Don't vote RuneScape this year: http://s3.zetaboards.com/NGoR/topic/7510731/ Manipulating votes for the Golden Joystick Award to where moderators lose rank with Jagex if they oppose voting for RuneScape. Supporters of these moderators being banned for posting on the forum in non-hostile agreement with these moderators claiming awards are earned not simply handed out because we're asked to vote for the game we play. We thought manipulating the price at Grand Exchange for Climbing Boots after so many merch clans were banned and muted for promoting they help make people rich overnight.. was bad? That's nothing compared to the new lows Jagex have achieved. I'd like you to meet Jiblix. A former Forum Moderator up until August 15th 2011. That day he posted a thread on RuneScape claiming he won't be voting for RuneScape in this year's Golden Joystick Award, or any year after simply because they don't deserve it. It wasn't earned through supporting the game or the players. It's simply for running the largest bot-infested and gold selling game in the world. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tq9MXlPColw In his video he fully shows most of the top bot spots and no Jagex or player mod in sight to end them. There's massive gold website bots autospamming every world at Lumbridge and Grand Exchange. It seems the website with the most bots per world gets all the hits when kid's parents decide a website to visit when buying online gold for a virtual game. And Jagex does nothing to stop it. They don't even try. A couple years ago it was mute offense to even mention you run a merch clan. They claimed that caused the economy to crash if people made item prices rise or fall slightly. I guess buying gold online has no affect on the economy. It simply shifts gold around from one account to the other. Even if this gold is generated by the billions every hour through every server having at least 100+ botters gathering resources and killing bosses for drops to sell on website or mass flood the Grand Exchange. Where is Jagex now? Sitting back in the office making update after update when what this game truly needs is a good old fashioned mass bot banning like only Mod Andrew can deliver. Jagex also makes public claims they're fighting these bots exactly 1 month ago. No follow up to this RS News post? http://services.runescape.com/m=news/fighting-the-bots---an-update We all know better. We can see Jagex never steps foot on their own game or they would know they're losing this fight. 3 years too late. The bots have already taken over and the game no longer belongs to the players and paying members -- it's all about botting or who can buy the most gold. Before you say I merely blindly follow what others think, say or do. Consider the facts. We ALL endure idiot Jagex staff and I've only met a handful of their "team" that actually have good intentions for the players in mind. My YouTube channel had 2 of 3 marks against it. 1 more and I'm banned for life. And why? All because Jagex Ltd claimed DMCA against two of my videos. The one in 2008 for showing people how to set up a clan chat channel. The second in 2009 for showing them how to locate and mine shooting stars. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a11/kire668/Runescape%203/jagex_youtube.png And for what? While they go ahead and allow RSBot and Gold4RS to upload videos in bulk promoting links to websites on how to cheat the system and the game to get what they never deserved to begin with? Since when has being a rule-abiding player and encouraging good guides on how to "legitly" play the game become reason to ban users off YouTube? With that said. I encourage everyone to NOT vote for RuneScape in this year Golden Joystick Award. As said by Jiblix, awards are earned not merely posted everywhere and asked for.
