Ranking System Idea; worth a shot?

There's been complaning with a lot of people,those that want to be in clan and not help citadel,and those that do not getrespected,so here's a ranking system idea. Also we need to issue a new rank system BEFORE tier 7 citadel,otherwise many generals will leave,also,we have time enough to get used to the system. Than with Tier 7 citadel,it's supposed to in theory get better to promote clan.

Recruit rank/ 1 banana rank = All people that join clan. Normally are those that are on probation.
Corporal/2 banana rank = All those that are active in clan for at least 1 month.
Sergeant/3 banana rank = All those that are active in clan for at least 2months+

This way,f2p people and those that utterly refuse to do resource get to gain 2 ranks,for the "recruit" sentence.

Lieutenant/bronze star rank = All those that gather resource for 2weeks.
Captain/silver star rank = All those that gather resource for 1 month.
General/gold star rank = All those that gather resource for 3months+

This way,those that actually take the time to help upkeep get a higher rank from the "lower class" showing their loyalty.Also people generally when joining a clan always want "a higher rank than others". Many people work on pride.

Admin rank = We will use this as the clan's "trial period" rank,when planning on promoting someone to organizer/overseer. This helps us monitor people's behaviour before trusting bigger powers.

Organizer rank = 2 people,that agree to have an ngor account. They will host an activity per week,once being for f2p other p2p,and this can switch between them per week. Ie once it's player A for f2p,2nd week,Player A gets p2p. They have quite a large assortment,we could pin a thread of all events they can offer. They ALSO must post an event notice a) on ngor b) rs clan forum page c) inbox erik/deputy.

Coordinator rank = Every month,an organizer becomes a coordinator (Just for 1 month until "shift ends") Example
January = Player A,February = Player B,March = Player C,April = Player A and so on.. A Coordinator has the "value" as an organizer,only that he/she can host a p2p/f2p event,whatever they prefer. Also they have higher responsibility,of making sure any event is posted on forums,and promotes the events in cc.

Overseer rank = This rank I am not sure about. With Deputies being the ones posting about ranks,I really do not see any use of it. Maybe anyone has suggestions?

Deputy's = we can keep the same system,being chosen by other deputies for filing reports and what not. Also,until (if we ever) reach 200+(ACTIVE) people we only need 8 deputies...when the numbers grow,we can increase number of ranks ^^

Q&A

Q: How will we know how long a person has been in clan?
A: Until this system starts running correctly,for those 70-ish people that are active,will will check the active list.
After that,i'm thinking,we create a profile per person on a special thread,and we tick near their names/edit. Or soemthing between those lines.

Q: If someone doesn't getter resource/looses unactiveness,will they still get deranked?
A: Yes,we will have the same system,and once having profiles per person,it will be easier to tick/untick changes.
Maybe even have dates written when the person might get "ranked up". That way,if a person fails to cap that particular week,we shift the date by 1 week forward. ~ something like that :)

sounds like a fair and square system :) great idea Heli :D question, will deranking work as it is now, with the: if you don't gather resources, you get deranked a rank. or will it get reworked too?

I'm in agreeance. A new ranking system is certainly needed and this looks quite fair. It still promotes clan resourse gathering but without the required push for those who really don't want to.

If we implement a new system saying around a month before tier 7,people have time to adjust to it. If you think changing completely the rank system once we do have tier 7,it will confuse a lot of people,and honestly I fear many will leave. Both solutions have a 50:50 risk,so,i need EVERYONES feedback in this.

I don't mind this idea although it needs to be more of a challenge to get ranks. You don't want to hand them ranks on a silver platter, and it might take some time for people to get comfortable with the rank change up.

We could change the time needed to claim ranks? i just gave faint ideas,but we also need them to be rational,as in,i don't want general rank be like,6months of capping in citadel,or i swear general ranks will be rarer than keys :P

Recruit rank = for the probation members and members that don’t want to gather, just like it is now.
Corporal rank = gathering resources for 4 weeks least.. you mentioned that they don’t have to gather them every week, so they will stay a recruit till they find the will and time to cap 4 times. So they should be least capping for straight weeks and not when they feel like it.

That’s not a way to motivate people, they will be like.. "ah I’m not willing to do it this week I’ll wait another week". The people that we have aren’t keen on gaining ranks, we have what 200 recruits? And they are fine with their rank even though they only have to cap once for a higher rank. This will make the progress even slower and most of them won’t be motivated enough to help us with the resources just when we need it most.

For example:
Recruit = probation/inactive
Corporal = 2 weeks straight capping
Sergeant = 4 weeks straight capping
Lieutenant = 6 weeks straight capping
Captain = 8 weeks straight capping
General = 10 weeks straight capping

I agree that we should make it a bit harder to get a higher rank in the clan, but doing it now won’t be good for the citadel and that is our goal, to be one of the top clans.

Before: people will be less motivated, generals might gain some more respect and they will cap to keep their rank, probably the same thing for captains and the few people that do care about having a rank. But the recruits will be even less motivated to work, they didn’t do it when it was easier.. why would they now it takes up more time? :] we can still tell everyone that we will kick the people that don’t cap when we need it, that would be the only reason why they will consider doing It.

After the tier upgrade, we can tell people to cap for that upgrade and that it will be their last chance to gain their ranks fast, that and kicking the inactive recruits. We will have 2 ways that will motivate the ranks to cap. We will have over a month to explain it to them so they will get used to it and we can set things up, since our way of ranking and noting it down will have to change again.

Least that’s how I see it :)
