Discuss this further in the event thread: http://s3.zetaboards.com/NGoR/topic/7483717/1 It took about the first year of us showing we actually DO drop items for people to really pick up the slack and start paying back all the money we've put in to get these events started and keep them going through the years 2003-2007. 2007-2010 were the dark ages. Mod Andrew felt the need to move Party Pete's into OUR drop location and then tell us if we wish to drop items over a 15k value it HAD to be through an NPC location/world where every banker spammed for 5 minutes to alert moochers on where our private drop took place. Obviously we ended the clan drop parties then and there.. waiting this glorious day.. February 1st 2011! If you wish to attend be sure to be on this forum the day we notify everyone on thread of the secret location/time of each and every drop (4 mini-drop parties per holiday). The EVENTS folder is already converted so users that aren't registered CAN'T ATTEND. We still have a select few VERY old clans linked to us from the old drop parties. I've begun posting on their forums to let them know we're still here and haven't died just because FT and drop parties did. Prepping them for what lies ahead. We encourage everyone to register at this forum if they wish to attend our events. The main event being drop parties. That's because the donations are from NG, so we mostly want to cycle those items back out to other members of NG. Keeps it in the family and also allows for collected drops to be later used to earn "donation rating" on the forum board. Benefit of donating includes listing on our forum and YouTube page. This shows how much each person gave. Benefit of Clan Chat "Catherby" include updated notification on when and where rarer items are located at time of dropping. Only ranked clan members can enter during drop parties. Benefit of registering on this forum is you learn the location/date/time of all drop parties. We post these in the Events forum section. Thanks to everyone for your patience during those long and enduring years waiting for this day. Musiq: Yeah not sure we will have drop aids anymore. I'm moving the items to NGoR accounts for pre-party storage. Then simply stand in a bank and keep withdrawing items and dropping items until all items are dropped. Jagex ruined drops last I heard and items now instantly appear when dropped to prevent drop trading to mains or pures. Since I think there's still a few rules left in RuneScape. Or have they removed Rule-6 where you can't help yourself with your own items? The 4 accounts used for storage will divide every holiday just like old times. Each holiday is split into 4 parts. Each part lasts roughly an hour. Then we all skill and chat until the following timezone has their drop party and we yet again gather at the hot spot and drop/grab items. But we shall work on the donation ranking system so the forum will show a list of all donations and in your profile it shall show your current total donation value at NG. More will be revealed. But it won't be like the old system making 5 ranks out of every forum rank just to have the icon by your name for Dx1 through Dx5 worth 1m for every donation rank on forum. And if I actually get to 99 smithing (like I did cooking, fletching, woodcut, fishing) I maybe at lack of funds spinning flax all the way to 99 crafting as my new AFK max skill. But for now it's already but boring as hell making cannonballs. But they pay 581 a steel bar into 4 balls. It's just so dang boring to do!
