Figured I might as well say this now. I'm going to make an effort to actively check and post to at least a few forum topics per day. I'm nearly 20k post count. I once had motivation to keep that up since we had a few people aimed to passing my record. But even without that in the picture - merely posting RS News and checking up on weekly citadel/clan ranks is not enough to get us by.

If we want an active forum, we need more events by the people. And we're sure as not going to get there if the founding leader can't even show the effort and involvement enough to check up on these events and help get word out about them to the YouTube and FaceBook community.

I never said formally that I left nor took a break. But I have. I focused effort on GamingHeavens forum to earn my rank in Ventrilo after that ass Papi banned me from his. And we entrusted our people under him to actually uphold real rules and be true to the people. I closed my Ventrilo and ended up getting backstabbed for something I wasn't even involved in, and something we have since corrected - the removal of Borisdec from power for abusing and misusing his kick ability to overly enforce rules beyond what is written.

Since then I've earned my rank as moderator on Ventrilo with the supervision and guidance of well-known Amber Meow, which also helped me earn an easier way in to our current Ventrilo home for NG. I've since quit the GamingHeavens forum for issues not regarding my retirement from MineCraft on their server. But for the mere fact I was hated by one of the GamingHeavens DJs, Dan. He had an issue with my posting over 10 times per day, even though it wasn't "gravedigging" claiming it as spam for being too active. So I've dropped that forum completely for now.

I've turned my focus to mainly Ventrilo, partly on here to check with reports/ranks/news, and majorly involved in YouTube/FaceBook/RuneScape. But without a forum the RuneScape side has died out not only for Friend Chat, but also some of Clan Chat. We're nothing of where we left off BEFORE clan camps were invented. As a result we're struggling to keep up with the other clans - when we've been around from BEFORE clans even existed for JaGex. And that's a shame - considering we were nearly maxed 200 members on chat at a time but never actually reached our goal due to multiple clan splits over useless drama.

We're aimed to earn it all back however soon as our citadel reaches maximum upgrade. Then we will offer the BEST experience gain per click per week, along with the best bonus experience clan ring unlocked each week in ANY skill JaGex plans to add to future updates with the citadels - if and when those occur!

So if it's not a day late and a dollar short. I'd like to extend my welcome to current and returning members of NG. Let's bring back the pride we once had in our great community (before the clan updates were released). And let's get back in the spirit of actively recruiting back not only our retired members, but invite a few new players you meet along the way.

Remember - this community was founded on accepting EVERYONE, regardless of requirements to join like other communities and definitely not like clans. Because we're about the players first and foremost. Stats and all that hooplah come secondary. ^_^

Looking forward to seeing you all at the next monthly 5m drop party (December 26th) - free world 14, our usual spot (Party Pete's). Still trying to gather feedback on when's the best time for everyone. It's always difficult determining the majority timezone of RuneScape. No matter what time works best for some, there will always be those that complain because they've missed out. :(

Events should be good but to be honest nearly everyone in the forum is from runescape and not many people from other games tend to join a forum without having members with similar interests.

Would be alright if we found some people from other games that would stay on the forum.

Mith: Sure sounds good. If you can go right ahead. We expanded into World of Warcraft for 2 months straight and everyone that started there to help us lead simply ditched forums completely to play just the game. Then we had XBox Live that went well for some years but had it's time and has died down since. And there was those few months while MineCraft was somewhat popular.

Just seems hard to keep people's interest in a game besides RuneScape. It truly IS the only game we can AFK to max, and watch movies or talk on forums while still gaining XP and PvM drops.

Alex: Oh. Ha!

The defect of equality is that we only desire it with our superiors

Guild Wars 2 = Inactive
World Of Warcraft = Inactive
Runescape = Inactive

To buisness! And welcome back ^^
Events are certainly a good start, but we just need to offer a greater community feel I think. There are times when the cc is silent despite many people being in there which needs to change by developing a closer community, and if we can get these forums up and going again that's a good start (and this isn't just for RS it works for everything). I frequent LoL if there's interest in developing an 'NGOG' team for LoL (ranked teams means that is possible) still along side RS so branching out that way is possible (though LoL is less community orientated than RS).
Main point is we need to build up that close community that once existed for NGOG which seems to have diminished - build that again and I think many things will fall into place again. My thoughts on the matter anyway.

The problem with making this an active forum is getting the word out. I'd love to tell all the new recruits about this site, but how do I do that without getting muted?

5m drop on begins in 8 hours 9 minutes. Hope to see everyone there!

Veiled Black: I fully agree. We're not just about RuneScape. It just seems most of our fan bade comes from that game. We started out as Diablo and Diablo 2. Soon they will release Diablo 3 - but heck if I hear many discussing joining once it's out. People just branch off into their own little games and their own thing. But we want people to meet up with others in every game and have a sense of "home" no matter what game we play for fun and friends.

Pinta: Simple. Tell them to YouTube or Google. They can search our clan name or "w9hq" and find us. If not they can also find us through most any of our names because we're listed by Google Bots on the search engine. If all else fails I tell them to check "National Guard of Runescape" or "National Guard of Gaming". We've still got both of those .com's.
