Hmm, yeah just be yourself. Goth's are a pretty awesome bunch of people, but the worst thing to see is those who try to act goth and just don't fit.

Stereotypes are generalizations about a group of people whereby we attribute a defined set of characteristics to this group. These classifications can be positive or negative, such as when various nationalities are stereotyped as friendly or unfriendly.

Lol@Google AdSense "imgoth.com" with the witchcraft symbol in black/red.

I'm goth/skater/punk. I'm sure you've heard or seen the videos when I have all the spikes bracers and chains I wear on my shirt/pants.

I was seriously ticked off when back in high school I was late for class because the hall monitor made me sit there and unscrew every spike out of my steel toe boots and the shoulder straps of my backpack.

I still have a fascination with silver in the form of chains and spikes. Plus I love forging my own spike bracers and wristbands out of black leather with a hammer and screwdriver.

Having something that is unique is actually fun. Knowing that you didn't just go by Hot Topic or Spencers and be a lazy bum to buy a factory-made one and you actually designed the pattern on your own marking where you want every single spike and also the side of which spike you place where on the bracelets is simply fun and entertaining.

As I've heard ever since 2004 they banned anything from high school that resembles trademarks or logos to do away with the chance that freedom of expression could lead to another Trench Coat Mafia or gang affiliation violence. Might as well make public schools bad as private school. And I've been to both so I know how annoying a Christian school can be with the stupid tan or navy blue khakis along with a yellow or white button down shirt. They expect to make public school just as bad.

So yeah.. more or less if you are considering becoming Goth make sure you fully understand what you represent and the class you carry. Most of the time is it a choice under the good old freedoms given to us here in America by the troops that fight for those freedoms of expression to be anarchists and form a group that rejects the common "main stream" of society.

It's actually better because you don't just accept music because radio tells you you should like it. You can enjoy underground bands. And since we typically exclude the other groups such as jocks, preps, rednecks, greasers, nerds, (and I suppose emos since I never had to endure their annoyances during my high school years) it gives more time to write novels, poetry and music. It isn't necessarily a fact on being more feminine or masculine it's just enjoying the calmer things in life. While the rest of society is running around in total chaos trying to be better, richer or more popular than everybody else. We enjoy just being us. Average, sane, and observant of those around us and all of their faults and failures. Where others fail we adapt and learn from those mistakes witnessed. ;)

By the way the above is nothing to dis on the other groups. I've tried out a few and only three I enjoy. So based on where I am at the time and what people I am around all decides what I wear and how I portray myself at that given time. But my favorite has to be Goth. As everyone has known from the website colors of NGG (black/red/white) it's natural to assume. We are the only goth website for RuneScape (far as I know). Even though my favorite color was orange during youth I grew out of it around 1999.
