I agree with the suggestion for screenshots to be uploaded to a dedicated forum thread or location. This means all deputies and overseers will need to be a part of the forums and posting those offenses. I'm split on the proof part. Deputies and overseers should be trusted, however, we clearly have issues regarding ranks that need to be resolved. as such establishing clear cut rules to set protocol and restablish a working clan order needs to happen. Once we are all sure that the rules are being followed we can move to not needing proof. However, should that trust be abused again we're back where we started. If erik could trust all ranks the problem wouldn't exist but this isn't the case and we need to strictly apply these rules to remedy the situation. Organizers I don't believe should have kicking rights unless there are only one or two, more means unnecessary spread of power. Similarly the number of staff (overseers and deputies) should be restricted, though I'm not sure in what ratio. Overall I suppose I'm for the proposed changes though there needs to be some fine tuning and further reforms to the operation of ngor. Similarly, mandatory screenshots should be a temporary solution. |

Heliana: I've altered Overseer to how it should have been from the start. Only Deputy Owners can kick from chat. And since Jagex haven't learned how to code the game so ranked names can be kicked, we have to derank a user to issue a 60 minute kick. Because of this reason it should only be used after a user is warned, and ignores warning and must be kicked to maintain order and rules for the chat. The bans MAY be issued after screen image is saved if a user is logging out of chat to avoid kick, then back on to spam 1 line briefly before logging off once more. This creates an error "User not found." Banning is the ONLY way to handle this problem because JaGex can't code the chat properly. A user remains banned from chat AFTER 3 image reports are filed, and AFTER those 3 image reports are reviews, confirmed and voted on by majority of our Deputy Owners. For every offense a Deputy Owner verbally warns the offender. If offense continues then an image is saved and the user is kicked from chat. This warn before report method is used for EACH of the 3 reports leading up to ban vote to ensure the offender is aware he/she is breaking a rule. It also sets an example for others that offense is not tolerated in our chat. Veiled Black: Chat rules are posted here: http://s3.zetaboards.com/NGoR/single/?p=79275&t=658092 Known offenders are listed here: http://s3.zetaboards.com/NGoR/single/?p=79373&t=658092 It can be found on our official Clan Forum at RuneScape.com and in our forum header at "Rules". Were aware of the rules Erik, I believe the point of discussion is that they need to be changed, for the good of the cc on ensuring the proper running of the clan. The old ways just don't cut it and as such we need to adapt and change. On the note of kicking however, are we to rerank the kicked user to their previous rank once they rejoin the cc? |
