New rare item for RuneFest doesn't matter to me. I bought my ticket but since last year a bunch of idiots were selling the code rather than using it on themselves I guess Jagex had this ultimate plan to change it without telling anyone until the very last second. I failed to read the fine print way down at "#16" on RuneFest.com Q&A page and thus Jagex ****** me again! I can't get my RuneFest2011 item unless I spend cash to fly from Florida to London for a 48 hour event which I only bothered to pay the lowest price for that item and get a 1-day ticket for 56 Euro (didn't bother the translation from Euro to USD -- too lazy). Last year I paid $80 and got my RuneFest2010 Flagstaff of Festivities via E-mail with no problem. Ah well. Such is life. At least I know next year they will have way less ticket sales as a result of the update made here on out. Us loyals that love every rare and give our heart and soul to RuneScape even if we're unlucky to not be born in London to actually attend their little event still wished to contribute for the sake of showing we were around when the had a real-world event. Something the old Mod Andrew would have shunned back in RS classic days with his warnings (never give your personal details) and the whole concept it's "bad" to meet in real life with friends met via RuneScape.

http://services.runescape.com/m=forum/c=jPAgvS3VMqs/forums.ws?235,236,655,63029950,goto,1 This year is gonna suck. I've purchased a ticket for RuneZoneYT and for SilentC0re. I may purchase one for WhatsUpWithRs as well if it ensures at least ONE of my friends will be trustworthy enough to relay that rare in game item code from attending. Last year life was simple. They failed to inform us this year they won't email us the code for the item after buying the ticket. They only give it out to those that attend. So I'm guessing it's an item you get in the game from a code put in that goodie bag they give you for attending (as we've seen in last year's vids). There's only 2 people that support my effort to unlock EVERY rare item since 2003 on RuneScape. The rest that trolled me on my forum thread followed this issue over to SilentC0re's thread to further troll me saying I'm not worthy of a rare item simply because I'm not rich enough to fly from Florida to London for some dumb 2 day event. If there was no item involved I wouldn't bother giving my cash to Jagex. We pay plenty per year for membership as is. Even last year I complained about why in the hell they only give us a rare item if we pay them $80? It's real-world trading and Jagex is backing it fully. Ah well. Guess in due time we shall learn on October 29th 2011 exactly how this item is handed out to those that show up to RuneFest. |
