So I'll be posting 4 different topic threads on here to see a change in C9. There was a discussion on 7/1/2012 at citadel hall, where erik discussed and heard several feedbacks from various people. This was the result. It is apparant that Jagex refuses to fix or listen to their community fretting over ranks. Kire667's main concern with Admin+ ranks is that they have the power to change settigns and kick. But with some persuassion,we would like to try out a new system, and if it goes all well, implement it permanently. A person, who has capped in citadel, meaning, has earned GENERAL rank for 8+ WEEKS,get's a chance to become an Organizer. How? All Generals in a particular month that are worthy for this ranking will be places into a vote. Everyoen is allowed to vote for thier favourite general. The person chosen will be set to Organizer rank. An Organizer's duty, and ONLY duty,is to host a clan event, once per week. They shall not tough any settings in the clan settings section, and if caught kicking/being unloyal/offensive/bragging,will be immediately dernaked/baned from clan. The Organizers ( total of 3 ) will choose what type of event to host,if it's pvm/pvp or skill based and every week switch styles. The Organizers deemed worth enough will have chance to become Overseers, and finally even considered for Deputies. ===================================================================== Now,we need feedback from all Clan Members to pass on this rule. Deputies/Overseers shall pass on a vote for others. How? Let's use Player named 'x" Deputies/overseers will ask every few hrs in cc if anyone wishes to vote. If player X wants to,he/she shall add the Deputy/Overseer and notify him/her with an answer. Such as : Yes/No,I agree/I disagree. Than the Deputy/Overseer must screenie this vote and go into the specific thread on Ngor forums and say: " Player X voted Yes. " -link to screenie proof- Screenies will be required so there won't be any false voting. If caught there will be harsh consequences. Please pass on this message in cc every few hours. There will be shortly a quickcode for this same post on rs forums,so that deputies can refer people on instead of lecturing. Thank you for your co-operation Edited by Heliana, Jan 7 2012, 09:24 AM.

Agreed with everything except, place the vote on ngor. They need to be registered here in order to be on the ballot once gen and in order to vote at all. This be the easiest and least pain in the butt way to do it ^ regarding organizers only, leave deputies to vote on deputies Edited by Rach, Jan 7 2012, 10:37 PM.

I agree with most of this. I disagree with one thing though. I think only people with a certain rank or higher should be able to vote on something like that. If you allow just members or lower people to vote it will just get messed up. It always fails when you allow EVERYONE to vote |

Generals should have the choice to decline being in the vote. Organiser is a huge job, not all generals are ready for such responsibility, nor are all suited for the job. Organisers should also have the role of promoting and where asked help in running individual events organised by other clan members (99 parties, small team boss runs and so on). With that feedback, i agree with the proposed changes. |

Perhaps viewing this alongside Nam in the sense if everyone voted then it could easily be favortism, manipulation and corruptions as opposed to the Deputy Owners voting on which organize and host events best for the clan. Other than that I see this working great and actually being a benefit to keeping resources up so they can earn way into the higher rank beyond General. Still worried about a repeat of King Cut back in 2009. But this would be far worse since any rank above General has full power to clear the chat and ranks aren't set by the owner and saved on the owner's friends list. |

Erik, have you brought this to jagex yet? They probably wont do anything but i guess it is worth a shot. And with stricter rules it wouldnt be as likely to happen. If it doesnt work it doesnt work, might as well try though |

maybe we change it so the whole clan votes on generals instead of organizers? that way its not a popularity contest which can lead to an abuse of power? just an idea |

Yes, Jagex is aware of the ranking issue, and they basically said "If you don't want someone to have the ability to kick, dont rank them past general". |
