Maybe we should have stayed with the name "National Guard of Runescape". Since we changed over to having everything under the header of "National Guard of Gaming" we still have some good references of search engines and fan videos that link back to us no matter what name we are known by.

http://s3.zetaboards.com/NGoR/topic/659878/1/
This is a link to the previous discussion when we were #2 rank for "National Guard of". Shortly after a few months of new recruits searching to learn more about the community, we easily passed "National Guard of United States".

http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/National+Guard+of+Runescape
While browsing Google I located another website I never heard of until now. "The Free Dictionary" (.com). They somehow found what "NGoR" stands for (a feat still not mastered by JaGeX Ltd) and posted the acronym on their website for everyone to finally know the truth behind the abbreviation.

http://www.ngor.tk/
The old website we one had was mastered to something FAR better than it ever was when we ran it. Who now owns ngor.tk (our first website redirect URL back in 2003)? We may never know. But it sure isn't the real deal (our website is nationalguardofrunescape.com which redirects to http://ngor.bravehost.com/). At first I had a strange suspicion it was the same person whom made RuneScape account Catherby9 and is attempting to deter members away from the real RScc. But this website shows no signs of malware, and it directs users to nationalguardofrunescape.com.

Dragonz Clan alliance (June 2005). I can't believe how much Google actually archives BEYOND just what gets posted here at our forum or website.

Even the 2009 banner for our forum is linked up to the very first page on Google. Along with some feedback from the actual artist (FINALLY found who it really is -- after the lies fed to us by i0__0i).

Now this one is just funny. Encyclopedia.com makes reference to the NGoR fan store advertisement video and actually makes front page on Google way down at the bottom of the search results from a video that isn't even a year old.

http://article.wn.com/view/2010/03/02/PBS_J_wins_95_million_contract_with_Air_and_Army_National_Gu/
Even "World News" has us listed as an actual "National Guard" video with reference to the Ventrilo harassment series. Now that's just.. weird.

April 2007 a discussion regarding the website we scrapped at the start of 2008 (where all the RuneScape guides once were). The post at Warrior Nation Network (one of our close allies and where much of the older members of NGG moved on to after they got bored of RuneScape) was a link to the Crating skill guide. I can't believe that forum post is still up and didn't expire or get deleted by now.

http://s6.zetaboards.com/N0valyfe_RS/topic/856470/1/
December 2006 (the year N0valyfe quit RuneScape) there was an advertisement post made on his forum in reference to NGoR. No alliance was formed, but he made a guest appearance for a 57 fletching part filmed by i0__0i.

http://s6.zetaboards.com/N0valyfe_RS/topic/862255/1/
A healthy reminder that N0valyfe's forum is even more heartless than us here at NGG. From the strict rules enforced at RScc by Borisdec to the way DragonSpeaker insults left and right on any new member at forum or the tone used by Kai if someone on Ventrilo disagrees with his opinion. None of this begins to compare to the degree of flaming you get when you hang with N0alyfe's friends. And now I understand fully why he retired from RuneScape. That is the sort you recruit when involved in a competitive game like RS.

If Google isn't enough attention, I have E-mailers asking if I wish to advertise in other languages than English.

I am Dr. Marc Schneider and I work for Multilingual Search Engine Optimization Inc. in Washington DC ( Tel: 1 202-250-3645) - I would like to speak with the person in charge of your international clientele. Who is my contact? Who should I speak to??

In fact, after visiting http://s3.zetaboards.com , I have noticed that your website cannot be found on foreign search engines (I tested it on Hispanic search engines, German search engines, Asian search engines, etc.) Our company is specialized in multilingual search engine promotions in 28 languages . From the Japanese Google to the German Yahoo, from the AOL in Spanish to the MSN in Chinese, we can show you how to develop a true international online presence by promoting your website on foreign search engines.

Let us show you how to develop a presence on the multilingual web without having to translate your website: It is not necessary to translate your website in order to submit to foreign search engines, however, you need to have at least 1 page in Japanese optimized with Japanese keywords and meta tags in order to submit to Japanese search engines, at least 1 page in Spanish optimized with Spanish keywords in order to submit to Hispanic search engines and so on...

I strongly suggest that you watch our online presentation which will explains clearly how to get top rankings on foreign search engines with only 1 entry page per language (click on the following link or copy-paste it into your web browser): http://www.mplw.net/demo

From the Japanese Google to the German Yahoo, from the AOL in Spanish to the MSN in Chinese, get users to find your website when searching with YOUR KEYWORDS in their Native language.

Please call me at +1 (202) 250-3645 or email me and let's work on giving your website the true international exposure which it deserves to have with foreign native online users!!

Regards,

Marc Schneider, Ph.D.

Ah google, you are truly one of the greatest things ever made. As for keeping the 'National Guard of Rs' name; No, it was a good idea to change from NGoR to NGoG.

By the way, this thread makes me want to take a trip down memory lane >.>

Zg7: I just did that. I revisited RuneHQ, Zybez, Rune Addicts all thanks to the Zezima Gallery on NGG. But I wouldn't even be on that page if it weren't for reading an inbox from N0vaLyfe sent April 2009.

It's amazing how he contacted me for the final time the SAME WEEK that Zezima actually spoke my name at our P2P home town. :) And didn't even realize this when I told Zezima off on video about how N0vaLyfe deserved a Player Moderator crown for quitting like Zezima earned when he left game an threw in the towel. ;)

Just so happened to hop over to the Zezima page on here to inbox N0vaLyfe a link to all that drama we got into with King Cut + Zezima and a few of the other PMods.

N0vaLyfe always has been my #1 favorite on this game. Too bad he left it in 2006.
