Jagex are retards I must say. First they sell bonus XP and tell us how we can buy our own new membership account to boost our mains +10% for 5 times a year. Then they hide the update that you can earn +270% (2.7x) XP starting Friday September 9th 2011 way in the bottom of the back lining of an update promoting 15% off 3-month membership when paying by credit card. Don't you love how shady Jagex is when it comes to money? They promote themselves to the max for cash, even have a message pop up encouraging all F2P to buy membership to unlock the Dwarven Army Axe. They post on the log in page showing you can earn +10% XP if your friend makes a new account for RuneScape and buys membership on it, and your "friend" earns 200% XP boost up to skill levels 30. So yes. Everyone wanting 1.2x-2.7x XP boost between September 9th and 12th should already be stocked up from the last time we already announced 2 months ago to stock up items on GE for the wasteful skills that lose money to 99. Because when Jagex finally makes a news post the items have already nearly maxed price and it's too late to even merch those items if you wanted to. I've already requested off from my job those days. I've earned 5m herblore XP yesterday with only my 6th day of +10% bonus XP. So imagine how much I'll be making per day starting off at +270% bonus XP! I NEED to get at least three max skills (near to 99 by like 5-10k XP off - so I can level them later months for the 5m drop parties we host). Edited by Kire667, Aug 25 2011, 12:26 AM.

Fming is getting done that weekend....which means I need to do those quests for my adze soon. I love how the 15% off is for the new membership price not the old that I still pay. So if I choose to get the 3month membership, I save a whole....60cents! xD I love Jagex, don't you? *sarcasm* The dominon tower sounds interesting....and a slayer dungeon woo!

They picked the 3rd week school is back in for the new year. Kids will be tired come the following Monday. That's for sure! Also wasn't the first double XP week started in either July or August? Why do they want to make it during the school year this time around? It's as if the name-changed "bonus" XP weekend started a flux in the time line and ever since the event pops up at random when ever Jagex toss a dart at the yearly calendar and say "This is when we will host Bonus XP Weekend." Oh and by the way. Yes I changed the title of this RS News. Maybe Jagex should think priorities when making the news. Everyone waits for Bonus XP Weekend (for all year or months at a time). Promoting the 15% off 3month membership which has been done 2 hours ago at all Target store locations seems a bit pushing it of overly advertising membership to the free worlders. Perhaps they forgot to consider they're in free world either because they can barely afford internet or they're already paying money to a better ran game - World of Warcraft. And we chose to pay for the benefits of getting away from bots. Now that Jagex allows botting without openly stating the fact, and majority of their monthly paycheck is paid by botters, there's really nothing special we unlock if we pay membership or not (other than +10% XP for 5 weeks a year, and a few higher items to make 99s quicker to earn). |
