settings that's why we don't use them that much. General Captain Lieutenant Sergeant Corporal Recruit Thanks to reading all the comments I've come up with this, tell me if you agree or if you want something to change, remember I"m trying to please most of the ranks that posted. 1)The ranking. People were quite positive about the need to gather less resources to keep/gain/maintain a rank and when we reach tier 7 well it should be possible. So for example for P2P: Recruit: gathers 250 resources least in two different weeks to get a rank-up to Corporal. Corporal: gathers 500 resources least in two different weeks to get a rank-up to Sergeant. Sergeant: gathers 750 resources least in two different weeks to get a rank-up to Lieutenant. Lieutenant: gathers 1000 resources least in two different weeks to get a rank-up to Captain. Captain: gathers 1500 resources least in two different weeks to get a rank-up to General. General: gathers 2000 resources weekly to maintain the rank. Edit: the previous proposal of being active (events, talking and so on) also are included here. The other ranks can keep their rank unless they don't cap in one/two weeks. (something to discuss about). Reminder the generals have the chance to win a month membership that's why I would like that they have to gather weekly. F2P ranks can get ranked up to let's say Sergeant for being active talking in the clan and joining the possible F2P events. Also there will be made a thread to post on and tell us that you can't gather resources that week or for 2 weeks, with a reason like exams, vacation or a private reason which you won't have to explain. 2)Promoting events. The events will be posted on our Runescape event section, NGOR and on the clans Facebook page. I've made an account for it so we should be good maybe the organizer(s) can advertise it when they're online if that's needed. There will be a thread made on the Runescape forums where people can post idea's for future events just like we have one on NGOR. 3)Kicking inactive recruits. This is still something where there are two clear sides.. "kick them all" "let them stay" I've noticed that the people that are online, are a recruit, don't talk, don't reply and are like others said dead weight. Therefore I think that we should get rid of those people (maybe bots) first. We do not lack any space and only the ones that show us that they're dead weight bother most people. So I think that we're still on my proposal on trying to contact those that are on, pick out the ones that don't reply to anything and write them down. They'll be kicked out after one or two build ticks. That way we don't lose another 200 ranks but we do lose the ones that bother us the most. Let me know what you think, if most people agree on something mentioned above then we can stop discussing about it and preparing on making them happen. Note: the ranking changes will change after we reach tier 7 citadel since we still need a massive amount of resources to get there.

Wait, the above proposed system is also in conjunction with the previous proposed requirements of active communication, attending events and forum use (or some form of that kind of thing)? |
