maybe we could go back to old systen of ....red knight leaders co leader, ect... but what was good with those is having to have many requiments like a monthly status post, have so many posts and be here for a certain amount of time...but thats just what i like not make it one thing but have a couple things to do

Basic rundown...do we use a post based system, time system or something else for ranking? :L
Its easier to probably read through to be honest, cbf posting specifics haha

I'd say, keep fc ranked with 99s,and change clan a bit. Use it as a site 'hook'. The more you post via here, the higher the rank. Ofcourse the numbers of posts and such,i'll leave up to you to decide :o

But it seems a quite good. Time system might not be so effective, and i don't think you should make it a 99-ranking based clan also. Keep that for fc ;)

I've always wanted the Clan Chat to be as Heliana called it a "Hook" it's a great middle man for getting people from the game to here. Then if they enjoy it enough in the chat they become a member of the forums actively contributing towards topics and thus earning respect among the community. I find it hard to listen to people in the chat telling me the rules when they haven't even visited the site/forums. As would anyone who has been part of NGoR for a significant amount of time.

I think loyalty should be rewarded, at least that way there's an incentive to stick around. If you want the authority to kick and enforce the rules of NGoR. You need to earn it through contributing to the community in more ways than being a name in the clan chat. Unfortunately Jagex has made it harder to be a guest in the CC and enjoying the full benefits of the chat, for example you have to put /// to write in CC if you're a guest which as i'm no longer ranked I am which is rather annoying and where as before I would set my chat settings to clan only (ignoring public chat cause i'm a depressive psycho) if i do that now it says i'm not in a chat as i'm only a guest.

However, if I remember rightly we tried this before rewarding ranks by loyalty but something must have happened to have changed to rank by 99's, so there's positives and negatives but from point of view I can't see many negatives. Anyway there's my 2 pence.

I'm with alex.
Basically what he said and what Heliana said above as well. CC needs to be a "hook" for forums. I can appreciate the draw of being a clan with loads of members, but members count for nothing if they don't get involved in the real community. CC should be forum/loyal members only. FC is our standard community and those of prestige, forum users, or loyal helpful members should be ranked in the CC. If you make the CC look almost like a "ngor elite" group, you've got incentive for people to join. On that note, we don't want idiots either so...

i really like the ideas people are saying and although i may repeat some this is just what i think.

Rankings should be determined not just by one set but by multiple sets of things:
Examples:
Time in the Clan
Activity on Fourms but also in game(posting/in-game chats/attending events)
Helpfullness to other members
and maybe a couple of other similer things.

I believe this would be better because the rankings wouldn't just be based off of one set of guildlines that maybe some people wouldn't agree with or something but just be based off of a variety of things and in the end it would be up to the admins and higher-ups to decide when a person deserves to be promoted, ect.
