That's just perfect, yet i stress on the rule of the recruits.
It can easily go as follows:
1) ALL recruits are warned of their bans via chat/forums/facebook etc.. starting the reset that comes after this rule applies.
2) They are then given this week to start earning their ranks.
3) Those who maintain their recruit rank for the next week AND are active members are personally warned by our key ranks. Then they are given one last week since we are nice people :)
4) A failure of getting a rank up in that weak results in a permanent ban.

And how would that reach our clan members that are in the army atm? and will the F2P players get kicked? :) (that's why I wanted to try to contact them personally, we can start on doing that if we lack space for new members though)

I love this idea and glad you are making an attempt on this Tiffany. There is a few things we can change on that though to have more traffic on forums and more interactivity.
Instead of General being the only one who has to be on forums for their rank, why not have all stars (Lieutenant - General) and maybe even Sergeant on that list?
Now another flaw with our rank system is that sometimes people go on vacation for over a week during times like spring break, members should be able to post an away thread and not worry about losing their rank.
Those were just a few suggestions I had and might add more as this topic progresses (:

Maybe for people who know they will be away, they could just tell a keyrank if unable to post it here, on FB, or NGOR. Otherwise, if it was a legit excuse we could always re-rank them right? RS needs like an inactive members list so they won't get kicked out, but will take the penalty of being inactive.

I think All inactive or silent should be kicked. I think maybe recruits have to cap at least 500 resourse a week, corporals 750 and so on. But to rank they have fully cap every week for a certain amount of weeks. For events you could do shout outs every 5 mins. Just some ideas

I like the minimum amount of resources idea, it would be good for people who can't be on long, but still want to be in clan.

Nah, I think the things you mentioned are fine as is.

As far as the ranking system goes, why change it? Changing it won't do any good.

Promoting events is fine, and a good cause. I do support events however I noticed something. People always say they want more events, but when the events actually happen, the people shouting "more events" are usually the ones who don't show up. If you want more events, you should at least attend the ones we already have.

Kicking inactive ranks seems useless for the moment. If the clan starts to get close to 500, then sure this idea makes sense. But for now just leave em. They aren't hurting anyone right now.

That's my opinion, then again, I'm not rank recruit-overseer.

Guys its great we're getting all your feedback keep it up we want more! :)

I think perhaps recruit should simply be reserved for people who don't want to collect resources but still want to be involved with the clan in some manner, be it talking, events or so on. But that does mean being active. So they can't move to higher ranks, but if they want to avoid being kicked they still need to be involved in the clan. The inactive/silent/sit around doing nothing recruits should be subject to removal from the clan as Tiff as put forward. Or is the general consensus that all ranks should be expected to collect resources, even if it is a minimum to maintain rank as Grurlock suggested?

@Grurlock, that is a really good idea! I'm actually very fond of it :)

@Pinta, the issue is from what I read of your thread, people have issues with the recruits being allowed to stay. They give a false sense of size, and the fact that they are completely inactive is something that annoys the clan which doesn't help at all. They want us to do something about the inactive recruits so we're trying to do something now.
As for the rank changes, again not everyone is happy from your thread. And if we want this clan to be more unified as well as participating in events, a system that promotes not just the citadel but clan participation is really important.

@Myrr I would love to implement something along those lines regarding everyone accessing the forums for the rank. But the issue is some people have trust issues regarding sites...but then again....perhaps something like star ranks require a forum account, bronze needing just to make an account and a single post. Silver could something like 10, and General something along the lines of 20? This might promote use of the forums and continued use?

@Light + Myrr, the inactive option is good, we really do need a way for people to say "hey I can't cap this week for X reason". If we introduce a minimum resource level for keeping rank I think that might help address the issue, but certainly being able to post inactivity would be good. Preferably they'd just post their name on a thread either here or on the RS clan forums, but a key rank could potentially take names down as well.
Alternatively for people who are away for weeks/months they post an away notice. But for those who just can't cap in a week maybe we look at something like a 1 or 2 week grace period? If they don't cap by that point they receive a derank and the grace period only applies for legit circumstances?

@Rach, I think 1 rank off is fair over 2 but yes they should be punished if they have no reason for not making cap (or minimum resource following grur's idea)

Thoughts?
